it was stuck then i reboot it, got an error saying:
an error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software. i used that function but nothing happened, now it just stuck at this place.

Just turn it off and retry.

tried that already many times.

you are not trying hard enough. hurry up before the battery drains out or you are gonna have a really bad time
press power, vol - and home for 9 seconds. Nine. At the 10th second the phone WILL reboot, now you must enter recovery (power, vol + and home) to keep it off and after that you may try to get into download mode.

once the phone reboot, it would bring me back to the error page and wont let me get in to download mode.

Flash with repartition ticked and add pit file for firmware you are trying to flash

Where does the pit file go?

you have pit tab in odin, next to log and options

where can i find nougat pit file? only seen 5.1.1

is same pit for all android versions, make sure is for your csc

thank you guys for helping me out and replying back fast. i fixed the problem.

I had this problem.. You must have v3.10.6 and flash every file in the corresponding place, after that I still got a fail message but I tried un-checking the auto reboot option and that did the trick (this will make the phone stay in download mode even after you complete the flash, to quit download mode you must press the volume down button and the power button at the same time for about 10 seconds) hope that helps, let me know.

What do you mean with that? witch 4 files?
Hope you can help me.
After a factory swipe and installing vodafone wallet on my S6 it says that it doesn't work on a rooted Phone
You have to put each file in the corresponding place, when you download the stock rom after you've extracted the zip you're supposed to have a file called AP, BL, CSC, AND the other which I cannot remember, those are the files you're supposed to flash, if you try to flash just AP like on the screenshot it's not going to work.

I think you downloaded the wrong firmware for your phone, your phone is G920F and the firmware you are trying to flash is G925F.
@Neostatic17, it looks like you downloaded the wrong file. The file should be a tar.zip, not tar.md5. Once you download the correct tar.zip, extract the file and you will see 4 files within the one file you downloaded. Then flash all 4 files with odin.
Edit...Ok, I've checked my pc and the file is a tar.zip before you extract it and once it's extracted, there are 4 tar.md5 files. All you have to do is put the AP file in the AP slot, BL file in the BL slot and so on. I leave auto reboot checked, but that is up to you.

the device restart and boot into android man and a blue bar under him but does not complete to the end of screen and the device enter into bootloop.
Any help please
option I have tried and didn't work:
Flashed Param.tar after stock firmware flash.
Flashed kernel i8190xxamg4.tar then stock firmware
flashed custom rom "Novafusion 12/4/2016 version".
flashed wipe.tar before stock firmware flash.
the main problem happend when I tried to install recovery through "SkipSoft ToolKit" and didn't work, So I flashed the stock firmware and stuck in bootloop.
I don't know what is the responsible part of firmware that is causing the problem.
did I mention that touch buttons blink three times after the first samsung logo "what does that mean? :/ "
this is the 1st time happening with me and I don't know how a stock firmware does not boot!!
guys ..
Is there anyone understand what's happening here??
Im losing my mind here, ive tried almost everything i can think of. And would really appreciate any help on this

Attempting to flash stock firmware to unroot my Note 5 SM-N920T

I have a Note 5 SM-N920T and I had it rooted with Magisk. It was working great until I needed to remove the root. I tried to flash a stock firmware I found online and it failed giving me the error "sw rev. check fail. device 4 binary 2". I then forced my phone to reboot (power + vol down) and got back in download mode. I downloaded a newer version of the Note 5 firmware from Updato and flashed it. This time it passed in Odin but would never boot into android, instead, it would get stuck on the T-Mobile splash screen. Another weird thing I noticed is that the blue led will not shut off no matter what. Even when the phone is completely off and unplugged the led remains on. I need to get back to the original ROM/firmware but I can't do it. All help would be greatly appreciated as I have been unable to find anything so far after countless hours of scouring the internet. Until this issue is resolved I am without a phone so as mentioned above any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Rooting galexy S5 AT&T

is [this](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-root-roms-and-other-cool-stuff.3516196/) the most current method.
And I realize current is going to be old, as its an old device.
I have a G900A, I got an unlock code from AT&T and entered it. I don't have an active sim in the device (wifi only), and I'm trying to root, both kingroot/towelroot say something about make sure you have internet. Internet works fine I googled random things to verify.
Trying the guide above I can't get passed the first step of flashing the tar.md5 with the error below, anyone have any advice or guidance?

For anyone that finds themselves here, I solved my issue, by booting to recovery mode (vol up + home + power), then selecting to go to bootloader, it was the same screen as vol down, but it worked from that screen .
