I had to hard reset my phone with GDR3 firmware and then flash a stock GDR2 rom as apps weren't installing from marketplace. I then reinstalled GDR3. Before the hard reset and flashing, when I launched the games hub, I would see a list of the last three recent games played. That list has now vanished and I have no idea why. No more "recent games" wording.
Anyway to re-enable it perhaps through a ref edit?
Bizarre!!!
if app pulled from Store, you cant install it again...
you can check your history of installed apps here

No you misunderstood me. No games have vanished. The option to see the most recent games played has vanished. The words recent game etc. My recent games are no longer listed no matter what i play.

In the last week, I've flashed my HD7 twice. The first time to install an updated O2 ROM, the second time to install an unbranded Euro ROM via Gold Card.
Something I've noticed both times after flashing the phone and setting up my accounts again, is that after a while, the app list contains apps I've previously installed and removed (Seesmic, Bubblegum, Flickr).
Does Zune back these up? If so why hasn't it got a more recent copy of my apps? Where are these zombie apps coming from?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Shadowise
Zune doesn't back these up. The phone automatically queues up applications that you have purchased and downloaded, and after a while (or after you sync with your desktop computer), downloads the application from the Marketplace. This includes ones you have uninstalled previously.
And what Zombie apps are you referring to? Did you download them before?
I do notice that sometimes it doesn't automatically download all the apps I use. At times, it just kinda randomly chooses a bunch of apps I've bought/downloaded and then just doesn't install the rest. Sometimes even trial games I've tried. So i'm not sure what makes our phones choose something over the other.
Seems like the feature is broke, the history of your purchased and trial apps are located under setting\account\purchase history\apps in the Zune software

When I said zombie, I just meant they were coming back from the dead
Hopefully Zune will get an upgrade in the future to take proper backups.
This is normal behaviour for all apps which you purchased using the Zune software on your PC, if you purchase your apps via the phone this won't happen.
so i got rio from the amazon store.
now that the update is out it never shows as needing it. i've done the refresh my apps option. tried a couple times and restarted the phone.
i dont know if this is device specific but id rather not lose all my stars in order to update.
ideas?
You have to uninstall old version in order to play new one. Try RIO backup to save all your stars
it doesnt backup the fruits i had every one of them in the first world.
thanks though this saves the stars at least
you can unlock all fruits with UnlockRIO11 ........
strangely enough it backed up my fruits too! awesome.
now i can actually transfer my scores to my tablet too.
does anyone know why rovio hasn't gave us online scores like on the iphone?

They came out in may...
I didnt have to uninstall the game, I just noticed it said it couldnt update to the card, so i looked in the apps and in the settings i noticed it was installed to the sd card, which i didnt do, it must do it that way automatically, i guess, so i just told it to move it to my phone and i updated again...and viola, it worked...
I had the same problem with my phone
here is the manipulation was done in order to update the game
1- Move the application on internal memory of device
2- Make free space on internal memory
3- Go to the Android Market to make the update
4- (optional) Move he application on SD memory
ok stupid question..but im thinking of buying tibu and beweather from the market.. when i purchase them..and updates continue to come out..can i update them always..or do i always to pay again when an update comes out..and if there are free updates..how does it work if i reflash a rom or something using cm7.. thanks
and while im here..one more question..im my rom experience will be complete.. lol i went to flash cm7 and when i did all the restore and stuff it should that i had 50 updates but then that went away in my market..and now my complaint is i know i have more than 100 apps and it doesnt show on my apps in my market..ive rebooted reflash all that..im using tibu 4.0.0 but when i browse for that app..it does say its installed..its just that if i got my apps some of them are not there..basically if i wanna see if theres an update i have to browse for it to see if it says update or just installed..but if recall..i think when i did an update it finally was seen in my apps in market correctly after the update..what gives please help..thanks..sorry for the two questions in one and the long ramble
I am sure you pay once and all the updates after are free. I haven't bought applications on android, but am just assuming it's like digital distribution in general.
... I can't really understand your second question/ ramble. If it's about your downloaded applications list disappearing when flashing a new rom, yeah, that happens. You could just use titanium backup to restore applications once you are done flashing the new rom. Sorry if I missed the meaning of your second question.
i have tibu pro and i get the updates on the same licence. it's one of few apps i've bought. you need to go to manage applications to the market , clear data and you will see your apps.

did you try to reinstall the market? after the flash... also were the apps all d/l'ed from the same market account originally? not trying to be a smartass just throwing a few more ideas out there...... back to stock???

Yeah, I think that's a common problem when restoring from TiBu...the market gets confused. Happened to me...it's an easy fix:
First, reboot the phone to make sure everything is closed. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Tap the All tab. Scroll down until you find Market. Tap Market to open it's application settings. Tap the "Clear Data" button. Reboot the phone. Your market should now show everything.
If you purchase an app from the market, updates are included in the original price (i.e., you won't have to pay again). Purchases are tied to your Google account, so even if you buy a new phone, when you log in with your Google ID, the apps you purchased will show up in the "My Apps" section of the Market. You'll have to reinstall them, but you won't have to pay again.
^ this.
Although you don't have to reboot first to clear market data just clearing it will do the trick.
ok so heres the story..i did what everyone ask me to do..somehow still didnt work..then i did the market doctor thats suppose to fix the market links didnt work..i uninstalled tibu..rebooted and now i shows all my apps with like half of them needing updates..i know theres some that need updates and some that dont..but i did it ne ways just to be sure..so basically i got all my apps back! yay..thanks guys..so wait one of you said that i dont have to pay again and as long as i have my google id i can still dl it even if i flash ANY rom on here..thanks again!
Paid apps are linked to the google account that purchased them. You could sign in to your account on a completely different device and download them. So yes flashing then away will not cause you to have to repurchase them.
Hi folks
Still loving my Note (XXLRT),really enjoying the new Flipboard, very useful as everything is all in one place, but I have some questions about apps:
- If i dont use an app like CharOn, SocialHub or Google+ and I do not update it from Play Store, will it still run in the background using resources without its update.
- Does anyone know if Samsung have included "Flipboard"and the Note 2 Sidebar in our Stock JB 412 update and does the Note still have UMS (USB Mass Storage) mode in 412, as I really dont like the errors that come with MTP.
Unless ive missed it.I read that LRT (Germany) had the side bar with it
Cheers

Yeah, if they have the ram then they will be cached in the ram. There is a way to get past this though (even in ICS), if you are not rooted you can still "disable" a lot of the apps that come with the phone, simply go to settings>application>all now when you select an app then you can sometimes disable it (or after removing it's updates). Disabled apps go to the bottom of the list.

You can get flipboard from google play anyway, but I thik it comes already iinstalled with it. As for the sidebar then the multiwindow is working and we will have it. UBS - I read somewhere that they have implemented it but I cannot find it on the latest leaks (don't really know where that option is).
Much appreciated, thanks for the quick reply. I knew you could disable some apps, but didnt realise that you had to remove the update too disable some.
Mass storage is found in Settings > More... > USB Settings, I just find with JRiver 17, now 18, Winamp even WMP.. when i was using it.. MTP just wouldnt work when Sync'ing.and playlist were empty, you cant beat UMS for ease of use, plus 99% of people these days all have WiFi for the cloud uploads.. so Why.
Sidebar is great news.. and Yeah.. I just got an update on Play for Flipboard, so that sortd that..
Thats all great news, thanks alot .
I have a recurring problem that apps stop updating. Deleting the Play Store memory and cache sorts it, but only for one or two apps then it stops again. Apps either just sit saying pending or download to XX% and then stop.
report it to Google
Clear system cache.
Clear data in related apps.
Delete, recreate Google Account.

I had this issue after the first beta. I had to go to apk mirror and install the latest update for the app that wouldn't update. Once I did that the next updates that showed in play store, updated correctly.
Edit* I believe this happened because I restored my Samsung backup including apps but I could be wrong. Either way that fixed it.
Unless you're having issues with the app I wouldn't worry about it. Updates can and do break apps. I use the factory load version still after 2 years on some of mine.
Some saved app versions go back 6 years and work fine!
Google's update crap is just that many times. Trying to scare you into constantly updating.
If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it bro...
You can also use ApkExport on another Android to make an installable copy then download it to the other device.
