Ok I have a P9 EVA-L19C605 that's currently on MM B135. No matter what I do I cant seem to upgrade to nougat and what makes it more frustrating is that when I check the firmware finder application, I'm seeing nougat updates. Heck, i'm now even seeing B380. Whenever I try to use the firmware finder to send the update to the system updater, the update is a mere 1.4 gb or there about. I seems as if I'm not getting the region package in the update(and yes I chose download full package).
When the update completely downloads, it gets an error at verifying and then reboots( this also happens with the huawei updater/hisuite method). I really would appreciate any help, from anywhere or from anyone with the same phone model. Another thing i'd like to note, it seems that EVA-L19C605 is the Latin American model.

Hi all.
I'm a fairly new P9 owner with moderate android experience. I'm not totally up to speed with the Huawei build numbers. I'm currently on C440B138 and using the firmware finder I see B139 available for my device. This should I believe update the device to 4.1.1.
The phone is on UK network EE and is on contract (network locked) I would have thought that I would see the B139 update on the phones internal updater but I get no updates available.
What do you think the risks are if I just go ahead and update to B139 using the firmware tool? Am I likely to end up with a useless phone if I use that update. The plan would be to update to 139 and use the method on here to update to EMUI 5.
Or do I wait and hope that EE releases 139 and the EMUI 5 update at some point in the future?
Additional - Does anyone know if EMUI 5 includes the adoptive storage feature?
Many thanks
Any news
Hi i have the same problem too, i have downloadet the huawei update b139 on my phone . But when i extract it its no update upp inside..any news??
In the web i see other relases abou b380 with nougat..i try to update but i t fails.. ..pffff
Someone help me! Please!
Why I can't flash anything with dload method? I have tried lots of things: stock recovery, twrp, erecovery, proxy. But nothing. I tried to use firmware finder too for download an update fullota (of course, all the 3 ZIP package) and tried to put in dload the zips, the update.apps, but won't work. For dload I mean the three buttons method. It gives me always failed, at 5%, with the error "Software Install Failed". Please help me! I tried to toggle signature too to the firmware with huawei firmware extractor but not working. How I can flash firmware (especially firmware founded with firmware finder) using dload method? Please help me and my friends! Thank you to everyone!
These beta build found by firmware Finder might be not enable to be installed on your device. Use the latest check with EMEI to know if it fits.

I'm sorry didn't get the last part. Can you clarify it please ?
I'm on the same boat as the op. With the firmware finder I can only find PRA-LX1C33B130 but like op said, it stops at 5%. The firmware for my phone is PRA-LX1C33B120, but I can't find it anywhere. Right now my phone is bricked because I really can't find any version to install it.
Update firmware Finder, select the update you want and hit "check......" then it will now ask you for IMEI compatibility check
For me, Ive found more than 10 firmwares, I'm on B110 and there is up to b125... Nevertheless I can't install the proxy add-on, I can't use their "register with dns" feature, and I can't past the 5% threshold on dload flash. It seems to be not working at all for pra-lx1. I'm on stock B110 update (phone came with b100 and the B110 update was a legal ota without any mods).
Did you try to send a mail to huawei support team? Explain that you are a dev and you need to stock rom. They may send you a link share it please!

That option is on android right ? I can't use it, so I was trying with the windows version but it doesn't have any option for checking the firmware (or at least i'm not finding it). ~
Well after you said that there is a option to check the firmware the only one that I found (PRA-LX1C33B130) when I checked the firmware it said that It was not approved to install. I guess that is why it stops at 5% ? maybe ? hopefully the firmware status goes to approved somewhere in the neaaarr future.

I get software Install Failed at 5% using dload ALWAYS! Even with authorized/allowed firmware. I'm thinking that dload on Huawei p8 lite 2017 is not working at all.
Hi, I rolled back from Android nougat EVA-L09C02B346 if i recall correctly to MM because i wanted to see if my battery last longer (i thought it but the drain is near the same..) and to test performance. I used the double "update" method from huawei and now i'm stuck into EVA-L09C900 and i get no updates to go back into Nougat.. In Firmware Finder if i use the old code i had from my Huawei, (the L09C02) in the update B346 with the imei check i got a message saying that i can install that update but i don't want to take any innecesary risks.. I can use FF to update right into that version or i have to do something more difficult? thank you and sorry for my bad english
So, to get EMUI 8 I had to rebrand my device to L29C636, and it worked fine until B361 , the last two updates (364 and 365) it refuses to update, if I search with FF it tells me the firmware is not valid for C636, but if I try and check the same firmware with C432 (I believe it was 432, my memory is not great as it used to be) it says everything is cool and I can install it, but for that I need my device to be rebranded again.
I was searching for few hours today, and couldn't find anything useful the last version of HWOTA is a year old and does not support EMUI 8, I did managed to get up to date twrp but HWOTA I have doesn't detects its booted to twrp. Multi-Tool 8 does not support P10 L29.
Security is a great deal for me and a lot of the recent fixes apply for me and it's really getting frustrating that every single important update I need to break my head to install it.
Does anyone have up to date guide for this device? I think my next step will be to check how it handle a meeting with the wall at high velocity...really getting annoyed with this Android sh*t.

Maybe you should roll back to Nougat, rebrand and then update to Oreo...

the method posted doesn't work, it can't flash twrp and the process ends there.
I got myself a P20 Pro C636 currently at firmware 8.1.0.152 patch 01.
I'm a huge fan of the Mobile PUBG Game and if you've been playing the game you will realize that the new addition Sanhok map introduces "Rainbow artifacts" all over the map. It somehow ruins the gaming experience for me.
Last I check with firmware finder, Huawei actually releases a patch for that, called patc03 for the firmware version 8.1.0.152.
Does anyone know how I can update to this patch manually, without waiting for the OTA update from Huawei? It will be very slow in my place here.
My phone is currently bootloader unlocked. I tried checking HuruUpdater but it is only for FullOTA-MF firmware. Anyone care to share some information into this?
Thanks!
