I'm very new with android and I should of checked the software update before unlocking bootloader but I was excited to get everything set up.
Can someone please give me a step by step direction on Installing the OTA update after unlocking the bootloader? I relocked it, and when trying to install the update, it still boots into "bootloader"

ok, then if you want to install OTAs you need to have the stock one... with the TWRP the OTAs won't be installed

After hours of searching I finally did an OTA update.
My CID is T-MOB101 and I was on ver 1.28.111.6 so this may not work for everybody but it may get you in the right direction.
Here's an collection of HTC M7 RUU, OTA, and Stock Nandroid Downloads. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860
The only one available for my phone was (M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID T-MOB101 / 1.28.111.6)
So I clicked that then on the download page there is a forum support page link in the bottom right with instructions on how to install. It's in german so you may have to translate. Translated.
Then follow steps 1-8, Reboot, sign in to google, and download your software update.
Hi ,
I have the HTC one from Tmobile .I am running the ARHD 31.0 with SuperCid, S-off , unlocked boot-loader, rooted .
I bought an unlock code and it didn't work . so i am wondering ;
1- Is this Rom related , or is the code bad?
2- do i need to go back to stock in order to unlock my sim ?
3- if i do have to go back to stock to unlock my sim , do i need to re-lock my phone ? can i keep costume recovery or do i need stock recovery ?
4- if i have to be stock, where can i find the stock rom for T-mobile USA.
Thanks

Try putting your original CID back.

Won't work with ARHD 31, you need to be as close to stock as possible.
These are basically the steps you need:
1- nandroid backup
2- (in case you changed it) set CID to what your original CID was
3- flash a close to stock ROM from Guru Reset (http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-rom-downloads/)
4- UNLOCK SIM
5- restore nandroid
No need to relock your bootloader.
Read through the following post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400149
PS: you may need to downgrade firmware too, but not sure about that. since you have S-Off it's very easy.
Ok thank you , let me try that . ill update you when i am done .
Ok all done and Sim unlocked , thank you very much for the help .
Just in case anyone stumbles on this thread , i didn't find the the RUU or Rom for the 2.XX firmware , and using the 1.2XX RUU would not work , you will loose touch screen so you will end up having to downgrade the firmware .i ended up using the stock dump Odexed version from Mikes post (ARHD) and it worked .
Thank you guys for the help .

You need to download recovery this same version as version android ( software) for example : version Android software 4.19.401.8 - recovery must be version 4.19.401.8 etc.

Thank you very much. One little question: is this available also for Android 4.4? Because at the begining of the tutorial it is written: Also will work on Android 4.2.2 and Android 4.3. But not Android 4.4..
Also..during the tutorial they said: "*Note – For Android 4.3 or 4.4, please use the file “UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip” instead of v1.30". So..it is or not for Android 4.4?

it works for KK 4.4.2 + Sense 5.5, as you can see that is my current settings and I have no problem with that. SuperSU is for root applications, if you read it carefully from beginning you will notice it.
if you having a problem my advise is create a new thread if you having a problem during rooting activity. for me the guide is very2 simple and also the guy is posting his video tutorial during rooting so if you missed it, you can re-play the video.

No there is no hardbrick . If you are not on the right bootloader and modem the rom may not boot , so you just flash the right ones.
If you want to came back to LP flash lollipop last booloader and modem and you are ready to go.
Basically , bootloader allows you to boot the rom , modem is everything related to signal , wifi...etc if you are in the wrong one you will not have signal or some things working

Yes, you can. First backup your android 6.0.1 from your recovery, in case something go wrong, you can go back.
Won't flashing/ downgrading the bootloader brick the phone ? How do you flash the LP bootloader and modem? Please can you give a step by step guide and where the correct files can be found? Thanks
