Hey
I bought a P9 few days ago and I found that it runs a security patch from July 2016. However when I check for updates on the updater l, no new updates could will be found. How can I know if my bootloader is unlocked?
Model : EVA - L19

its same for me.. no updates when using the built-in updater ( settings - updater ). HiCare used to show an option for downloading B360 firmware, but now even that is gone.
Same problem here, no update yet, EVA-L09C432B182?????
Is there any option to delete HiCare data or something like that to accelerate the update finding process?

Is it by using the Hauwei Updater 2.0? I checked for firmware on that and it listed eva-L19c636b170 as the latest.

Same question.
Sent from my EVA-L19 using Tapatalk
well im still on emui 4.1.1
I though that its region depended, but I was in Poland and Spain and still no update from hicare, updater setting or even PC Hisuit.
Im not in a mood for forced update(after all those years with moding, now i just want stable official ROM and i root device just to change DPI that is WAY to big in every device) so im still with eva-l09c432b182.

Which firmware i can use to update to nougat? And is this a problem for huawei otg farther updates?
C900 is the region that you end up on when a firmware update has failed, in my experience. You will need to follow the procedure given in the link below. I have tried this and it worked for me.

Hi guys,
I am holding a P9 Plus VIE-L29C20 (Singtel set), which is still on EMUI 4.1.3 (Android 6.0). I would like to update to the latest available OS, which I think is the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Can I use Firmware Finder to update to VIE-L29C636 which has the updates up to VIE-L29C636B390 (B391 not approved for installation)?
Will I brick the device?
Thank you in advance.
Hello, anyone??

You have first to Debrand on C636
That you can do with SRK Tool.https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/vdo-guide-how-to-debrand-huawei-phone-t3410045
This is for P9, but works on P9 plus

Thanks, I'll view the video and give it a try.
Will the P10 get EMUI 8.1 or Android P?
No one knows but the P10 didn't get Android 7.1, so I think Huawei wouldn't release 8.1 for P10. The P9 got EMUI8, too and, just chronological, the chances for Android P(eanutbutter?) for P10 are high.
But when Huawei won't add any new "killer" features, like third party API for Music, with Android Phone than this was my last Huawei.

Nonsense, please refer to forum threads before saying otherwise.
I've been on Oreo8.0 EMUI 8.0 for a few months now.

What he mean that we P10 dont receive 7.1 update. Only 7.0 and jump to 8.0.
So...will P10 receive 8.1 Oreo ?

No one knows - as I said. There wasn't 7.1 for P10 and this could be a hint that Huawei will not release 8.1 for P10, only 9.0. If you couldn't find anything on Google then there are no information about it.
