I'm sure there are the Nougat Beta Roms. But on my VIE-L09C432 I can't install it. I'll not try to flash "VIE-L09C45B302CUSTC45D001"... too risky - the P9 Plus it's my primary phone... someone else wants give it a try?

It's normal to fail without debranding, best thing is to wait for the C432-update. Irritating though that the chinese roms are up to version 366 by now and we are stuck at 185. Europe seems to be distant and obscure by chinese eyes ...

If you haven't rooted and haven't touched the stock recovery then you can update. Just get the right update.zip for your installed version.
For 6.: is there an update around to get back from 3.0 to 2.3 like there is one available for L02 and L12?

If you want something clean like stock ROM , just wait for a ota update and its all. Nothing will be removed normally. I updated mine to 3.0 beta and any loss, and we don't know when will the stable be available( maybe this year but nothing sure).

Hi, I don't want to root, but I would like to try the beta EMUI 3.0 update. Currently my phone is completely Vanilla (with one update). Would I be able to receive the final 3.0 update from Huawei if I use this update.zip?
so guys im thinking to buy this phone. had question, Are custom roms such as cynogen and PA going to be available for this device in near futere ?
Thanks
@Far_SighT, ye but u lose everything.
@moizsami, probably not, because of the kernel and the developers.

To be frank, it is unlikely, since we do not have any developers for our device yet as at now. Just hope that any of them will buy Honor 6 as their next phone.

Ok, I'll check that.
I've already installed original ROM for CAM-L21 - C900B191 (although it has EMUI 4.1.3). I would like to rollback to Android 5.0 because I have problems with bluetooth smart devices e.g. heart rate monitor.

It comes loaded with oreo, so it must.
I can confirm that it supports project treble ??
Have you tried the "getprop ro.treble.enabled" command in the terminal ? If no, could you please confirm whether the value was "true" or "false".
I used treble check app & it says there is support for treble but no A/B partition so no seamless updates.

I'm a little confused. How come it supports Treble if it doesn't have a separate 'vendor partition' which is supposed to bring seamless updates?
I don't think the app you're using is reliable.
Well, either that or I'm missing something BIG about Project Treble!
He didn't say that! The phone does indeed have a vendor partition, it just doesn't have the A/B scheme (that's what he said at least).

When I do a hard reset, will project treble stay intact? I'd do a hard reset to get rid of the installed bloatware before I setup the phone.

Okay, got my device today, did a factory reset before starting. All worked fine. Yes, for sure Project Treble support, but only A-Partition. But after the reset and setup all that Bloatware was there again. Well, not to nice, but you can uninstall some of them. The device is really nice and you really get a lot of SP for the money. So, now wait for the first updates to come

The reason i haven't done that, as i explained in the other thread, is because i need android pay, or Google pay as it's called now. I know i can pass Safetynet with some fiddling with magdisk, but as you know magdisk vs Google is a cat and mouse story, Google closes one hole resulting with magdisk failing safetynet, then magdisk updates and safetynet passes again, then Google closes that hole and so on and on. Android pay is too important for me to have to keep doing that. Without magdisk as soon as BL is unlocked, which is required for LOS, safetynet fails. If GPay wasn't so important to me i would have loaded LOS , or phh AOSP, some time ago as EMUI is just bloatware in my opinion. Why OEMs, and it's not just Honor, think their skins are better than stock is strange. If they truly believe their skin is that great then make it an apk and let users decide, don't force it down people's throat and then not even give them the option to disable it...rant over..

True, but even without the chance to go back to Stock if I want, is just too risky for me at the moment. Sure will try later...

EMUI 9.0 - Android Pie - Beta

Yesterday EMUI 9.0 was introduced in India and although it will be officially out of the box on October 16 at the Mate 20 launch, other Huawei smartphones already started receiving the Beta. Latest info comes about the Honor Play with its serial number COR-L29, offered mainly in Europe and Middle East. The phone is eligible for the 9.0.0.110 build that brings new Android and UI features.
The build number is COR-L29C185E303R1P8B115 or COR-L29C432E303R1P8B110, depending on the actual unit. It brings some features like Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, Android Dashboard (which is actually Digital Wellbeing), GPU Turbo 2.0 and plenty of design improvements. There is also the standard security patch, dated October 2018.
If you aren’t into Beta variants, you should wait a bit more, but given the Honor Play has top-notch Kirin 970, will be among the first devices that will receive EMUI 9.0, based on Android Pie and it should arrive by the end of 2018.

No there is no different process. Just do what you do when you do a clean flash. (wipe cache, dalvik, system, internal and format data type yes) No need for firmware flash etc.
For me this error happens with the downloaded file... Redmi note 7 global. I've never unlocked bootloader or installed roms. I have miui global, I don't get the error
