Hello good people,
yesterday i went to a local shop for oneplus 3t as in Bangladesh we don't have official store. The Model was A3010. I have heard before that it is a Chinese version. It makes me confused. So i dropped myself from purchasing and thought i must come here to take proper advice from you guys. can any one tell me the main differences in details? (what about LTE) and any other thing that you guys think i must know...please let me know. I will Buy today for sure.
3010 is indeed the Chinese. Here in India 3003 is being sold. Check the bands 3010 supports and the carriers in your country.

i have already checked in a website "willmyphonework com" and it says it will work on 3g as we do not have 4g yet. its kinda risky as in dont know that it will support 4g or not when it is available. but the problem is a3003 which is known as global version as far i know is very rare in my country. Confused right now. planned to buy today.

I'd suggest to you wait if you can. There must be some other operator that supports 4g in your country? You can check accordingly as having a powerful phone without 4g will be setback imo.

I clearly got your point and you are absolutely right. But as far as i know there is no possibility to introduce 4g within 1 or 2 years in my country.

Hi I was wondering if there is any app or code to check and if so what to look for to see if LTE/4G is available on my Note? I have no idea whether is a hardware or frequency thing, or both, or none, or software (as in firmware enabled???)
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
LTE is definitely a Hardware thing.
But without driver it's not very useful
Like i know, there are different Models of Galaxy Note,
in the official american Samsung website aboute the Note, there is standing, that it comes with LTE/4G in the German website there isn't any information about LTE inside.
Also there is standing, that it depends on the Country, wehere you've bought it.
Sorry for my bad Englisch,
Schnizel
Yeah ultimately i know its a hardware thing...but from there is it the frequency or does something need to be enabled? possible settings via carrier. So i guess first step is checking it has the hardware...buy how?
thanks for your reply

I believe the only gNotes to have LTE will be the ones with a slower CPU.
The ones announced for ATT will have LTE support.
I'm pretty sure all the ones currently on the market don't have LTE hardware.

Every single N7000 doesn't and will not have LTE.
You want LTE? Just get I717 or E160.
I really really want this beast as my first smartphone (Verizon), but I can't find where to officially buy it. I know its on eBay but I don't feel like trusting it since the phone is so new. Lg official site doesn't have it, and Google searching didn't help too much either so where did you all buy yours? I feel stupid for asking, so sorry if its a noob question..... thanks in advance!

I'm in the UK, but I imported mine from Germany via Amazon.de.
I'm not sure how it works importing to the US, and you'll obviously want to check it works on your network.

yeah, more like that! That would work, but I don't want to ship from Europe and yes I'm also looking into seeing if the 4x will work on verizon
Sent from my AOKP ICS Flyer using xda app-developers app
As far as I know, its only been released in North West Europe, and even that excludes the UK.
So you'll either have to wait, or get it imported from Europe. Pretty sure any US seller at the moment will have done the same.
The European 4X will never work on Verizon, completely different network standard. It would run just fine on AT&T however.
I got mine from Negri Electronics, it seems like a pretty good site

don't waste time on it, our EURO models do not support US 4G LTE, you need a different mobile for that.
as previously said, only AT&T will work for you, as they got UMTS/3G support
i guess this guy seen the US edition of 4X here

OK thanks for the quick answer, I figured as much I guess I may have to deal with dual core and wait a while then. Its a shame, I wanted something that would outclass the razr HD and other snapdragons, but I don't think quad core will be coming to Verizon for a long time

You might want to wait for the LG F180 then. It may come out in less than 2 months.
Sorry for the bump but...
As I live in the states and had my heart set on this phone I was just wondering if anybody knew of any carrier other than at&t who supported umts/3g as stated in the above post?
At&t just sucks as they are money hungry leeches. Anyways, I don't really know where to find this information and was hoping someone here would know.

Please note that although the price to performance ratio of this phone is excellent, the only things you can do with this phone is,
1. Upgrade to the latest V10f firmware.
2. Root the phone.
3. Install CWM Touch.
4. Install a Deodex-ed app and framework on the phone.
5. Install a Camera Mod which "fixes" poor lighting.
Things you cannot do due to the locked bootloader.
Install a custom kernel and rom, which is probably what everyone is pissed off over LG for.

Can this phone be SIM\ network unlocked? I have been duped by a guy on-line who sold me a sealed unit and now I find that it's network blocked\blacklisted here on one of the networks in Ireland I would like to unlock it to see if hopefully I can get it working on one of the other networks. Can this be die yet?

Yeah worth a try. Can't see them replacing the phone though. But if it's been someone on there network that's put in a claim on there insurance after selling it to you I'm sure they could check. Was it in a box with all accessories? Most stolen or lost phones come with no boxes or accessories.

It was brand new and sealed in the box mate so that is why I was not suspicious at all, unreal that they will just block unused phones like that!! If they won't help I'll get an unlock code or try get it unlocked on XDA somehow and then hope that it works on Vodafone or O2!?
Are you in Dublin yourself?

Pretty sure this is wrong. D5833 does Not have correct bands for LTE on AT&T or T-Mobile.
Right- it's the other way round- D5803 is US, South America. D5833 doesn't have the required US bands.

Well my device is from the UK.. Do they usually still work in the US then?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
you can check the bands in which the two models work on. and see if your country and carrier uses those bands. some countries can use either but some countries needs one specific model because of the freq bands used.
That varies by phone model and brand. Apple and Samsung can load quite a few bands in a single model. Sony tends to have fewer bands in a given model, though D5803 has quite a few by Sony standards. I believe D5803 is the model sold in the UK and that model does also work for US LTE.

I have a D5803 in the US using ATT. I get full coverage and all signals like my ATT branded phones. It should work just as good with T-mobile also.
So...back to my original post question...does this mean that the model being sold on the US Sony Store is the D5803?
Yes it's the D5803 according to Sony.

Hello all,
I live in Amman, Jordan, and I want to buy OP3T midnight black edition from oneplus website in USA, my question:
Will it work normally in Jordan? Its bands will work world widely?
Is there any problem if I used it outside USA?

It look that 4g LTE won't work you can check the attachment
You won't be able to connect to LTE in Jordan using a NA model, as all the cellular carriers only broadcast on band 3. For full compatibility, you'll have to get either the Euro/Asia or Chinese model.

As a rule of thumb, there is no such thing as a phone that works right on any network in the world. You always have to check the band support before buying: 3G and especially LTE.
So you're right to come on here and ask, before buying.
Only the phone will work up to 3G but you will not get 4G (LTE) working as the band used in Jordan is 3 and US model does not have that band.
Better buy it from OP's Hong Kong store or from some Chinese e-commerce website. There is a big chance you will get the A3010 model (Chinese model) if you buy it from those website.
