Hey there,
I am finally ready to update my P9 to Android 7 (current build is EVA-L19C432B136).
The phone is rooted and custom recovery is installed. Sorry for the stupid question, but what is the correct order to continue?
Remove custom recovery, update via HiSuite or can I directly flash a rom?
Thanks in advance!
1. Unroot
2. Stock recovery
3. Upload mode back to stock b136
4. Wipe data , system and cache
5 . Setup phone( google ,etc)
6. Ota update ( probably b182 first )

Thank you for the instructions.
I am trying now for several hours, but something is wrong I guess.
What do you mean with point 3?
Flashing stock rom by uplaod mode from Sd card.

Hello,
i'm having a problem with this update. I had Magisk on the phone so before the update i removed it, flashed the boot from a backup made with TWRP and flashed the stock recovery got from here with fastboot. But when i try to update i'm having a problem: the phone get stuck with the script:"Your device is booting now...". What can i do? Also there is a specific way way to update with Magisk on? I tried to read the OTA update page of it but i couldn't really understand if i should use the A/B one,the Flashfire one or something else

I newer try update have From magisk becasu some file it's save in data. If you want update restore stock boot.img and then flash stock recovery. Now do it wipe I'm stock recovery and update again. But remember when you unlock frp you have locked on Android 7
For safety downgrade to b182 update all firmware to n391. I do it all time but first I backup my app using huawie backup

Thank you. I downgraded to b182 and updated all to b391.
Before trying again with Magisk i wanted to do a backup of stock boot and recovery, how can i do it without using TWRP?
Also to install magisk so that i can get OTA in the future how can i do it? Should i also install supersu PPH?

Seems that you can safely install TWRP over b391

AFAIK, for further OTA upgrades you need to keep TWRP nadroid backup and stock recovery, OTA would not work over custom recovery and rooted boot partition

Having same problem on Blu Life One X2 running Drax Rom (MM6.0)
Magisk Framework 14.0
Magisk Manager 5.4.0 (57)
Doesn't matter if I install through Magisk Manager or TWRP. Either way it says I have been successful, but nothing shows up in Manager under Modules. Just "No Modules Found".
Here is the error log. https://pastebin.com/ZHPunfj3
The sticking point would seem to be "sendfile failed with 2: No such file or directory", but I don't know what file or directory it is referring to.
Magisk SU works great
Downloads (available) show up
Just can't install any of them
Tried uninstalling via TWRP, but it didn't help.
Want to try uninstalling through Magisk, but not sure whether to use "Restore Stock Boot" or "Complete Uninstall"?
Hello
I have mi 9 with MIUi 11 (9.9.26 beta) android 10 and teamwin recovery 3.3.1-35
The problem I have is as below:
With 9.9.26 the system I think is encrypted and I can not have access to my files anymore via teamwin recovery
When I try to do the update to the next versions 9.9.27 and 9.10.10 via external storage because I don't have access to the internal storage (encrypted) the phone do continually reboot ...
I turn back to 9.9.26 version....
Any solution to my problems??
Thank you in advance
Try latest TWRP 3.3.1-42 Mauronofrio

I went to do the installation of XIaomi.eu, and after having done all the wipes I could not MOUNT the SYSTEM to be able to pass the ROM to the cell phone. Soon after I connected the phone to the computer and opened XiaomiTools V2, my twrp started to load a bar and the phone went into fastboot mode and it doesn’t come out, I tried to force the entry of twrp it just goes back to the fastboot screen, it would be like me help? I try to find the version of MIUI that was before entering TWRP, it was 11.0.7, but I can't find it for fastboot, just recovery, would I have a problem using 11.0.6? because this one I found in fastboot mode, I'm desperate because I use my cell phone to shuffle, please help me, my cellphone is a MI 9
Flash first 11.0.06 fastboot and after that 11.0.07 recovery. It will work.

Hi,
Did you manage to reinstall your Mi 9T ? I have the same problem... lock in fastboot and unable to launch TWRP to reinstall it...
Thanks a lot !
Hello
Installed twrp and after that, all of my folders changed to strange names such as _oeiuehbft and etc...
Wich part of twrp install was wrong? My phone is encrypted but is this related to my problem?
Please help... I want to install Pixel experience Rom
Thank you
Yes, your phone is encrypted. Use latest TWRP and format data (confirm with yes) to remove encryption. Don't forget to back-up, because with format you lose all data.
