No need to exactly part number as long as it has an output of 5 volts, 2 Amps.

Agreed, any old micro usb charger will do. I use whatever is to hand. Ranging from 0.7 - 2amp chargers.

Original nook cable - I want to buy one!

Hi guys,
I'm afraid my original micro usb cable is lost, so I can't charge my nook color.
Any one have a spare one that can sell me? I'll pay the shipping costs to Brazil too, of course.
Or can any one point me to a reputable ebay seller?
Thanks!

Some charger could, but be careful. When your Nook Color is on low battery (lower than 15% of battery), it will stuck at "Battery too low to power on" because that cable charges but slower than the original Nook cable.
I'm using this Nokia's cable with no problem:
Attachment
When my Nook Color says "Battery too low to power on", I just plug it into my laptop (connect via USB) and it will boot ok after 45 minutes.

Think this cable meets the USB type c specs as per Benson Leung?

http://us.macally.com/products/uc3ua3
We sell these at my store and I would assume because they're a well known and reputable brand it would meet the USB specs required so as to not damge what ever is being used to charge?
You can download this app to check the cable's USB Spec Compliance: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ericjohnson.currentmonitor. I used it on my 5X.

I'm a little confused by the information the app shows. What does it actually say if it is compliant?
Edit:
Just read the app description and says what to look for. ☺

No Worries! It's just good to get an easy tool for this. I had bought a Cable Matters and Aukey A-C Cable and both are not compliant.

PS - Macally cable is definitely within spec!!
How does it work? If i plug the original N5x charger it shows 3000 which means is not compliant???

No - that is fine. 3A is what the OEM charger should be giving type-C to type-C.
But you should never be getting 3A with a type-C to type-A cable. 2.4A should be the absolute max with 1.5A being a more standard type-A charging level.
ok..I understand. I have also an cable wich shows 3000 when is plugged to the charger. Does it means that I can not connect my N5x with this cable to the computer? Or if I will plug it into USB 3.0 is it gonna be fine?
Thank you

Sorry I was talking about the value 3000... "fusb301/*/fclientnow 3000, which says is not compliant to the USB specs...not aout Amp..And Im usind Qualcomm Quick charge...
From this charger I got at max 2500 mA but for a while after few minutes is this value lower...
and app says charging quickly and phone lock screen only charging so confusing...
The value 3000 means 3000 mA = 3 A.

Well clearly that is not even going to work on your phone since it's micro USB type B not USB type C.

Best USB - C Cable for Note 8?

Heyy guys. Can anyone suggest some good USB type C cables (3rd Party) which supports Fast Charging for our Note 8?
Do include those which comply with USB Type-C standards/ are compliant cables and are USB IF Certified.
Also please tell me how much maximum current does our Note 8 supports with Adaptive Fast Charge (QC 2.0).
You will not find anything that charges your phone faster compared to the cable and charger that comes with your phone.
I'm using a USB 3.1 Type C (Gen 2) cable together with the Anker PowerCore Speed 10000 QC which is a QC 3.0 charger and it doesn't charge any faster compared to the cable and charger that comes with phone. Both take about 1:30 to charge the phone from 20% to 100% while having the screen turned off.

By exact search term if u mean "USB Type C Gen 2 Cable" then I have already tried that but did not get any fruitful result. That's why I asked you to tell me about it.
I have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01L...ker+type+c&dpPl=1&dpID=511f-4aaDiL&ref=plSrch and its one of the best cables out there. You can tow your car also [emoji13]

Take look at this cable which is gen2 and USB IF certified USB Type-C to USB-A Male 3.1 Gen2 Cable - 3 Feet (0.9 Meters) - Black.
I have Trilink braided USB-C 3.1 cables, they work perfect and my phone charges the same as with the OEM cable that it comes with.

Supercharge requires 3 things:
Phone
Cable
Charger
and all of them must be compatible. In your situation, either the charger or the cable aren't supercharge compatible. Also cable, a normal USB-C is NOT enough to enable supercharge mode.

Original Charger vs Quick Charger 3.0

Original charger hits 1700mA while Quick Charger 3.0 hits 2300mA. Screenshots below. I'd like to know if anyone else has done a similar test so we can compare results. I bought a (supposedly) Quick Charger 3.0. The results are obviously better but I'm not sure if its supposed to be higher or not.
SD660 can even do Quick Charge 4, but for Mi A2 officially only in india.
https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-660-mobile-platform
Global version might need a patch.
This this means that we can use Quick Charger 3.0 or 4.0 without harming phone's battery?

Exactly! i really don't know how that works.. Does that mean that the original charger is somehow a quick charger?
Empirical evidence suggests that Oreo seems to show "charging rapidly" anytime amperage is above 1 amp or so, it has nothing to do with using a quick charger or the original brick supporting quick charge.

No guys. I found:
0 - 999 mA = charging slowly
1000 - 1499 mA = charging
>> 1500 = Charging rapidly
Not sure if MiA2 use the same parameter.
Nice, I was gonna say 1500 cause that was kind of what I remembered but wasn't totally sure. 1.5A is typically rapid enough to charge with relative speed even while the device is in use which is probably why that was picked. I agree that they should probably provide a reading above 2A to signify quick charging as "charging rapidly" is definitely confusing.
