Xposed has us bootlooping after @ace2nutzer applied the latest security patches in this 4.4.x ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-develop/kernel-ace2nutzer-kernel-20141027-t2920365/
To be clear:
20161122 = no bootloop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69747450&postcount=6415)
20161126 = bootloop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69808445&postcount=6456)
Will the v87 patch reach Xposed for Android 4.x or was support dropped? I'm asking because I can't find any official statement. TIA

this commit also breaks Xposed:
https://github.com/ace2nutzer/andro...mmit/d8130142f875f2d9b4853765ed50bee9cc0f7046
It's also a Security Patch, and i had reverted it:

in order to make Xposed working.

There are still lots of not so old devices with KitKat ROMs, and they should have latest security patches applied... But with one of the latest patches Xposed isn't compatible.
Is development for KitKat over then?
Could it be fixed anyhow?
JUST FOR FUN...no more no less...

Nice work. Please keep at it.
Axon 7 still not dead.
Thank you for this ROM.
It has auto call recording.
Phone, contact and messaging have white background in dark mode.
GPS is fast (4 s in taxland).
There in no need to install or modify something to revert the hardware keys (back is already on the right).
There is an additional number row on the keyboard.

THX for keeping the Axon 7 developement alive! :good:
However,I'm still on your Sl!m8b04,as I don't wanna loose the great audio......
So,my question, how do both your Pie ROMS handle the DAC?
I didn't touched my a7 over one year til now and just flashed this rom. I have to say it works absolutely great. Thanks for sharing !!!
Anyone knows a working Dolby magisk module for this rom ???
To the last couple of replies. Every custom ROM now always uses the premium DAC for headphones. No need to worry about that.
As for speaker audio and Atmos, I've tested many different stock roms, custom ROMs and mods including the stock Atmos on stock Oreo and Nougat and I found that the best sounding of all is the recent Dolby Digital plus magisk module.
You won't find it in the repo, but you will if you use Google.
I was a believer that better audio was a reason to stay on stock. Not any more.
Thanks for the rom and some issues/missing features I found
Thanks for the ROM! Works great and I'm not suffering battery drain that I used to get on the AEX rom. There are a few issues/missing features/stuff that I wish the rom had.
Missing:
- Smart Pixels
- Brightness lower/higher buttons
- Ability to change animation speed to values to between 0 and 0.5.
Bug?:
- HARDWARE Navigation buttons were switched to RECENTS - HOME - BACK instead of BACK - HOME - RECENTS. There is NO option to swap the hardware buttons. I fixed this by using the app "Button Mapper"

Are swipe up gestures broken? They usually are if it's the OnePlus style ones.

There are over the air updates now for crDroid? Great news!
Thx @raystef66 , time has come for me to move on from your ViperOS to this one of yours
great rom, feels really good so far
I have one issue though I tried switching back / recents using your Soft key reverse switch (twrp and magisk) because I actually would like to have back on the left side but it didn't work (although the twrp aroma installer offered it as second option?)
Is there another switch I have to set in the rom in order to switch softkeys? @raystef66
---
I read through your post and what the change needed to be made and ended up editing the kl file myself through adb. I had to do it in recovery mode though which felt weird, but worked in the end.

You need to mount vendor and system before flash
Maybe this is helpful for some people
I had troubles to enabling gesture typing in the AOSP keyboard without gapps installed. So I wrote a minimal Magisk script to install the necessary libraries. I have attached the module or you can download it here: https://github.com/cuehs/install_aosp_keyboard
Thats all, thanks.
Works great on A10 AOSP with MicroG. Was wondering why gestures didn't work. Thanks for sharing this.
Works like a charm on OOS 11 except for the Persian language (the original Gboards supports it but I couldn't find the necessary library from a phone with original ROM's gapps, any idea how to get it working is welcome). Thanks for the work.
anyone know what is the list of aosp kb gestures ???
Works nice with Android 10 (LineageOS with microG + Magisk)
If someone wondering about Android 9 than glide working but nothing happens (ArrowOS)
Confirmed working on GalaxyS9 with Lineage OS 18.1.
Thanks a lot for providing!
It's greyed out for me on magisk... I have root!
Moto E LTE + LineageOS Microg 17.1
EDIT
installed but doesn't work...
So I just switched over from a Moto G5 to this phone. The first thing I did was install LineageOS 19.1 (after playing with the stock rom a bit). I gotta be honest… I'm not loving Android 12. Are there any still active Android 11 builds left? Everything I've looked at here are either 12 or 13 now.
Back on the G5, there were some folks that were posting updated Lineage builds with back ported patches (even back to L14). How hard is it to do that? I admit I'm clueless at actually building the rom, but if it is something that can be learnt fairly easily, I'd be game to try

I might take a look at that module, but I've been avoiding anything xposed so far.
IMO A12 is just fuggly and that's the biggest reason I want to ditch it.
Ideally, I'd like to find a build of Lineage18.1 that has any/all security patches backported (or learn how to do it myself) Even better, find a way to get Oreo or Pie to work on the Pixel5
I hated A12 for a long time. Didn't really get on it til A13 was out.
Between quick settings customization and repainter for color customization it really helps.
I'm able to use the stock Pixel ROM happily with AOSP MODs. I think that the quick settings look really nice with the help of AOSP MODs.
I'd give it a solid chance before saying it isn't for you, and if it isn't I think the best A11 ROM is crdroid.
Could be others but Crdroid A11 ROM was my ROM of choice before upgrading.
P5 came with A10 IIRC, so you may be able to get that going but anything below that I'd be surprised.

I actually felt the same about android 12, just didn't fit my eye. So about 6 months ago, I installed the latest stock version of android 11. I was originally planning to root the P5, and install flar's kernel, but everything has run so well, I've not gone any further. I still may install twrp, and give elemental a try ... we'll see. My advice, go for it.
@andybones hey how did you get your QS tiles to be bigger, like in your screenshot, and labels underneath the icons? Is it the premium feature of repainter app? I really like that style and look.

I love this feature, it's actually a wonderful mod in AOSP MODs "Move tile icons to the top"

Hah funny story. I used Fox's Magisk Module Manager to download AOSP MOD but for some reason, the latest version in Fox app was v2.2, not v2.4. I was wondering why I didn't have that option until I realised that I was using the wrong version! Anyway, updated to the latest v2.4. and now I see that option. Thanks for your reply, otherwise I would've never realised it.
