You should have installed this using custom Recovery.
Just flash this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/android-one-general/rom-stock-rom-t2993303
it should give you KK back that too with root.
see this is why I suggest people not to rush for lollipop, it's full of bugs at this moment. that's why it's not coming to Android One devices.

Dude... I've seen you on many posts telling people not to root or unlock bootloader... or not to flash stuff etc etc... Why would you come to xda if you dont want any of that? use your phone normally and wait for OTAs if you are so scared... yes flashing things like a moron will lead to soft bricks and bootloops. but those are basics of debugging any device... if one doesnt know how to recover from a soft brick then he/she shouldn't flash things to their device. Yes nowadays playing (and messing) with our devices is really easy, so noobs tend to make mistakes... I have too in the past. But if you stay scared then you dont belong on XDA

As for your problem, if you have root on 5.1 right now... go to playstore and download TWRP manager... (this is because TWRP is more stable, and supports all ROMs from 4.4.4 to 5.1, unlike philz touch or CWM) otherwise you can manually download the .img file and flash it via cmd prompt on PC. (If you dont know how to do that just let me know... I'll guide you through the process)
then download the flashable zip of your choice (I suggest official CyanogenMod11 ... I use it as my daily driver and confirm that it is stable with everything working)
Here is the link
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=sprout
additionally you need to download GAPPS from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
Copy the two downloaded files to your external sd card (remember the path)
then boot into recovery and flash (install) them... then reboot to system and voila!! you are back on 4.4.4 !!
PS. I advise against going back to stock 4.4.4 because there are some added precautions you must take, otherwise you risk losing your imei , and wont be able to make calls/sms/mobile internet. Switching to CM is much safer and easier... plus gauranteed official (and faster than google) updates thanks to our beloved dev Varun Chitre

Well yes.... Even when DEVs put huge warnings and disclaimers on their stuff, people just tend to ignore them. My post's intention was not to take a dig at you. I saw a couple of your posts on other threads, which I felt were a tad bit negative regarding modding our devices

Download the factory image of 4.4.4 and place it in ADB folder ( if u have not setup adb, search in Google ), now take a backup of your current os via recovery ( just in case ), next wipe cache partition, factory reset. Now connect to PC, flash the factory image through ADB. [emoji2]

Easiest way to downgrade is to flash cwm backup of kitkat stock rom via custom recovery. If you had made clockworkmod backup of your rom before upgrading then just restore it from recovery after wiping data, system, boot and cache partition, there is no need for pc and Sp flash tool. If you have no backup then try to look for it on xda,and flash, it works without any issue.

No. CyanogenMod is a different organisation altogether. They have those Jenkins(server) which builds for officially supported devices daily and uploads them (which will be downloaded later by the users as OTA)

Well... Google doesn't make cyanogenmod ... And official support for CM11 is dropped.... Use CM12, or the last CM11 NIGHTLY... Or choose an AOSP based Rom

Nope, this is only for Android One devices.
So.... 2 months ago I tried to flash CM 12.1 on my phone (S III mini). I looked in the tutorial and do the same things, but when i flashed CM 12.1 ( not Gapps ), it gives me an error. I was really scared and then I tried to reboot my device, but it said "No OS installed." So then I realised I deleted my OS. But I went to samsung service and they fixed my phone ( maybe they flashed original android). Please help me!!! I want to try to install second time CM on my phone, but i'm really scared. I dont know what it can cause that error and how to prevent that error in the future. ( i had root on my device)

Now I have cm 12.1 .zip and Gapps for Marshmallow on my PC.

What if I flashed Gapps for marshmallow along with cm 12.1 ?

The best is to install the cm12.1 gapps because maybe you will have an error if you install the M gapps..

Well, i think that this should be more appropriate on my thread which i explain also how to install gapps, but anyway.
At any given time, you can flash ONLY the same gapps with your rom's android version. I think this has something to do with ART.

It means that I have to choose appropriate Gapps based on the Android version of custom ROM.
If it's cm12.1 , I have to flash Gapps L 5.1.x.
Okay, anyway I have to update the App after installation. Then why not to flash the updated Gapps for any custom version?
I'm New to this world of custom, so only much confusions and questions.
Thanks

Is not a continuation of the another thread, I've build myself because I really liked the RR in victara. Dirty flash can do some unpredictable variables, but here I didn't notice any issues with it.
I've dirty flashed from other 5.6.7-20160409 build to this one, but I don't know if it can work always, so, if you want to try, here some tips:
- Complete Backup( including the /system)
- wipe cache/Dalwik
- Flash the ROM .Zip
- Flash the same GAPPS .Zip file.
Can sby can make Antutu Benchmark and/or Geekbench test ?
cant download.........reason-site is taking too long to load......

Has anyone had issues with Bluetooth on this particular rooted ROM and not being able to turn it on? I hit the slider and it greys out then just sits there, never turns on. Everything else is working but that one thing doesn't for me on this H811 of mine. Still doing some testing with other builds/ROMs and this is the only one so far that's had issues for me so I'm curious if anyone else is having or has had issues enabling Bluetooth.

Which build you using? The stock rooted or the debloated rooted?
The stock rooted 20v build featured in this thread (I can debloat stuff myself so I never bother with such customized builds).
Bluetooth just won't enable, at least for me, hence me asking if anyone else that's using this stock rooted 20v build is having the same or similar issues.

Yeah I was wondering if it was the stock or debloated because in the past debloated had a file or 2 extra removed that ended up with problems like this (I think it was hotspot that would not work).
In this case, you are on the stock version so the fact it don't work is odd. I ended up flashing this as well because I have been waiting on the new 20v (HUGE thanks to @MicroMod777 for this update even know I don't think you have this phone anymore?)
But yes, TLR, I also have same issue. I flashed the Imperium 7.0 kernel too, and it is still not working. Probably need a log, i'm not sure when I can get one if you can can you post from when you hit enable to when it goes back to disabled on its own?
No, it doesn't slide back, it'll just sit there. If I back out of the Bluetooth screen then go back into it it'll show it as Off but, as long as I sit there on that screen after sliding it to enable it the slider greys out and just sits there.
I'm not running that ROM anymore (running the actual pure stock 20v installed by KDZ/LGUP) and I've decided to stop tinkering with things for a few days, of course everything works perfectly on the true stock pure ROM so, we'll see what happens if I decide to do some more testing.
Hi,
I am newbie who want to reinstall Android on my HTC One M7, my actually version is 5.0.2. Why I want to do it? Because my phone can lagging and it don't have warranty anymore, I just want to make it working faster and looking better. This is what I want to install is Android 7.X (Nougat).
This is why I have a few questions to you:
1. What is a risk when I am doing reinstall of my OS? If I am using some image from web should I be aware of viruses?
2. If I install 6.X or 7.X android version on my M7, is it gonna work better or at least stable just like lolipop did?
3. The last, the most important question for me, how can I do it? I am not sure which tutorial could help me to make that reinstalation.
I would be really thankful for your time.
1. The only risk is that there will be some instability depending on the ROM that you use. This of course varies. Every ROM is virus fee, so don't worry about that!
2. Like I said above, Stability varies on the ROM and how often it gets updated and tackles on bugs. You'll get the main features (+ even more) on the Marshmallow or Lolipop ROM that you pick.
3. There's a lot of process that goes to it. You need an unlocked Bootloader, TWRP, and other things. I recommend starting off here:

Nope my M7 was S-ON. I guess the only way to get the S-OFF is paying $25 for the sunshine unlock

Hi mates,
My M7 is Android 4.4.3 ROM Viper One and finally i want going to Android 7.1.
My phone is S-Off, the TWRP is update, Bootloader unlocked and i want install a very simple and easy ROM, i saw this one:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/development/rom-resurrection-remix-n-v5-8-0-t3509485
What do you thing about "Resurrection Remix" vs "AICP 12.1"..?
What other things I have to take a look before install any ROM..? (i mean, go from OS 4.4.3 to OS 7.1, I miss something..?)
How I make a backup the actuall ROM just in case..?
Note: I never install any ROM, the actuall ROM was installed by a friend
Thank you for your comments

And use AICP. I heard it's really stable, will jump ship on that in some days. Basically Full Wipe, Flash ROM then OpenGapps 7.1.2 then you should be good. :good:

Finally.. I done..!
I install the ROM AICP - 12.1. - N 7.1.1 Official Nightly ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/development/rom-aicp-12-1-n-7-1-1-official-nightly-t3537595 ) .
My option one was "Resurrection Remix" but i got issues, fails and gone wrong, then move to install "AICP 12.1" and gone well.
Thanks to all for support me..!!
