I had to hard reset my phone with GDR3 firmware and then flash a stock GDR2 rom as apps weren't installing from marketplace. I then reinstalled GDR3. Before the hard reset and flashing, when I launched the games hub, I would see a list of the last three recent games played. That list has now vanished and I have no idea why. No more "recent games" wording.
Anyway to re-enable it perhaps through a ref edit?
Bizarre!!!
if app pulled from Store, you cant install it again...
you can check your history of installed apps here

No you misunderstood me. No games have vanished. The option to see the most recent games played has vanished. The words recent game etc. My recent games are no longer listed no matter what i play.
Hello together,
I searched through the whole forum but I did not find any thread regarding the problem I have found.
I own a Nokia Lumia 1520 (RM-937). It was flashed with WP8 version from APAC.
I updated it to WP 8.1 via developer preview app.
Language and region is set to german/germany.
I have a 32 GB SD card.
Now its working almost as expected and with known issues.
But one thing is very bad: This device has almost 2 GB of usable ram. But when I minimize an app via Windows Button (e.g. Internet Explorer; only one tab opened) it constantly reloads the whole page after only 30 seconds of being minimized.
The same for other apps like amazon kindle.
It feels like an android device with only 512 MB of ram.
It only costs seconds. But IE eats all my contingent given by my provider. I have LTE enabled and the page is loaded so fast, that I cannot stop it.
With WP8 the browser stayed in memory even for days without reloading the pages.
So I expect that behaviour from WP8.1 too.
Reboot helps only for couple of minutes.
Even with all other apps closed (hold back button and swipe down the app to the bottom) that behaviour is there.
Someone here with equivalent experiences? Any help?
You can test this: Open IE. Load a website. Minimize via Start Button.
Open other apps and use them for a couple of minutes.
Afterwards open IE and look if the page is beeing reloaded.
Is there any method known to look, if there is any app that blocks the memory? Like a task manager?
Maybe it's only an error that happened during the update!?

Windows phone 8.1 multitasking now is similar to windows 8 multitasking, that is, an app still runs in background for about 10 seconds after you leave the app.
The system also does a lot better at suspending apps and saving their state upon tombstone, so even if you leave the app and said app is automatically killed because you opened too many apps, the system will restore its original state when you open it again.
I do not have any issues with internet explorer running in background after i disabled all background communication for it from settings.

Hi,
thanks for your answer.
I know these new behaviour and read about the differences.
Whats strange now: I uninstalled the app "Battery", deleted temporary files, made a system backup to OneDrive, copied some files from phone to my PC, installed the Microsoft App "Diagnosis" to give a message to the developers and now this strange behaviour is away so far.
Ok, I have to consider again, that this version is only a "Developer Preview".
When I have news about this problem, I'll give a message in this thread.
Hi XDA,
I have a problem. After a random amount of time, my recent apps list is empty and it'll just show the text that says something like "this is where you recent apps appear" and the only way I can fix this is with a reboot and upon that reboot when I hit the button to show the recent apps, all the apps I had running before are there. This is a problem because it takes away functionality and after I have so many background apps running that I can't swipe away I have apps that will close randomly or restart such as Maps and Pandora. Pandora especially has just been quitting and Maps has some serious bugs that may just be app related and not related to a huge list of running background apps.
Anyone encounter this issue and/or know of a fix? Or will I be forced to do restarts whenver it starts showing me an empty list?

Hi, i think it's a lollipop bug, memory leak called. Search for more information. 5.>1 will fix this.
Hello,
I noticed the recent apps on my Note 9 will close them self if the running apps are over 5 overnight.
I have already changed every settings possible, disable battery optimization for apps that I don't want to close, locked them in recent apps. changed running background apps to standard limit.
yet it will still every morning I see my gmail, my skype are auto closed from recent apps.
I have already did full clean installation too with latest pie CDJ.
I don't have this problem with the S10+

Hello,
I've been debloating my samsung note 9 running android 10 and oneui 2.5 i have deleted a bunch of stuff and everything works fine however im experiencing a few issues and im guessing it has to do with something i have removed not knowing it was needed
I know i can do a factory reset but i have everything setup and running perfectly except these minor issues and wanted to see if anyone could help me pinpoint what services are missing that are causing the unusual behaviour
1.Google Chrome and Android System Webview show as needing updates in play store however they will not update when i try
2.Galaxy store opens but when i attempt to click my apps or update it loads a white page with a black bar then says 504 error timed out
3.Using Simple Gallery Pro application it requests i point it to the sd card location when i press ok to do that its meant to load the file manager window however i get file manage not responding then both apps close (when i open the file manager myself it opens fine)
Any suggestions on what may be causing these 3 issues would be appreciated
I guess it would be very hard to know like this. That's one of the reasons why you make back up but that is not important now since you don't have it. I had a similar problem you have been mentioning on the 1st and 2nd point and my problem was WebView.
Still having files not responding when trying to point simple gallery pro to sd card not sure if its app issue or if i have removed an essential service during debloat i feel like its a app issue because i can open the myfiles app and do everything without any issue other gallery apps work no problem ?
Other 2 issues #1 AND #2 have been resolved
