Ever since I enabled developer options, every time I search the settings it only searches developer settings. OOS 4.1.4 with latest franco. Any help would be appreciated. Have a great day.

Google has done something in Android 4.2 that is good for some of their older users. They have hidden the Developer settings. For most of their older users, they don’t need these, and might turn them on by mistake and play with them if they are in plain sight. So Google has hidden them to keep that from happening.
When you go into settings, you’ll notice no Developer settings. So here’s how you get around that:
Tap Settings
Tap About Phone
Tap the Build number 7 times, yes 7 times.
Voila! You’ve got developer settings again.
So that’s that. But if we didn’t tell you, you may never have found it. You’ll also need this to unlock the bootloader and to root your device. We’ll be putting up some more Android 4.2 and Nexus stuff over the next few weeks so stay tuned.

This is smart
By all means, its a good idea; but does that mean there no easter egg in 4.2?! I like flicking jelly beans!!
Hello,
This isn't development. Also, this thread already exists in our General section
How to enable Developer Settings

"unknown source" option has been disabled and can't enable,do you have any tools to enable this?
I thought most of those options are based on the main user's settings so that if it is enabled for them, then all secondary users get it too.

My main user's setting has been 'on',but the second user's 'unknown source' is 'off' and been disabled.I tried but can't install other apps from browser.
thanks.
I have the same issue. The original Nexus 7, never rooted, got L OTA and my kid, who's the second user, can not longer install apps from Amazon App Store because the Unknown sources is greyed out on his account and can't be turned on. Turning it On and Off on my, main account, doesn't do anything to the secondary account - always grayed out.
So I've just gotten a P8 Lite with EMUI 4.0 and Android 6.0 installed as a replacement phone from the store for a couple of weeks probably.. And I just noticed that it doesn't have the "Privacy Protection" settings, so I can't add a guest user / second account on the same phone? Is this something that has to be activated or is there a workaround? It should be under Settings > Advanced Settings > Security > Privacy Protection but that last option just isn't there...
Is there any communication about WHY they took out this function? Googled a bit but didn't find anything useful, besides some other frustrated people but no real answers as to why it has disappeared or possibly how to work around?
Why? I don't know. It's Huawei!!
As for the solution, check this thread - chapter 10 (if you mmeet the prerequisites) ....
Fairly new Mi 9 user and quickly found the extra MIUI features and ads invasive so switching off most of those features via advice in forums.
However, I can't find any description for the Root option which is found in the Security app under "Security Scan Settings". It's under a sub-heading called "Multiple Items".
Could it be a toggle to scan various items and locations (the other toggle is "System updates"), but very confusing and not confident switching anything without knowing what it does.
This is MIUI 11, fully updated global version.

Am also looking for answer on this. Did you get any information yet?
Android 13 supports per app language settings, but I don't see this option in the latest Oxygen OS 13 update. Any suggestions?
I also noted the same issue, done a lot of research without answer
Hey, any news on this?
I am searching this option aswell. There is no option on the phone settings. no official information from oneplus / oxygenos aswell. Another point to be disappointed at..
some apps allow changing the language on the appointment settings, that's all I found
