Lenovo Yoga Book stylus refill - Lenovo Yoga Book Accessories

I'm not aware that Lenovo sell a stylus refill for the Yoga Book pen, but if you damage or lose your stylus I have good news.
From my initial tests (at least in OneNote on Android), the Lamy IT Tip M70 refill works fine - even with pressure sensitivity.
I picked mine up from Amazon UK for £1.90.

I am not sure how you'd be able to find only the stylus refill but I'd suggest not losing it, as this is extremely valuable. Instead, however, I have found (from another post) a link from AliExpress that provides 100 ink refills for less than $10 - http://s.aliexpress.com/v6j2a6fa
Now, the only problems is how to make your own (or buy cheaper) paper for the pad.

Any fine tip stylus'?

I visited my local dollar store earlier and found a cheap stylus for 2 dollars. It works well but the only thing I don't like is the rounded tip. I'm looking for more of a shape of a pen with a pointy tip. Preferably really cheap for a dollar or so from ebay or any online retailer that ships to Canada. Any ideas?

Bumping for interest. I've had bad luck with rounded ones on my old TF101. I've love something with a fine point.
Well I found this:

Not sure how well it will work though. I don't really need 3 but its only 3 dollars so...

Hmm, how come there is a lack of fine point stylus'? Is it something to do with the screen and only rounded edges working or something?

It's not a real graphics tablet (the kind photoshop users have). Capacitive screens just aren't that accurate. You have the same issue w/ the ipad screen.
If you want something w/ the accuracy of the Galaxy Note, get the Note. It uses Wacom technology which actually is accurate...
how about jot? http://adonit.net/product/jot/ are you talking about this one?
Read my link. There is a limited resolution with capacitive devices...

Saw that, but meh the fragile disc and the price is a turn off. I guess I'll just stick with my cheapo stylus for the time being. It does my sort of writing well enough anyway.

Coming soon, a "finer" point stylus for cap. touch screens.
The problem is the screen tech. Because of the way they work, it requires a larger point of contact. They aren't real precise for writing or drawing. This is all cap screens including iDevices.
The Note and Flyer uses a combination of screen techs and pen tech. The pen has sensors that detects pressures and communicates to the device (I guess). That or there is there an additional screen layer that has pressure sensors.
Old school resistive screens are much more accurate.

For any size tip to work on a capacitive touch-screen it has to be compressed until the tip forms a circle on the screen's surface that measures approximately 4mm in diameter," designer Steve King
I have the Adjonit Pro and love it. Works great even with the screen protector and am getting better at Draw Something with it LOL
I've been on the search for a fine tipped stylus & haven't found anything that works consistently. I just use the cheap-o stylus from Amazon.

Revue of the Plai Estylo Stylus
Report on the Plai Estylo stylus -
If you're not familiar with it, see this: http://plai.tv/blog/estylo-11
and this video of how precisely the tip can be used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhKb32LWL28
I got the Estylo in this morning's mail. I like it a lot. Tested it with Autosketch Sketchbook Pro, Fresco Pro, and Lecture Notes. It produces slightly cleaner (slightly more legible) handwriting strokes than the Kuel H12 stylus. I also notice that it both glides more smoothly, but with a very firm feel (the tip material has almost no give to it in comparison with a rubber or silicone tip.) To be fair, you still can't use a tiny, tiny point to draw with - you have to angle the tip to get more of it in contact with the surface. BUT, you can easily see where you are drawing/writing.
Now if there was a clip on it, so I could keep in in my pocket without fear of losing it, it would be ideal. BTW, it's extremely light weight (4 grams.)
So, I am a long time Galaxy Note user. Someone who has become dependent on the S Pen. I have also become dependent on a removable battery...
I use my S Pen all day practically every day for work and I work in a low signal area. The Galaxy Note was definitely the phone for me until Samsung decided to pull the plug on removable batteries.
I have been very interested in LG's new G5 (hey, it has a removable battery!) but I am having a lot of trouble finding a fine point stylus, similar to the S Pen, that will work with the G5's capacitive screen.
Looking through XDA forums I have come across not only this thread but another...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/how-to-make-fine-stylus-t2933326
I have not yet tried this but have high hopes.
There is no SPen replacement. I have a Note 5. The Note Line has a special pen digitizer layer that allows the use of a fine stylus.
There are several fine point regular pens, but none really compare.
I've never used one of these but it's probably your best bet.

samsung galaxy tab III 7.0 - Rotating Leather Case Cover with some gadgets.

I bought this case today.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Samsung...10R-Rotating-Leather-Case-Cover-/300956602966
I will receive the item in octobre 2013. then i will post again about handling, quality etc.
Not Bad! with free shipping to europe this offer is very cheap
If I had to give the product points, I would give 10 5 out of 10. The bag is clean processed, and is for the "Tab 3 7.0" 100% pass compliant. The possibility of 360 degree rotation works perfectly. But as u see now on the pictures: The Quality of the cover is not so good, as it seemed at the beginning.
The included stylus is processed as clean and works in conjunction with the screen very well.
Only when setting up the screen protector, it will be a little difficult with the pen. The placement of the Protector leads to increased friction. This results in the "wipe" to unwanted entries. If you do not use the Protector, you have no problem with the pen.
It is worth mentioning that the screen protector is washable.
For this price there is no better product.
Edit 1 (3.10.2013)
The pen does not work on the Tab anymore. It seems as if the tip of the pin was rubbed by attaching the protector. Because the pin of my second Galaxy Tab 3 still works perfectly - in this tab I havent installed the screen protector.
Edit 2 (4.10.2013)
Yesterday I contacted the seller and he wrote back an hour later. They will send me a replacement for the "stylus" (pen).
Really easy to communicate with the seller.
Edit 3 (21.10.2013)
Today i received the stylus.
Edit 4 (21.10.2013)
Next bigger problem appears after 3 weeks. After 3 weeks of use, you can see the first material weaknesses of the cover. In the photos you can see the first cracks on the flip cover.
Here are the pictures
So you can build you own opinion.
I have to agree, I bought the same case and you can really see that it's cheap. Mine still works fine so I'm glad. I mainly use it as protection (feels better than to just throw the Tab in my bag without it...), it doesn't work well as a stand for me (keeps sliding down)...
I just ordered this item. Will provide feedback. ..

Lenovo Real Pen Ink Refils

Purchasing the ink refils directly from Lenovo seems rather expensive at 3 refils for EUR10. After some quick searching I came accross these: http://autopointinc.com/ministar-ink-refill.html which appear to be the same refils from the original manufacturer at 5 refils for $5 and a choice of colours.
EDIT: I'll add that I have purchased and tested them to ensure they do in fact work.

Thanks for letting us know! I read that you can use any refill with the pen, and the digitizer will work - I'm looking for rollerballs, and I'll report back if I find any.
Anyone found a cheaper compatible stylus
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
The Wacom Bamboo Spark uses the same tech AFAIK. Sol I would assume the stylus pen for that is compatible.

I bought a pack of 100 for less than $9 on AliExpress (http://s.aliexpress.com/v6j2a6fa) . Sadly, they only seem to have blue or black. The refill works perfectly. As with all things AliExpress, you'll have a bit of wait until they arrive. Shipping time was 2 weeks to Germany.
Apparently 67mm is a pretty standard multipen refill size (these are 68mm), and refills that look as if they might work can be found at http://www.cultpens.com/c/q/explore/product-type/refills/d1-multipen-refills and https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=node=1069832&field-keywords=d1
Edit-Yup, confirmed with a mini-pen I've got that uses a D1. We wanna look for D1 refills. Jet pens also has lots of options, including Gel. http://www.jetpens.com/search?q=d1
I've ordered some purple ones. http://www.jetpens.com/Monteverde-Soft-Roll-Ballpoint-Pen-Refill-D1-0.7-mm-Purple-Pack-of-4/pd/7802
Edited Edit-The D1 refill I have doesn't work when writing on the book pad. It picks up every gesture of the pen, not just what you actually write. OP, did you have this problem with your non-lenovo refills?
Not the OP, but my refills (exactly 67 mm) work when writing on the book pad. Could the extra mm be causing the issue?
I bought some standard D1 refills from Amazon and they worked fine with the pen and pad. A lot cheaper than the Lenovo refills and are also readily available from high street stores.
The Samsung Note 4 stylus also works with the digitiser pad, the button even works on compatible apps.

I've found the same problem. I ordered one of these Uni Jetstream cartridges, and it ceases to detect pen distance and pressure when you put one of these in. It acts the same as if there were no nib in it -- it will start tracking the pen and 'writing' even when you are off the paper.
I'm guessing the EMR system doesn't work with the conductivity of that specific refill, or something.
I'm on a quest to find a refill that writes better than the original nibs. Has anyone found any gel refills that work with the digitiser?
Firstly, apologies, I can't post URLs as I don't have enough posts.
I found this thread after trying some cheap refills off amazon - and like others, found they didn't work properly on the digitizer with the same problem of light lines appearing even when the stylus was not in contact with the digitizer.
I came to the conclusion that the metal composition of the refill was the problem - if you hold something metal (in my case a small nail) next to the tip of a stylus with a genuine refill, then it messes up the digitizer sensitivity. This would make sense as different metals will interact with electromagnetic fields differently and the EM of EMR stands for ElectroMagnetic.
Checking out refills for the Bamboo Spark pen mentioned previously I found them for sale at Misco dot uk.
The interesting line at the end is "The unique brass casing is essential to the use of Spark, as it helps the communication between the pen and the sensor board for optimal performance." which backs up my thinking.
I have found a supplier in Switzerland (Starminen dot ch) and have ordered some. I will update this thread when they arrive.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the refills I ordered are only €1.19 for 5 plus postage - came to €5 for 2 packs plus postage to the UK.

Thanks coredump I took the plunge and bough the pack of 100 in black as well for $8.86 from Ali Express including shipping to the UK. Arrived in about 15 days and they work perfectly with the Yoga Book transcriber.
A little bit inky compare to the Lenovo ones i.e. when writing a few sentences there may be a tiny bit of extra ink so need to be careful not to drag my hand through it and smudge it. However for the price I'm delighted. I figure all things being equal that those Pen refills should see me through a few happy years with the yoga book.

Sorry I'm so late in getting back to you. I hope you like the refills. As for paper, I ended up making my own in Inkscape and cutting them to size with a paper cutter. This might not be an option if you don't have a paper cutter at hand. I would be happy to provide you with the svg files or convert them to pdf if you want to give it a try.

Stylus advise for OP3:

Guys, has anyone used a 3rd party stylus on an android phone. Need to buy one for my OP3. Primary use is to mark edits on photos, write comments and hopefully to make simple designs.
I'd like it to be under $10. Or is that too low?
OP3 doesn't have hardware stylus support, so you'll have to use something that "simulates" finger - meaning big tip. Either a rubber ball point or a plastic plate. Rubber ones are cheaper (you gen get those for as low as 1$), but they're really not any better than your finger. Styluses with plastic tip are slightly better because the tip is translucent so you see exactly where you're pointing at. But they're also more expensive. I got myself a DAGI Stylus (forgot model name) a few years ago. Works with any and all touchscreens, costs about 20$ (actually there were 2 styluses in the box - normal pen sized and a tiny narrow one + some spare tips).
Keep in mind that it still won't be much more accurate than a finger, you simply need special hardware for that (like Galaxy Note series and some tablets have).

Have seen some people use this on an apple for sketching. Will be awesome even if it is that accurate

STYLUS: What stylus are you using?

Currently using a generic capacitive stylus and it does not work great. Mind sharing your stylus and share your thoughts?
To be honest if you really want a tablet with a stylus, you should have gone with either the SGTS4 or the SGTS6 as both of those have the S-Pen. Which is the best stylus for a device.

To be honest, this is not helpful to tell someone they should have gone with another tablet for stylus support. How does this help?
I have the Galaxy Tab S5e because it's cheaper. Many styli do work on most if not all tablets. The only thing that tablets that have official stylus support offer is pressure sensitivity and palm rejection. Two features which are only necessary for artists. For taking notes, I don't give a F about pressure sensitivity nor do I rest my palm on the screen/ paper when I write.
I'll be testing some styli and get back to OP.

It helps by telling you you are wasting you time looking for a stylus for the S5e. There are two types of stylus. A plain capacitive touchscreen stylus that won't draw a line any finer than you can with your finger, and an electronic one like the S-Pen that will draw a line like a ballpoint pen. But the electronic one won't work with the S5e, so don't bother looking for one. They require a second digitizer that is situated behind the LCD and the S5e doesn't have one. The cost of that second digitizer is why the S-Pen tablets are more expensive. The pens themselves are fairly cheap.
I have Adonit stylus Dash 3 Silver, it works pretty well. It has problem when you are trying draw really slowly, It makes some weird curved lines. But I am using Sketchbook by Autodesk and it has some line smoothing what really helps.
Hi there
Let's be a bit more positive
I use a meko stylus. They are double ended.
One end is the normal blunt sort of stylus, which is great for on screen typing, while the other has a clear disc which allows you to see exactly where the fine center is touching the screen.
The actual stylus looks like a high quality steel pen with rubber finger grip
I bought a set of two 'pens' with 6 spare tips from Amazon for around £10 over a year ago and have only used 2 of the spare tips
Excellent quality and value. Highly recomanded.

I will grant you that that type of stylus beats the kind you can buy for about 50 cents each. But it is still a capacitive stylus that won't produce the fine line of an electronic one. There are apps which attempt to produce a "fine line" by extrapolating what would be the center of the "fat" line, but the results leave a lot to be desired. Bottom line, if you are serious needing a good stylus for your device, you need to purchase a tablet that was made for one. It's easy to tell. If the tablet didn't come with a stylus, it wasn't made for one.
Seems I've been handing out mistaken advice about stylii for "touch only" tablets. S-Pen and other "Wacom" based stylii DO require a second digitzer to work and most tablets simply don't have them. HOWEVER, I puchased a BoxWave Active Sylus because it was touted to work with my HP Envy X360 laptop. Just to prove it wouldn't work with a "touch only" tablet, I tried it with both my SM-T510 and T720 tablets. Much to my surprise, it works with both of them. I've never used a stylus for drawing, so I can't guarantee it works as well as an S-Pen, but it does produce a "ballpoint pen" type line in the drawing apps I tried. Also, the line width doesn't appear to be "pressure sensitive". I was able to buy mine on eBay for about $20, new with free shipping.
