I just ordered the AT&T S5 from Costco's website. Does anyone know which android version is the current batch shipped to us going to be?
I am asking this because I know that the current root exploit for At&T's S5 only works for 4.4.2 And I am worried if the S5 shipped these days are equipped with 4.4.4 then I'd be in trouble.

Oh great! thanks for the information! Also, I just wanted to make sure that the link which you provided me is for the S5 Active. I think I should be following this link instead right?

Hi Guys, I'm thinking about switching from my Nexus 4 to S6 Edge. I can get cheap S6 edge [email protected] version which is unlocked for all providers.
Does [email protected] version comes with any additional bloatware? Is possible to flash non ATT branded firmware instead? (Or put there e.g. some europpean ROM?). I just would like to make S6 as clean as possible without any [email protected] Thank you!
the att s6 edge is heavily bloated. Also the bootloader is locked, so you cannot flash any roms not specifically made for the ATT firmware.
If the kernel was updated past May 15th (i believe), you will not be able to root either, and you cannot downgrade from that.
The sprint s6 edge has very little bloateware. It has about 5 uneeded apps unless you dont use most of the google apps then its around 10-15.

G925A is bootloader locked so you will be unable to flash anything other than TouchWiz Roms for ATT.
That being said there's a couple very debloated Roms for the G925A. I love my S6 Edge it's a great device in my opinion.
I have a Galaxy note 3 that was originally on with ATT I bought used. It must be unlocked because I have it on with Straight Talk. That's the issue, straight talk has not pushed the lollipop update and I would like to know how I can get it with out waitng another year. My problem is this phone is still 4.4.2 KitKat w/baseband ver N900AucucMLG. It doesn't seem to match anything I read. Can this be upgraded to lollipop with the versions listed in the forum?
I recently purchased a factory unlocked T Mobile GS6. I intend to use it on Cricket. I don't expect to have any problems with that, but will I have problems flashing roms? Can I flash G920T roms?
Thanks in advance
Cricket uses the AT&T Network not T-Mobile

They overlap. An unlocked T-Mobile phone will work on cricket or ATT. I am not concerned about that. I am trying to find out, primarily, if I flash the MM rom for the 920T, will it 'lock' my phone?
I have a Verizon S6, Im on Tmobile. I keep getting problems with calls going to voice mAIL. cAN SOME ONE POST A LINK TO THE MOST recent firmware for the TMobile variant that I may be able to flash?
Also, is it possible to root this verizon s6 and run it on Tmobile with no problems?
Thanks in advance.

Pretty certain that if you flash TMobile firmware to a Verizon model you will end up with a brick. Available root for the Verizon Galaxy S6 depends on the build number but root shouldn't be required to run on TMobile if the device is unlocked. The forum is here:
