I am looking for a dump of the original recovery partition from an C6903. I accidentally used fastboot flash recovery instead of fastboot flash boot.
Is this partition included in FTF files? What problems could arise if flash mode does not work anymore?
Well, if I know how to back it up I would do it right now.
Maybe tell me how to do it?
As for now, try not to get the phone turned off.

Thank you for offering your help.
I did some research and now I guess flashing the recovery with fastboot overwrites the fotakernel section. So I flashed a fotakernel.sin file out of a
FTF file with fastboot. I hope my phone is now ok Maybe somebody familiar with the phones platform can confirm this?

AFAIK there is no recovery partition on Sony phones. This is what I've been lead to believe at least.

I'm not an experienced user of Flashtool, as I'm new to Sony phones. But I do know that, in my case, what did not work on one Windows 10 machine *did* work on another. I've read several instances of this being the case.
What version of Flashtool You are using??
Hi, excuseme a few days ago I unlock my z3+ dual bootloader and try to root it. But after reboot I see that the x-reality and supervivid mode lost! Also camera freez in video mode and dont record.
Now I want back to my previous status befor rooting my phone. I means factory mode when I bought phone.
What can I do?!!!
In these thread I understand some but I want to be sure.
I must download 32.2.A.0.253 ftf file and flash via flashtools. Then I flash your kernel. I downloaded v3 provided by you, is it true?!
Then boot into recovery and flash kernel again and then do factory reset and wipe dalvick cache and cache and reboot.
I dont want root any more.
Is this method that I mentioned restor my lost drm key? And this lost featured will back?
Please answer me. Thank you so much. Sorry for my bad english.
Note that Im on 32.2.A.5.11 frimware!

FIRST, IF YOU DID NOT BACKUP YOUR DRM KEYS(TA PARTITION BACKUP) , THEY ARE LOST FOREVER
You need root, to restore the emulated DRM, some rooted kernels already have drm fix in them.
i'll explain, since your bootloader is already unlocked.
1. Download and instal the latest 32.2.A.5.11 firmware via flashtool
2. boot in fastboot and flash the kernel in the link below(update 4), it has trwp drm fix, rootable, dm verity.
3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...rnel-ric-disable-twrp-root-dm-verity-t3417078
4. Enter TRWP (spam vol up when sony logo appears), flash latest SU ( https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/supersu/download/zip/SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815.zip )
5. You are all done, xreality works and most of the stuff linked to drm like bionz etc
Have fun~

question is, did you make a ta backup before unlocking your bootloader?
if the answer is no, do not ever try to restore the ta backup of another phone, DRMs are unique, your phone will be permanently bricked.
Yes I have backed up ta using this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/universal-dirtycow-based-ta-backup-t3514236
can u tell me how to restore??

in flashtool, go advance mode, then restore
p.s: am not responsible if anything goes wrong.
I was curious, is there anyway to flash the firmware and modem through fastboot instead of TWRP? I accidentally downloaded the OP3 firmware instead of OP3T and then flashed it and well you know how that goes. Thankfully this phone almost impossible to brick even when doing the worst. It shows up in the computer and my bootloader is unlocked, and i was wondering, instead of losing everything and following the unbrick guide if there are actually commands or ways to flash it through fastboot so i don't have to fully wipe the phone? I have TWRP backups that are from yesterday on the phone, so if there was a way to restore that at the very least if i did have to do the full flash then thats fine too. I guess if the unbrick tool didn't wipe out internal storage or something thats fine. Any help is appreciated.

If you're experienced, you can actually flash each individual partition image file back to each partition on your phone using fastboot flash file partition. So yes, if you know what you're doing you could just restore the firmware partitions and you should be back on track. However if you accidentally flash to the wrong partitions you could potentially brick your phone. ?

I'm perfectly comfortable flashing partitions. Done it many times with old HTC's and Nexus's. I just need to know what the actual names of the files are that i'd need to extract from the zips is the other thing.

Well, I've never really had to do this on the 3t. Last was on an old Huawei mediapad, but you can Google all the partition dumps in the latest full OTA zip, some are self explaining.
hey @M3drvr,
