I have downloaded this file "S2_X526-OS-OP-IIXOSOP5801910121S-5.8.019S.zip" of about 1.8 GB. Can you please check and tell if this is right file?
And I can flash file as it is or I have to rename it like "Update.zip"?
Successfully reverted back to stock ROM.
Just one question, Should I relock bootloader or it won't affect anything?

I need to give my phone to the service center. If I return to stock, and relock the bootloader, will they be able to tell that I'd installed a custom ROM?

no they will not...they only need stock rom and recovery in device
Could someone who's gone back to stock clarify the instructions?
From what I've gathered we need place the stock ROM on the SD card,(but do we rename it first?) and then flash the stock recovery via fastboot, but I'm kind of lost on what happens next.

Hi,
I am using Xperia SP, C5302, with Android version: 4.3 and Firmware: 12.1.A.205. I want to install CyanogenMod 11 in my mobile.
Going though different tips and tricks, I was able to root my phone, as well as unlock the bootloader. However, I'm unable to install a custom recovery. It is advised everywhere not to proceed with installing any custom ROM without installing custom recovery.
Currently not able to install CWM recovery in my phone. Also when I tried to boot my phone into recovery, it is not working. Is it because there are no custom recovery installed?
If anyone can tell me how to install the custom recovery in my system, will be very helpful. I've tried installing ROM Manager from Play Store, but it is unable to recognize my device. Also Quick Boot app from Play Store is not able to boot into recovery mode. Also tried using Flashtool and fastboot, not working either. :crying:
Right now, I'm not able to proceed with installing CM11 ROM in my Xperia because I'm afraid I will not be able to boot into recovery mode and hence will not be able to complete the installation and ultimately end up with a bricked phone.
Any help will be greatly appreciated..!!
Regards,
~Ayan

I've allways thought that a locked bootloader would break your boot to a non-stock kernel. I think I read it from doomlord.
Now I wonder if it only blocks fastboot...
Recently I saw a post about CM10.2 working on locked devices... Now you're saying the same, maybe it started working lately somehow...
Though... Sure you saw that work?
I'm about to relock my device and take my chances, should get to it
Update: You may not want to test something for the first time... This one is tested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649923
It's a much longer way. To start with you must get root and CWM recovery on 4.1.2, only to get ROOT on 4.3.

I flashed my xperia sp ( same firmware ) to candy5 using the same method . But I did not flash Gapps in one go . After booting the new ROM everything works fine but I am unable to get into recovery now( remains stuck in sony logo) . I used Rashr , the CWM SP too which I used it when my phone was on stock ROM . Left without essential Gaaps . Please help .
you can do this
Download xperia recovery manager from play store
Here's a pre-rooted stock Lollipop for locked & Unlocked bootloaders (I've not tested on Unlocked Bootloader) with [Nut]'s Dual recovery.
Made on latest D6502 23.1.A.0.726 Indian version might work on other variations of Z2.
Install Instructions
1) Reboot in recovery and flash the zip
2) Flash The Zip: D6502 23.1.A.0.726 IN.zip
3) Reboot

as far as i know the procedure for installing lollipop is same as all roms before so it goes like that... 1.go to recovery 2.wipe(factory setings) 3. flash this rom and reboot. this rom contains STOCK FIRMWARE so no need to flash stripped ftf also it has ROOT and RECOVERY so there is no worries of loosing it.hope i helped u
Thank u cocagenda2 , but what about the kernel
Should i flash a lollipop kernel ? becouse i'm on kitkat now

If bootanimation appears, dont worry just wait for long time.try rebooting with battery replacement etc:both stock and androium takes a hell lot of time to boot for first time.or else you may try flashing CM roms or the nexus MM minimal ported by myself.the wont take much time to boot up :cheers

Both are same. A7000a is the model number and Lenovo A7000 Plus is official name of the Device.
I have tried two methods.
1st Method.
First I flash stock rom then I wipe data/cache/dalvik-cache.
2nd Method
I did same as above in this method but I wipe data/system/cache/dalvik-cache.
I have tried two method
1. Dowload only
2. Firware Upgrade
Third method format all didnt didnt work.
It shows some error.
A7000 and a7000plus are not the same.they got different architecture and kernel.a7000 got a 1.5ghz cpu whereas a7000plus got 1.5ghz,resembling to k3note.make sure you flash the proper firmware.choose firmware upgrade in spft.also i recomment flashing recovery only after first boot.if bootanimation appears it is likely to boot.

After I rooted my phone I decided to install a ROM in it. I Found MIUI 7 for the phone and with some instructions it told me to wipe the phone data, use custom recovery and install the .zip and it should be fine. but it went into a boot loop and never booted up. Then I went to download My-ROM v3.3 and still did not work. then I realised it needed the original EMUI to work.
So now I'm stuck here. its been 3 days and my phone still isn't working. my recovery is TWRP.
