Which bugs can be fixed via rooting for the OP3T - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

As it is obvious from the hundreds of posts for the OP3T issues the device's flaws appear to be similar like flipping the coin..
Connectivity issues (low WiFi speed, WiFi Bluetooth issues,
Data connectivity issues (Lte/4G/3G) )
Audio issues (low in call volume, unacceptable microphone performance, noise cancelling serious problems)
and several other problems which is still unclear if we are talking about hardware or software issues!
It would be interesting if all issues could be gathered in a single post along with potential fixes which might be possible when the device is rooted. Since it is difficult to track down the individual issues/ workarounds i would like to request to only post if an issue is somehow addressed only.
Thanks

That's really odd to me. I guess I've received a black sheep because I've never seen any of these issues. I've thrown this guy through a dozen roms and haven't seen any issues. Havw you tried sending the phone back to OnePlus?

WiFi on mine is weak but so is my router, so once I get a new one, it'll get a lot better.
Still, it's a lot weaker than it was on my old LG G2 or on my girlfriend's Samsung Galaxy S5.
There is one issue that I do have with the 3T, which is sound during games.
It's as if it's using some kind of a normalizer which changes the volume during gameplay, sometimes it turns up and then lowers back down again,
I don't think it's a problem with the games themselves, as it's a problem with more than one game.
It's not a 'critical bug' but it's the annoying kind.

Bionic, audio buzz - but not in phone

I saw mention of a buzzing sound in the Bionic in a different thread. However, the buzzing I get is not in the phone itself but due to the phone and proximity to computer speakers. Anybody else encounter this?
It's not really a problem as I can move the phone away from the speakers since the phone is not connected to them. I was thinking that these speakers are crappy so they're picking up interference. But then I noticed it happened on a different set of speakers. Same noise. Also this is my second Bionic. Verizon replaced the first one due to bad wifi hardware. Both of them do/did this. It seems that it happens temporarily when I lose or regain a 4G connection. Doesn't seem to happen at all in 3G.
This is a common occurrence with cheap speakers, and it's not just a Bionic problem. Or a Motorola one for that matter. It's pretty common with most cell phones.

[CM7.2 Stable] 5830D speaker phone problems

this is my first shot at running CM on any phone and it's been great so far. There were a couple hurdles I had to navigate due to my phone being a slightly different model that the majority of them (5830D via Koodo), but all in all it's working great.
The one stand out problem that's driving me nuts: If I put a call on speakerphone, they can hear themselves talk and report being able to hear all sorts of background noise with great ease. I tried searching here for people sharing similar problems but nothing came up. Google left me hanging too.
Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem or is it a bug with CM?

[Q] Bluetooth A2DP (music streaming) distortion

Hi Everyone,
I am having an issues with my new HTC One.
Recently i bought a pair of Jaybirds Bluebuds X wireless headphones and the sound quality from my HTC One is awful (tested on my PC and the sound quality is great using that).
I have done some research and it seems that the bluetooth stack is the issue. I'm not overly knowledgeable on android drivers and such but ive heard it has something to do with a low Bitpool number that is streaming the audio in a much lower quality than it should be.
Nexus users are having the same issues, however the fix they use (replacing some files with earlier Android versions) works for them but they arent compatible with the HTC One.
Anyone able to help me, i love this phone and i really dont want to sell my new headphones because of this
Thanks.

Did you try replacing those 2 files in /system/lib/hw? Worth a shot. Unfortunately, I don't think many people notice the lower bipool. Therefore, Google really doesn't care. Also, from what I understand just raising the bitpool can cause stuttering for some devices. Google figures more people will notice stuttering than clipping in high frequencies. It is annoying, it kept me off of 4.2 until a dev fixed it, and about to push me off of 4.3.

I tried replacing the files, but it just broke the Bluetooth decoding of music files.
Although, last night i flashed CM10.2 and it fixed the issue for me.
Their are one of two small clicks and pops when a track starts but other than that the quality is superb.
Also i am REALLY enjoying CM10.2. Dont get me wrong, i loved Trickdroid, but CM10.2 has alot of really nice options and tweaks.
TL;DR - Flash CM10.2 to fix this issue until HTC fixes it via official drivers.

Multiple audio issues over Bluetooth STILL! ?

Multiple audio issues over Bluetooth STILL! ?
Question
For a couple of weeks now I've had the annoyance of having tracks cut short whilst playing over Bluetooth whilst connected to a veriaty of devices. If I reorientate the phone it the allows me, after a few seconds to resume playing the track but invariably it stops again, and this continues to happen until I've repeated the process maybe 4 or 5 times ?
Added to this I often find when I connect to a personal speaker, the volume has been restricted with no way to overcooked the issue.
After a quick Google search I found a helpful chap had discovered a work around which entails going into Settings /General Management /Reset/Reset Network Settings, and performing a reset. This works but fails to cure the issue permanently. ?
What a disappointing state of affairs that something so fundamentally essential to a flagship smartphone should not have been prioritised as an issue!
Is there anyone out there with the knowledge to be able to resolve these issues once and for all?
Thanks for listening to my frustrated rant??

Question Calling issue with wired headphones?

Hey! So I have a really weird problem with this phone... Which i originally thought was a hardware problem, but I think I just confirmed that it's not. I will try to explain it:
Noteworthy Items:
1. Long phone calls
2. Wired headsets (I've tried at least 6 different earbuds)
3. This happened to me with the base MIUI, and a custom rom
I spend a good part of my phone time on phone calls, and from time to time, the person on the other line will tell me that they're not hearing audio from my earphone's mic anymore, but rather from the microphone on the phone (particularly like a speaker phone call). If I plug my earphones out and back in again, this fixes it. During this time, if I run my hand over the proximity sensor, my screen will go dark as if I was on call without headphones but all sound is still processing through my earbuds (I hear my caller fine). I installed a custom rom less than a week ago, and I'm still having the same issue so I thought it was hardware-related.
However, today I decided to do something different... I ended the call, and called back without touching any of the hardware (I didn't plug out my earphones or touch the connection in any way) and this fixed the audio issue. I did this three times already to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I'm very confused as to what could be causing this issue. Any ideas?
To confirm, I've used different earbuds but I've never tried to replicate this using wireless earphones (because I don't have any). The issue also happens more commonly if I'm moving too much (this is originally why I thought it was hardware related). If I keep still, or my phone doesn't move, I have this issue less frequently. If any other info is needed, I'm happy to provide, and happier for any help I receive. Thanks!
yea, I also have the same issue. I tried many solutions but still problem persist. has anyone got any solution?
Me too
