I have the web n walk plus package, when I log into Skype and try the echo / test I get intially a really good connection, then after about four seconds the whole thing just breaks up. Have T-Mobile crippled Skype on the MDA Vario III or crippled it across the T-Mobile network.
It's the only complaint I have about the whole package and phone!!!
I get the same on T-Mobile NL. Only once got a clear chat to UK for 5 mins.

I've got a similar issue and it says there's no proxy define. Do you guys receive similar message? i tried installing it again, once again it worked first time and after that it started giving the same error, any clue?
Not sure if this is relevant to you guys but certain countries (especially the one I am in, UAE, wont even work on DSL!) are blocking skype transport to keep their cell network charges working.
Check with your carrier to see if they allow Skype???
Thought you needed web 'n' walk max to use voip? Maybe thats why?

I agree: I tought Skype, MSN etc only worked on the WnW Max tarriff
got WnW E7.50 a month on Tmobile. Skype has never worked on it.as for MSN,its a doddle.it works very well on my handset (tytn & ameo). i can even record and send voice clips.
No i don't agree, legally it's not allowed to use your phone for voip,ip or modem on web n walk but you can use it, like now just yesterday my skype worked and and i talked on it without any problem.

Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the Android to Android calling feature of this app. I just moved to the caribbean recently and wanted to talk to my friends in the states. I got my GF to upgrade her phone to a Samsung Fascinate so I'm hoping this app will basically make it almost free for her to call me. BTW, its free incoming calls here in the Caribbean so as long as she can call my number I won't be charged. And it sucks because the island I'm in at the moment has very expensive and slow internet so I can't leave my internet on all the time so no VOIP.

I've been doing research on setting up my Google Voice number on my Captivate, and after months, I've had absolutely no luck. Everything I've found pertaining to the set up is severely outdated and does not work.
I was wondering if there are any Canadians out there TODAY, that have gotten Google Voice to work on their phone and using their Google number can make free calls within North America via their Android device?

Check out GrooVe IP app for android, I've used it a few times on my Samsung Captivate and works like a charm. Obviously you will have to get a US based number or an Alberta number (I believe that's the only place in Canada right now that supports google voice). The sounds is a bit digital, but a small price to pay for free long distance. You will need a google voice account obviously. Hopes this helps, I've been searching for suitable workarounds for years and finally someone came up with one.
I have the International Note 5 (SM-N920C) with the Carrier T-Mobile in the U.S, I have had this Device for Over a year now and it always worked flawless, ever since T-Mobile started implementing changes to there System my Calls go straight to voicemail when anyone try calling me, also, when i try making out going calls it takes close to a Minute before i even here the phone start ringing on my end, its weird cause this never happened, and it not my device either, i called T-Mobile and they couldn't help me, Hence, I went on Vacation to Myrtle Beach and toke my Note 5 with me to see if it worked out there (I live in Brooklyn NY) and yes, of Course it started working Flawless again, Im writing this Post in HOPES someone can help me, I have Tried Many Custom Roms and CSC zips to No Avail, Im hoping someone out there went through what Im going through and Found a FIX, thanks in advance, Bless to everyone.. I'm having the same issues you're having. I recently switched over to TMobile with a SM-N920C. It takes a while to dial out and some calls are going to voicemail without even ringing. I'm in Jersey City so maybe it's something they're trying out in more congested areas.
I haven't tried any custom ROMs or kernels but I was wondering if it had something to do with Voice over LTE not being supported by the phone out of the box. Have you tried any VoLTE capable ROMs/kernels?
Hey S.G, first off, i got a Kick out your User Name, on another Note, i tried Various Custom Roms and Custom Kernels that allow me to turn on and Off VOLTE, nothing Worked, Like i mentioned in my post, i went on Vaction to South Carolina and my device worked Flawless like it should be working now, I Called T-Mobile and they couldn't help me, all i could ask is for you to also call tmobile to let them now its an issue on there end with the international devices, Now if they get enough calls from different ppl they will have no choice but to fix the issue, Ill do the same... Thanks for reaching out though. This really sucks cause i love this device.

Got today's update BQJA AT&T Note 8. Update completed and my phone came back fine.
After an entire day, I realized that I'm not able to make or receive calls... I'm so frustrated.
Anyone else having this issue?
Please help.
It may not be the update. My family down south has been having problems all day on AT&T. Family and friends up here in the Ohio valley area have had same problems. I think AT&T is having large-scale network problems. Didn't they have some across California last week?
why wouldnt you just call ATT and ask them to fix it for you???
AT&T just released a press update an hour ago telling everyone to restart their phones to make calls now.
I didn't get an update but I was not able to make calls so I rebooted. But now I don't have VOLTE.
Issues with towers. I work for att and have had customers coming in all day with calling problems still not sure what exactly the problem was or is.
Thanks all... As that night progressed, I did find out that it was indeed AT&T network problems nationwide. I attempted several restarts. One finally took and my phone is acting normally now.
