Does higher DPI on phone screen affect battery usage ?

Hi , i'm running juwe rom on my galaxy i9000 , i've set it to its highest setting , everything looks great , i'm very happy with the way it looks , nice and sharp , lots of extra info on the screen with less need to scroll around

[Q] What's your scaling setting in SetCPU?

Hi, just wanted to know which scaling setting you Note users are using
I'm trying conservative right now, should be nice for battery life.
On demand + battery saving during screen off

[Q] app to show all galaxy tab temperature sensors?

Is there an app out there that can show the different temperature sensors all at the same time on the p1000 / p1c models ?
ie. cpu + battery + maybe ambient if it has one

[Q] CPU core deactivated, battery drain and other problems

Hello,
I recently bought this Samsung Galaxy SIII mini with NFC (so it's the N Version) and i am experiencing many problems.
I was excited to have it at the beginning cause i took it instead of a Mini Plus (GT-S5570I). But after a week i can definitely say that for my use, the mini plus's battery life was pretty more satisfying. Anyways, apart from the drain, which i'm trying to research about i have problems with the CPU management.
I'm using simply the OnDemand governor with Min at 200Mhz and Max at 1Ghz but as i can see from the System Tuner Pro app only one core (core 0) is currently working, going back and forth from 200 to 1000. The other core is completely deactivated. Some days ago i had the opposite problem, my cpu was always on at maximum and it heated a lot. This is a big problem because i can't control it and like this the phone is even worst than the mini plus.
I have tried many roms and mods, here's the list:
•Stock
•Stock Rooted
•Dmod V6
•BenzRom (actually on)
•Maclaw's last CM 10.1 Release (29th August)
•Maclaw's last AOKP Release (28th August)
•Going to try the Faust1.5
I have tried all of them (except Maclaw's) even with GoldenKernelv2 but nothing changed.
In Maclaw's releases i noticed a problem with the sim, in fact when i tried to import the contacts it said there was no SIM card, but RIL worked perfectly. I just need a rom that can give me really 18hrs of life with medum use (i use only whatsapp all the day, no gaming, no sms, hardly ever calls) because now i can reach 6/7 hrs....
Thank you in advance for the replies

[Q] Phone randomly shutting off

Hey guys,
I'm kinda new to xda so I hope I post in the right section and that my problem isnt very common.
Since I installed Android 4.2-4.3. ROMs I have got a very annoying problem. My Phone is shutting off randomly when it isnt on the recharger cable. I can look on the homescreen but once I start using apps e.g. whatsapp, facebook for like 1-2 Minutes the Phone shuts off. Moreover it maybe could be a battery problem because at the first restart the phones displays 0%-5% battery and when I restart it again with the recharger cable it displays like ~60%.
I tried wiping cache / dalvik cache too, aswell as I tried a "factory reset" in Recovery, which sets my Phone to some strange 4.1.2 Version of Android and I dont know why.
Some data:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001)
ROM: ParandoidAndroid 3.99 | Halo 2.0 (tested CM 10.2 and EHNDROIX III (13.8.6 I think) same problem)
Kernel: K^Kernel 3.4.62 v2.2 OC UV 360MB+ (tested Phenom Kernel v5.0, same problem)
Recovery: CWM & TWRP 2.6.0.0
CPU: 245mhz - 1402mhz (tested 1804mhz tough, same problem)
Voltages: I doesnt touched voltages at all (or the Kernel does?!)
I'm pretty annoyed by this problem and I hope you guys can help me.
One Point could be your high CPU-settings. Try with the stock 1000MHz as maximum
Thanks for your answer, but I have the Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001) and normal CPU speed is like 1,4ghz.

Hallo. I had a similar problem on my Gio. Try putting the battery out and in.
It sounds to me just like an old battery.
I think its the battery now too. I downclocked the CPU so the battery actually can hold the voltages and it seems to work. I will buy a new Battery next week and see if it is working then.
edit: Downclocking doesnt work, unfortunately I have to wait for the new battery to arrive.
