i recently bricked my GT-S5570 galaxy mini via rom manager is it possible to unbrick it using a USB jig or any other method ?
How I did
I bricked my phone with a ROM and unbricked it with sammobile.com I have a samsung galaxy mini with gingerbread 2.3.4.
So here is how I did it.
1) I went to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3. (very useful site)
2) I chose smartphone -> android -> gt-s5570 -> europe (I chose the region I live in).
3) Now u should see a list with firmwares. In my case I downloaded the one for Romania as i live in Romania.
Note: You need to have an account on SamMobile to download the files.
4) After u downloaded the firmware go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=5 to download the flashprogram (I don't know the purpose and etc., I just followed the instructions on the site.)
5) Here u will have to chose again some things. smartphone -> android -> gt-s5570. download.
6) Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=6 and chose smartphone -> android -> gt-s5570 and download.
7) After u downloaded everything open the flashguide and follow the steps.
8) It should work.
REMEMBER, WHEN CHOOSING THE FIRMWARE, CHOOSE THE REGION AND THE COUNTRY YOU LIVE IN.
Hope it works. If not, pm me ur messenger, msn or whatever IM account u use and I will try to help you.
Maybe I get a thank if this works .
you cant to put your phone to download mode because Rom Manager bricked your phone's boot.
try usb jig but i am not sure if this will work (search on youtube).
i haved same problem and i solved it with jTag in service centre (on of my friends working there).
p.s. after this i hate rom manager.
rom manager is dangerous, dont ever use it

OK i am one of the people who bricked their phone while wiping ICS on CMW. I sent my phone back for repair, and today the status says 'delivery in progress' meaning it is being sent back to me. I know people who sent their samsung device for repair and the status says repair completed before showing 'delivery in progress', mine does not say it. Is there anyone one out there who bricked their phone through ICS wiping and got it repaired. I'm in the UK BTW.
Never mind, i called samsung support and they said it has been repaired. MODs pls close thread.
Dear Friends,
Hi im from Philippines. Theres a lot of Samsung Service Center here. I have Galaxy Note 4months old i already Bricked it stucks in factoryfs in Odin. I brought it to Service Center. They asked me what happen im so stupid i answer its stuck in factoryfs and i used odin. They told me your warranty is void because odin. Then they told me to solve we need to change your Motherboard. They gonna charge me for that.
I told them im going pull out my note. Im planning to brought it to other Service Center all of service centers here have different owners.
This is my question Guys...
1. If im going back to other service center then if they ask me what happen im going to tell them i don't know i just press restore factory settings then its stuck. Is this will work guys?
2. I already root it with 2 custom binaries. And my note is battery drained already. If they change my MotherBoard will they going to see the 2custom binaries? If they saw it im dead!
I cant open my note because battery drained already and it wont charge its just keeps on blinking pc and gadget saying firmware upgrade encountered issue. Please select recovery mode in kies.
Please help guys... please answer my question! My note is just 4 months old and it has warranty...
Thanks in advanced...

I'm having the same problem. It might have something to do with the eMMC bug. How long did they say you will wait till you get your note back?
Help!!!!
I bricked my phone with rom manager when i installed CWM over Rom manager i picked the wrong phone it was some huawei model my phone was ginger 2.3.4 galaxy mini stock rom
That's what happens when you don't know that rom manager bricks galaxy mini...

can you go into download mode
No way he can enter download mode when he flashed CWM for the wrong phone...
If you are aware you hard bricked your device, why are you calling for help? Hard bricks can only be repaired with JTAG, not something you can do at home.
time for a new phone... if it's hard bricked then just bin it and learn from you're mistake. remember research before you do anything with you're new phone.
If your phone is under warranty, go get it fixed in samsung service centre for free( Act innocent- say you set the alarm and your phone never started or rang in the morning)
If its not, say FML and use your phone as paper weight.
another victime of ROM MANAGERS ......lol
Never use ROM manager! Many people had brick with it!
Do you still have the guarantee? Go to SSC (Samsung Service Center).
Write a story and lied there. lol.
My friend do the similar thing with his Galaxy W, and got his part replaced by SSC. for free.
Damn!
OK guys im getting it to the ssc and ill tell you the results btw no download mode
LOL .

Have you revived your phone?
I bricked my phone by using rom manager.
I can't boot normally nor enter recovery.
I can enter download mode but after I flashed stock roms by odin, nothing happened.
Anyone can help?

Wow, I guess the guy who sold me his GT-S6500 must have done something like this, because the exact same things are happening to this phone. It's true: before using strange programs or downloading any firmware without being sure it will suit your phone model, you have to read all the appropriate guides, as other users just recommended before. Or just ask for help to someone with more experience. :fingers-crossed:
Now it's almost 3 days I'm trying to solve the problem with this poor Mini 2. I'm afraid the seller could have used that ROM Manager, and if it wasn't enough, he also destroyed the battery.
Remember that if the phone shows a boot loop with the samsung writings but it still can go into Download Mode (but not into Recovery), the phone isn't bricked yet. It's called "soft brick" but it's still recoverable.
If not, you have to buy a device called JTAG (expensive option) or build you own small "Jig" device (cheap option), following some guides you can find on Google. That will "resurrect" your phone. Good luck

As you said, my phone should be soft-bricked because it can still go into download mode.
But I can't revive it from flashing any stock rom via odin.
So it seems hard-bricked.
should not use rom manager if still using stock rom. especially in the rom manager menu choose reboot into recovery. do not do this you will galaxy mini hard brick. This is my experience. but if you still can get downloads in flash mode can be through odin. but if you can not get into download mode . take it to the samsung service centre
This is my experience

I have bricked my Samsung Galaxy ace plus (GT7500). I was flashing this custom Atomic ROM.

Then i restarted it.but it got stuck into samsung boot logo. I even can't go through my download mode or clockwordmod.
so, was not able to use ODIN.
First ODIN Failed in flashing my ROM. then i got pissed off and switched off my mobile.
After sometime when i tried to start it. it went dead. it is even not starting. It is not even getting charged.
I know it is now bricked. Please tell me how to unbrick it.

Sorry, any of us can help you in this. I guess you can still take your mobile to warranty, since it didn't passed a year yet.
Press the Thamks button if helped.
I did this several times. but didn't got any success.
How about using jig?? if i didnt get success will jig do any harm to my mobile.
or may be i should go to the samsung center and get it done by them.
Anyways thanks for the prompt reply.

if you don't know exactyl how to do use jig, I wouldn't do it, since you may loose your warranty again. I sent my bricked Galaxy Ace that didn't boot to Samsung, and they didn't notice I installed a custom rom in it, so maybe you should try.
I've found a thread like yours, maybe the solutions there will help you

Well i gave it to the samsung service center. They haven't repaired yet. but they told me that we are completely changing the motherboard which was totally damaged.
Can they find out now that i have rooted my ace plus, after changing the motherboard?? Hope they wont find it......
I am a bit worried about this.

Naa... They don't!!! Once the phone went off(bricked) no one would be able to find what happened before. But even if they enquire about it, behave as if U R a NOOB to all this. This's all what U need 2 do!!
Be cool & have patience!!
EDIT: Also, motherboard is not damaged in most(~all) cases. It can easily be cured by Riff Jtag box.
