Hi.
I've been experiencing some issues on 7.1.1 some notification alerts sounds half duration and when i disable the sound and vibrate options from the keyboard both are kept enabled
Do anyone have the same issues ?
Regards.

So I've searched everywhere but I haven't been able to find an answer.
After I updated my Captivate to the official Gingerbread 2.3.5 update...When I get a call or notification, the vibration is way more intense than what it was on Froyo. Has anyone else had this problem?
From your home screen, when you enter Settings, can you then click on: Sound, and then Vibration Intensity? If so, you should then be able to lower it a bit.
The reason I ask is I'm not running stock GB, but Legend 3.4, and that setting is grayed out. But if it's available in stock, try it.
Go into settings/sounds make sure haptic feedback is check , then set the vibration intensity.
Thanks guys,
but I've already looked into that. On the official Gingerbread release there is no 'Vibration Intensity' option except for the Haptic Feedback part. And when I adjust the haptic feedback vibration intensity it does adjust some of the system vibrations (the vibrate when I put it on 'vibrate', etc.) but it does nothing to the call and notification vibrations.
But thanks for your input!

An idea? Have you tried adjusting the call settimgs under 'all calls'? Turn off the vibrate settings there for vibrate on connect. It will still vibrate on silent mode.

Whenever I set ringtone any ringtone on my Note, and when someone is calling me, phone is ringing with very low sound for 1 or 2 seconds, and then immediately is increasing to high sound. I checked, rechecked the settings but I could not find any settings for this. Is this normal for every Note out here ? ? ?

Its a feature increasing ringtone ! If you have a custom rom like Checkrom then you can disable it by installing a zip and then you will have a normal ringing ringtone and not the gradually increasing ringtone!
Cheers!

So now info for context: I've noticed that for notification alerts set for sound and vibrate; vibrations will start with the notification, but then stop as soon as sounds start.
This seems like it would be a software bug, so curious to know if the issue is widespread?
T-Mobile USA. Snapdragon.
Just updated to Andriod 12 / One UI 4 using the official OTA. No notifications vibrate. Facebook messenger, SMS, outlook, gmail. They make do make sounds if I turn on the sound notification setting. My connected Galaxy watch vibrates. The phone will not vibrate.
In my notification settings all the apps are allowed have sound and vibrate. But nothing will vibrate, they will only make sounds.
Everything was working without issue until I updated this morning. Any solutions?
Clear cache and data from each app that wont work.. had the same problem... had to do it per app..... now its working fine
Most irritating was my alarm not working haha just taught it was my fault but it was just software problem...
Hope it helps ya
Thanks. I ended up doing a factory reset. That resolved it.

It is a Android 12 bug. Unfortunately, Android has yet not fixed this bug and users are still experiencing the issue. However, some of the users have managed to fix the issue by following some of the basic fixes. You can find out those tricks here: Notification sound not working on Android
Try these solutions and if you are still unable to fix the problem, then wait for Android to release a new patch to resolve this sound issue.
