YouTube keeps crashing ... Sometimes retry makes the video playback going again, other times I have to wait a bit before I can use YT again. short of installing custom roms, anything I can do to fix this annoying issue?
Stock 5.1 with root and TWRP currently.

Delete the youtube.apk/dir in /system/app
Clear ART cache and then install normally the latest yt client from the playstore.
This worked for me, but no guarantee whatsoever.

After i flash Holics, everything works perfectly. But everytime SuperSU updates, it affects Google Play Services and causes Youtube not to run.
Attatched screenshots are after the SuperSU update. Any fix to this?
EDIT: Reflashing is the only method that works. I'm hoping for a solution that doesnt require a reflash.
EDIT: Problem is fixed, flashed Gapps after flashing the ROM.

Sorry to revive this old thread but what ggapps where you using im having the same issue and its driving me crazy
Oh, i've been offline for this long on XDA? Lol.
Just your standard G-Apps. I hope that you've already solved your problem given this long for me to reply.
I'm not using Holics anymore that's why i stopped visiting XDA for a while.
I've been having this issue for a bit now and finally fed up enough to seek help.
I attempt to uninstall an application from my Moto X (running 4.4.2) and it immediately crashes the phone. I've done a factory reset on the phone and after installing a test app and trying to uninstall it right after it does the same thing. So basically any app I install I'm stuck with unless I wipe the phone. I took a video of the process. It doesn't matter what application I try to uninstall as it does the same thing with all of them.
apparently I can't post links to my youtube video until I get 10 posts, I suppose I could send via PM if someone wants to see?
no idea how to even troubleshoot this.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. The phone is bone stock, never tried to mess with roms or anything if that's what you mean.

This may fix it. Go settings, about phone, tap on the build # a lot. This will enable dev options. Go back one & set runtimes to art, be sure you have at least 50% batt. It can take more then 10 min.

I made this change this morning. No luck, still crashing when I try to uninstall applications. These are normal applications I've downloaded from the play store, weird. Any other ideas?

No just Rsd.
I have Gummy ROM version M3.0-07-16-14-RELEASE-m7spr installed on my HTC One and I installed snapchat today, but usually about 10-15 seconds into the app, it'll cause my phone to reboot for some reason. I tested other apps and they work fine, so I think it's just snapchat causing this. Anyone else experience this or know a fix?

anytime you get an app that misbehaves like this the first step is go into settings/apps/all ..find the offending app and clear it's cache and data and see if it works .. next step is uninstall the app completely and reboot the phone and try installing it again.

Nope, uninstalling, reboot and reinstall didn't work. I heard of people having issues with their Nexus devices about this, and other phones apparently, but that was with 4.4.3, I'm 4.4.4. Not sure what's causing it.

I don't use it so i don't know
try clearing cache and data too, if that didnt log you out, then try to log out. reboot, if doesnt work then probably will have to wait for snap chat to update and see what happens

You shouldn't lose any data, but the first boot after you do this will take significantly longer. Just make sure your battery is at least 50-60% before doing this, and just be patient for that first boot, it probably will take a decent while.
I cleaned the cache and the promblem is finally over now
What recovery have you got ?
Hi folks. ill make it quick:
i have an issue with my note9 (960f) whenever i use a stock-based-rom. after the first boot there is no problem with root (magisk) or installing apps from the playstore. works as expected.
but after a while it takes up to an hour to install any app from the appstore (no issue installing apks or other stores). during this installation process the playstore stucks @ 1 or 99% and wont progress any further.
after a while the install is done, the playstore presents me all the apps that i can update. if i que several apps to install then they will be installed after the same amount of time spend waiting.
restarting phone, clearing cache of playstore and google play services does not help.
second problem is the root. after the first boot i can give any app root permission but after a while i get the error "su request rejected". everything i found on google does not help.
what i tried: clearing cache etc, reinstalling rom. unlocking bootloader (first time the playstore issue occurred on stock rom before unlocking and rooting), rooting, tried differend stock-based roms, uninstalling several samsung services like the galaxy store, different kernels, remount namespace. nothing helps
both issues do not occurre on aosp or similar roms, like lineage 16. no issue at all.
i hope anyone has an idea how to solve this.
(p.s. sry for my english)

disable 'google' in apps
update your magisk version to v18.2xx or v19
be sure magisk manager front end is also updated
Magisk is up to date (both)
Cleared data of Google and disabled it then and... Magic. It works
I love your mate!!! Can you explain me why? How can I keep the app and be not affected by the bug?
Thank you!!!

No my problem is solved. Both problems are.
