does wipe bootloader unlock wipe all data on p8 lite ? - P8lite General

It's not clear for me.
Unlocking bootloader on a p8lite will erase automatically all data on the phone ?
Thanks and Regards.

Unlocking bootloader wipes nothing, it just unlocks the bootloader

But it seems that for security reasons boot loader starts data wipe on unlock.

It never wiped anything on my phone when unlocked it but if you want to be sure that it will not wipe your data just flash TWRP directly after unlocking bootloader and before reboot

restore data after unlocking bootloader

My question is when i unlock bootloader on my c6903 can i restore my data partition ? Beacause i have XZ dual recovery
Backup data first on your PC or sd-card before unlocking bootloader. But be aware that if you unlock bootloader you cant retrive data from PC-Companion.

Yup that should work. Do remember that you can only enable oem unlocking if you sign into a google account during the setup(afer unlocking bootloader).
Also if you encounter an 'Error 7' of some sort when you flash Gapps(rare), boot to the rom without flashing Gapps. Then after the bootup, reboot to twrp and wipe data again.
Then flash gapps, it should work now.

Relocking bootloader without wiping data

I've a K20 Pro china version and it's running the china firmware. The device was unlocked a couple years ago for the purpose of rooting it. I've just flash the latest China firmware with "Flash all except storage", so as to unroot and keep my data partition intact. Now, I'll like to re-lock the bootloader. I know I can use Mi-Flash to reflash the China firmware with "Clean all & Lock" option, but this will also wipe the data partition. Is it possible to just re-lock the bootloader without wiping data? Can I use the command "fastboot oem lock" to re-lock? Will this command leave my data partition intact, or will I brick my phone? Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, no. Relocking the bootloader would wipe your phone.
You can backup data or smth and restore after it.
Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. Well, I guess I will have to go through the whole backup & restore process.
