App data getting wiped again and again? - Xiaomi Mi MIX Questions & Answers

Every so often, I have to re-set-up an app. Like Android Auto, this morning, it wouldn't auto start again. When I started it, I had to go through "setup" again. Has anyone experienced that?
I've turned off the Security App's Cleaner to clean automatically,. I can't seem to add any exceptions.
I've turned off MIUI optimization in developer options.
Don't Keep activities: OFF
Background process limit: standard
Memory Optimization: middle
Anyone else have any ideas?

[FIX] Nook Color - Market stuck in "Download starting..."

All of a sudden my nooted Nook Color, which has been running beautifully for a long time, refuses to download new apps or updates in the Market app. They are stuck at "Starting download..." forever.
I have tried unmounting/mounting my SD card, and changing my status in Gmail (following instructions in other threads) but to no avail. For obvious reasons I can't toggle between Wifi/3G either. So I don't know what to do...
I have also tried stopping/cancelling all downloads and wiping the data for Market and rebooting the Nook.
OMG! After doing all of the above, in no particular order, when I went into Settings -> Manage Applications, all of a sudden all of the previously stuck downloads downloaded automatically - even the ones I had cancelled.
Now everything is working again. Just thought this might help someone else with the same problem in the future.
Yeah, I have that issue on rooted 1.2. Sometimes the only way to get it working is to clear cache, force stop, or reboot. Annoying, sure, but I don't install that many apps to make me pass on the rooted's better battery life.
Interesting.. I just had the same issue on CM 7.0.2.
I tried everything from other threads with no luck. Then I remembered that I disabled a lot of things with Autostarts. Autostarts is an app that can prevent other apps from starting upon certain events.
Apparently I disabled Marked from starting upon com.android.vending.*, some *intent.RECEIVE and some other events. Once I enabled these events I was able to download and install everything.
I read many people have the same problem and most of them probably don't have Autostarts app. My case could be coincidence or, maybe, some notification mechanism breaks in Android in some cases.

OK, now this is even weirder. I downloaded some new apps and updated all apps that needed updating, but after that no downloads worked again for about 12 hours. But then this morning miraculously they started by themselves - again. Seems very erratic...
Good for you...for me NOT
I have the exact same problem you reported (ie, apps I try to download to my rooted HTC Magic suddenly became stuck in "Starting download..."
I did everything you did and including checking in Settings -> Manage Applications, but all without success. What I have not done is enable "Market from starting upon com.android.vending*, "*intent.RECEIVE and some other events" as suggested by Miksha since I don't have a clue as to how to do that.
So if someone can advise me on how to "enable events" and/or has another solution to offer, I would be appreciative.

If you don't have autostarts app you probably don't need to enable anything. I had to enable events because I disabled them in autostarts prior to that. You could not do that without autostarts.
It is probably possible that events are disabled because of something else. The only way I know to check this is to buy autostarts (one dollar app).

Unlocked S10+ apps not refreshing in background?

Hey guys I have an issue with my new phone. For some reason I cannot get my Honeywell T6 geofencing to work unless I put the app in the foreground. I've also noticed I don't get any notifications until several hours later for my apps and Gmail. I checked all these apps and they have background data enabled and I don't have the data saver on either. Any ideas??
Here's a few things to try:
Go to Settings -> Device care -> Battery
Select the 3 dots in the upper right and select Settings -> Sleeping apps
Verify the apps you have trouble with aren't listed in there.
Then, from the main settings screen go to Apps.
Find one of the apps you're having trouble with and tap on it (or just select any app you wish).
Select Battery -> Optimize battery usage
Change the drop-down from "Apps not optimized" to "All".
Verify that the apps you have issues with are not enabled.
I had this same exact problem with mine. The only way I would be able to get app notifications to come through was to reboot and everything would come flooding in. I tried the app sleeping apps thing but there was only about 5 apps in there, and out of all the apps I was missing notifications from only one of them was in there. The problem went away on its own though. Not a single clue as to what was going on or causing the issue.
The second part fixed my issues! Thanks!!!! I was scratching my head wondering what was going on! Once I disabled the honeywell it instantly recognized that I was within the geofence (ive been home for 20mins now)and started up my furnace!

Strange issue with App Launch (App Power Management)

Hi, I have noticed something strange with the settings in Settings > Battery > App Launch
I have turned this off due to previously asking about not receiving notifications, this did fix that issue. i then found the 3 dots in the top right of that screen and there’s an option called manage manually and as would be the case most apps have 3 ticks next to most of the apps, there are a lot that, don't have ticks though, i would assume all should have ticks if i have set the auto manage to off?
I then thought i would try enabling manage automatically again and then manually switching only the apps i want to run freely to do so, this all seemed to go fine and as i tapped on each one i got the option to turn on auto launch, secondary launch & run in background. So once i have done all the apps i wanted i went out of them settings then went back in and it has completely turned off auto manage for everything.
It seems that when you turn off this setting it is best to also go to manage manually as well and check the apps that are / are not selected; this does seem to save when you go out then back in.
I must admit i was very impressed with the battery on the p30 until i turned the auto management off and it feels a lot more like my old phone again now, i guess that’s what you have to do if you want notifications though.
Not sure what anyone else thinks of all this?

recent apps closing them self

Hello,
I noticed the recent apps on my Note 9 will close them self if the running apps are over 5 overnight.
I have already changed every settings possible, disable battery optimization for apps that I don't want to close, locked them in recent apps. changed running background apps to standard limit.
yet it will still every morning I see my gmail, my skype are auto closed from recent apps.
I have already did full clean installation too with latest pie CDJ.
I don't have this problem with the S10+
check under Device care/Auto optimisation

Antivirus scanning non-updated apps

I am having a strange issue on my Galaxy S10e that I have never seen before. I have found that the antivirus app on my phone will, usually in the morning, perform a real-time scan on a few random Google Play apps on my phone that were not updated. I do not have an SD card , so nothing is remounting. I have auto update in the Play Store turned off. If I check these apps in the Play Store I find that they were not updated, also. Which antivirus I am using does not seem to matter, the same thing happens with both Sophos Intercept X and Avira. I currently have both of them on my phone and they will both report scanning the same apps. The same thing happened when I only had one of them installed. Why is this happening? Has anyone else ever seen this?
You don't really need an anti virus if you get the security patch updates. With that said, it seems like there might be a setting somewhere (either from within the app or phone settings) that needs to be adjusted so it scans your entire phone. Maybe the anti virus needs a certain permission you don't have set or needs updating. These are all my guesses.

Thanks for your reply. Both of the apps will scan my whole phone either manually or automatically if I set it, but my understanding is that scanning the whole phone is a waste of time if you have the real-time scanning turned on, which is what I'm using and referring to. Only apps that are added or updated should be scanned automatically, but I have random other apps that show at being scanned at various times.
