Installed this app so I could get audible sounds when I get a text using Message+
It works great except for one thing. When I text arrives & it rings & I respond from the watch everything is fine. If a text arrives & it rings & I grab my phone & read or answer the text everything is fine.
The problem comes is if a text comes in and I don't want to respond right away & I swipe it off the watch screen, it sometimes keeps making the somewhat loud ringtone 3-4 more times after I have swiped the text away.
Does anybody know how to prevent this??
I don't have this issue. The only thing I changed was the "override watch volume" setting. Hope this helps some.

Hi. Long time iPhone user but new to Android as of two weeks ago. Bought the HTC One (AT&T) and am loving it so far.
However, I have been having issues concerning notifications through a couple apps. Specifically the MLB At Bat app and the CNN app. Let me start by saying that I have received notifications without issue when it comes to email, texts, and Facebook.
Now, with At Bat, I have notifications set up in the settings for the app (specifically for my favorite baseball team), and I technically do get notifications. What I mean by that is, if I happen to turn on my phone, I will see that a notification previously came in. However, I do not receive any audio or vibration feedback to accompany the notification. So, the phone doesn't actually alert me. The same case is true with the CNN app. In the settings for the app, I have set up to receive notifications for breaking news. Again, I technically get the notifications sent to my phone, so they will be there when I happen to check the phone for whatever reason. But when the notification is sent, I am not alerted in any way (no tone or vibration).
As I said before, I get notifications (accompanied with audio tone and vibration) without issue when it comes to emails, texts, and Facebook. I have scowered the system settings and the settings on the individual apps but everything appears to be in order. Thanks in advance for any help or direction you fine folks can provide.
edit: Also, I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, but nothing has changed.

i think that android apps are not AS GOOD AS IPHONE's.......
its more apps developers problem than HTCONE......
i think you gotta sell this one and buy iphone 17S....
PS. sorry i just had to write that......
I've noticed this a few times and haven't figured out a way to stop it - when I get a new email, a musical notification will begin playing and does NOT stop until I unlock the phone and dismiss the notification or open gmail.
I've already tried changing the notification sound within the gmail settings to "Silent" but that doesn't seem to fix. Never had this issue on my GS3 so I'm assuming it's a Motorola thing.
Anyone know what I'm talking about? Not sure how to explain it. I'm 95% sure it's related to getting gmail notifications, but I guess it could be a different app (I generally leave my phone on vibrate so it's only happened a few times when my notification sounds are on). It's a musical melody that doesn't seem to end, not a short notification like everything else is.
Not sure what's causing it but if my watch screen is off and I get a text, my watch won't alert me until I tap the screen. Everything is coming through just fine, only text messages are not. I'm using the stock LG messenger. Any ideas? I've tinkered with every possible setting between watch and phone.
I just got my Zenwatch 3 today. Everything is fine but using whatsapp is inconvenience... there is no dedicated app...
If I keep swiping in the home screen to right eventually I will reach a contact page, after selecting a person there is some options like make a call, send a sms, and "whatsapp". However the whatsapp action is not working, everytime I press that there is a loading circle appears for a few seconds, then saying unable to reach Google...
Receiving notification and replying a whatsapp message has no issue, but I just can't initiate whatsapp from the contact page... tried to start whatsapp in phone but not helping...
I tried to search for solution but seems no one has this issue.. can someone give some tips on this? Thanks.
I just checked it with my watch and can confirm the message. I can't remember if it worked when I first set up my ZenWatch. It's my first Wear Device and I just have it for three weeks, so I don't know if it should work in general.
When I choose that option on my watch it gives me speech recognition to write a message. I am not having any problems whatsoever. It just doesn't work too well if my phone is dozing.
The extra beeping is like a door opening sound at a corner store, two quadruple beeps of the same tone played at the same time as the tone I set. I can remove the one I set but not the beeps (unless i silence). It was working fine until I installed some work software to receive work e-mails securely. Can't see how that would mess things up, but even so I should be able to change the beeping tone somehow. I have gone through the settings in the message app (3 dot), notification tone option removes my tone not the beeps same as through settings the normal way. Thanks for the help.
I just got my phone, and I'm having the same issue...
I get the sms notification sound I had set, and I get the additional beeping (to me it sounds like a fire alarm).
I've tried other sms apps (Textra ans Signal) and it's the same issue with them as well.
Have you or anyone else a solution to this?
For anyone having the same issue, I fixed it with a factory reset, and I didn't import any old settings. When I first set up my phone I imported stuff from my google cloud sync, and that might have caused the issue. When I imported my previous settings, it also installed all my old apps, so one of those apps could have caused the issue as well. If I find the culprit of this bug, I will post a followup here for anyone who also might experience it.
i got my p20 pro yesterday and have it update but dont have this problem
I had this issue. I disabled private space and it was solved. It maybe had to do with the private space counterpart of the Messages app getting a duplicate notification for SMS. You could try disabling/silencing it if you don't want to disable private space completely. Hope this helps.
