Hello, I have a dead Xiaomi mi5 3/64GB apparently in mint conditions but dead.
It doesn't turn on at all
If I plug it into the charger nothin happen but it get warm abit in the middle of the screen
Sometimes (but not always ) when I plug into my Laptop running Windows 10 it's recognized as unknown device ( I don't have any qualcomm driver installed on my Windows 10 )
Do you thinks is there any opportunity to make it work again?
Here are some pictures
Install qualacomm drivers. Or try to put your phone to EDL mode and flash new software through MiFlash.

Can you check if any device shows up in Device Manager when plugging your phone to the computer? Like qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 or similar.
Huawei ascend p7 stuck in bootloop. Started to try to flash the phone, but when plugged into PC, the computer does not recognize the device at all. The problem is, when the phone has working ,my friend (it's about her phone) set the usb function to Charge only. So, is there any way to set the usb to actually transfer files, and lastly to escape the bootloop?
P.S. The phone suffered a fall onto a hard surface a day ago; then got the same problem, but the phone started working within a few hours.
This morning I was attending my online class, in the midway unfortunately my Honor 10 lite went black and the device turned off. I plugged in the charger but no led or no charging sign (The phone was 42% charge when it turned off)....I thought firmware might be gone I plugged into laptop but no any sign of device connection or port opening. Took it to the third party repair shop they dissembled the phone. Checked the charging port it was working fine. Checked the main board there was no shorting, according to him all the hardware was fine. He told that the board program is gone , Need to send it to huawei care to reprogram it , but when I took there , they asked me to change the Mother Board . What shall I do Now.
I tried the following things:
1) Tried to get into recovery mode and fastboot mode but didn't work.
2) 2 hrs of charge then kept pressing vol- + power for 1 min still no result.
3) Tried connecting it to pc but no response...No any sound ....felt like dead.
Please give me some hope.
Hello same problem can you help.
Ok , so a few weeks ago i dropped my phone twice. From the next day i was facing problem with charging and usb-otg was not working , One side of the Earphone only worked.
And somehow i f***ed my system up also the recovery. now its pretty much dead
Cant flash anything cause usb is not detected
Went to few service centres, they said they have changed the pcb board but no luck, it only charges, no usb connection.
So, wadda hek do i do now?
Any magical way to flash without usb connection?
(Converted mi-a2) Mi-6x
Since you convert it, you basically f* up, mi a2 android one is basically unbrickable. . . Sort of it uts still android one.
Try to charge your phone with a brick. If it starts charging it means it's not totally dead. You can either try to flash a recovery with a usb 2.0 port from your pc or update the pc adb fastboot drivers or flash in edm mode wich requires opening the phone e connect it to the pc while touching in 2 specific spots. If nothing of that works you usb board may be fried and you can always buy one from AliExpress for cheap. Good Luck
Yesterday evening I downloaded lineageOS on my device. I did not activate it in any way, the unextracted .zip file stayed untouched in internal memory.
Phone wasn't charging and it died at night. Plugged it in in the morning, unplugged when at 80% battery, and tried to turn it on.
Now when turned on, it immediately turns off after displaying my wallpaper and prompting to unlock SIM card. It switches off immediately, regardless of touch or button input.
When in recovery mode, phone is not recognized or at all seen by Windows and, by extension, Mi PC Suite.
All PC USB ports work fine with other peripherals. Phone was never rooted, the lineageOS .zip file is the only tinkering I've done so far. It worked well, until turned off and on.
