Ok, make sure you enabled USB debugging first, and try again.

What?!
You can boot your phone, why the whole bother!!!!
You can reboot into download mode, using the advanced reboot menu, if you don't have it, you can activate it from developer options.
Also my recommendations are:
1-buy a USB jig to be able to boot into download mode anytime and in any case.
2-fix that button...I'm serious..fix it!

Here is the thing:
I was on JPY (rooted) and i flashed (voodoo lagfix) my phone sgs Kernel flasher (it worked before more than once). It restarted and then...nothing. It's stuck on that screen. I can't get in recovery mode nor download mode.
The phone is not even detected by the pc.
I already tried that trick which suggest to remove battery and reboot, but nothing.
Guys, Help, Please.
How about download mode? Can you access that?
Nope. I can't access download mode either.
Help? Please?

OK i've take a look and i'm quite sure it won't work either. Why? because i noticed that even the battery icon doesn't show up when i put it in charge i just get that ajax loading icon (which freeze) and then nothing.
isn't that rather an internal sd trouble? That's my guess please let me know what you think.
Well, at the current stage you have two choice. Try the homemade jig or bring it back to Samsung for a refurbished unit. Pick one.

I had i similor issue, and i tryed to connect via adb..
try to see if your phone is connected with fx: c:\androidsdk\tools\adb devices
if so then type c:\androidsdk\tools\adb reboot recovery
this all depends on where your androidsdk files are located on your computer.

I tried this. My phone is not detected. When you had this issue could you see the battery icon? Or when you plug in your phone in pc could you hear that small sound? cause in my case i don't.
No battery icon, but i heared the small sound..but i tryed severel times before the it rebootet in to recovery.
What about the 3 button solution, and then connect via odin..does it reconize your phone?

I tried that 3 buttons combinaison so many times i can't count. I think the bootloader doesn't even load properly. That fact that i don't have that sound is a frightening.

Great! I'm glad you've solved your problem
USB device not recognised error appears everytime, with every usb cable on every port. Phone is 100% working, comp 100% working, Windows 10. Am I have older version of Windows? What's the problem, it's so annoying I want to flash stock firmware and cannot do it due to this stupid bug.
Use another computer
Is there a way to enter download mode without a working home button? I stupidly flashed my recovery with a twrp app and now I'm stuck on the opening screen with the phone trying to enter a broken recovery. The home button broke so I can't enter download mode to flash a new recovery with PC Odin.
Thank you

Get a new charging cable and charge your phone again. It happened to me too. The charging cable that leeco provided is of poor quality. Many people are facing the same issue of their phone not turning on. All you need to do is buy a new cable and charge your phone using it. A new cable costs around Rs 200.

Why would you wanna go into download-mode?
No: your phone is NOT defective, only there's a new procedure to get your phone in download-mode:

I can get to it via recovery on my Note 9,I have no explanation as to why you're having issues.
Perhaps try the method given in post #2 of this thread.
New method now for Note 9 download mode. Power off, hold Bixby+Vol Down and connect USB cable to PC to trigger it.
Can't boot into download mode too....

Yip, this works...but tricky combo to hold down Bixby and Vol Down while plugging into USB power...I almost took my device in for fixing because I just could't for the life of me boot into Download mode after encountering the dreaded custom binary error on trying to boot up...
