Tasker was recommended to me for my issue.
I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and a Gear S3 watch. What I'm trying to do is not use the watch for call audio when in my vehicle.
I want it to disconnect the watch Bluetooth when my phone connects to the uconnect in my truck.
Any ideas how to do this?
Thank you.
I'm not sure how uconnect works, or how to detect it (perhaps a plugin?), but all you have to do is turn off Bluetooth on connection and turn it back on when disconnected.

My HFBLU-STH3 Bluetooth stereo headset successfully pairs and then connects with my Note 3. When I turn the headset off, the Note 3 correctly continues to list it as a paired device. But when I turn the headset back on, it does not re-connect to the Note 3. If I click on the device in the Note 3's Bluetooth settings, it says Connecting for a few seconds but then gives up. The only way I can re-connect is to redo the pairing.
It only takes a few seconds longer to re-pair the headset, so it's not a major problem. But I'd like to solve it if possible. Any suggestions?
everything was all fun and well when i got the gear this past weekend. always connected to phone and everything. However today I got in my car, the phone connect to the bluetooth audio as usual, and I get an alert on the gear saying its been disconnected. I messed around with it and discovered that my note 3 can only connect to either the gear's call audio or the car's call audio, not both at the same time. (it can connect to the gear's call audio and the car's media audio though) The car connection takes priority every time. I figure I can live with that but when I get out of my car, the gear doesn't auto reconnect to my phone. I know auto-reconnect works because it does that with my car but how can I get the gear to do that as well?
thanks
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with Bluetooth on their S6 Edge.
I have tried two different Bluetooth receivers on my JBL onstage 400P speaker dock. The dock has an Apple 30-pin connector, and the receivers are designed specifically to add Bluetooth connectivity to these kind of docks.
Pairing the receivers with the Edge is no problem. However, the Edge does not remember the settings for the receivers. There's an option in the settings to turn "Media Audio" on or off. The Edge does not remember the last state of the receiver, so when I turn Bluetooth back on, I have to go into the settings and turn Media Audio back to the on position.
Is this a problem for anyone else? Am I doing something wrong?

I'm having nothing but problems with BT on my edge. Especially in my car it rarely autoconnects to my Audi MMI for telephony or the media system for music. When I try to connect to both it messes up the connection to the other or just drops it. Sometimes it just refuses to connect and the only way to resolve is to bounce BT on the phone 1-5 times and if that weren't enough it just randomly shudders or drops out for a minute here and there. I've pulled out my old S4 to verify that my BT devices are fine.
I'm having the same issue with mine. Already have a new one on order. I'm not confident that it is going to be any better with the new phone. I should have the new one later today.
Hey guys,
I have a s7 edge and it's got a particular annoyance of having poor bluetooth audio streaming quality when connected to any android wear device or wearable. I've found that the audio quality improves when you've disconnected all the devices and it's just the phone and the BT headphones connected. So right now, whenever I go to my desk or in my car, I disconnect the wear by going into the wear app and then connecting to my BT speakers. As you can imagine, this isn't the most convenient thing to do and I'd like there to be a seamless disconnect of the wear upon connection of whichever BT audio device I specify. I've set up a profile that can initiate a task when connecting to my BT headphones but I'm struggle to find how I can disconnect my smartwatch using a tasker task. Anyone have any ideas how to do this? And I would also make a profile that upon disconnect of my BT headphones to reconnect the smartwatch. The smartwatch is great for me when I'm out and about in meetings without the distraction of whipping out my phone, so something like this would be really helpful.
Thanks
I havent tried it, but I think the following should work. You will need Secure Settings though.
Create a Profile and select State, then BT Connected. Under name add your headphones.
For the task simply go to plugin and Secure Settings. Here add BT Connection(under Actions). Select your smartwatch and set it to disconnect.
For the exit task do the same but select Connect this time.
Let me know if you have questions.
Hope you get it to work.
Hello there, I hope you can help me.
For my phone to play music out of my car, it must be my phone that initiates the connection with my car. If it connects by itself it won't play music. I have to disconnect it and reconnect it manually and it plays fine.
Rather than do this everytime, I set up tasker to do it for me.
Profile: Bluetooth connected to my car.
Task
Turn off Bluetooth
Turn on Bluetooth
Connect to car
Stop
This up until recently worked perfectly. Instead now it just turns off Bluetooth but does not turn it back.
Can you advise what I am doing wrong pls?
Or what task/profile you think I should do?
Thanks.
After the task runs, check the run log for any hints.
Does it work if you run the task manually?
