By doing the root, I do not know how can it be, the camera app has disappeared.
Is there apk?
If not, other possible solutions?
Thank you all

Here's mine. Extract the zip and put the HwCamera2 directory to /system/priv-app. Then reboot. The camera should be back.
I don't know how the app can disappear.
And I also don't know, if the app is working for you because I'm on VTR-L29C432B162

The camera app prior to the release of EMUI 9 didn't work very well at all on custom ROMs - it's something I've fought with for months; it's pretty much that it's too dependent on EMUI. Doesn't really matter which version of the EMUI 8 camera, or which ROM you're running - it's just frequently broken for most things besides basic picture taking.
The one shipped with EMUI 9 seems to work with minimal issues on AOSP, when used with an EMUI 9 based vendor image. (Yes, I'm aware that there currently aren't any released ROMs for P10 on an EMUI 9 base yet - I'm personally working on OmniROM 9, and I know there will be an official build of RR before too long as well, mostly just dealing with minor hardware differences at this point, I think, since the image is built to support multiple devices.)

I'm a new 3T owner who got my phone just a few days ago (came from a Nexus 6P). I decided to load the FreedomOS rom initially because I was curious about OOS. Overall, I'm fairly content, but a few of my apps haven't worked correctly (e.g. Accubattery and Xfinity WiFi). I was curious about Resurrection Remix which, I believe, is based on Lineage.
I'm a bit apprehensive about loading a Lineage-based ROM primarily because I think I read something about Lineage not supporting some of the 3t's features (fast charging?). But after searching I can't find the thread I thought I read those warnings....so maybe I imagined it? Can anybody provide any clarity on if that's even an issue?
I'd also like some feedback from folks who have run the official RR Rom. Any downsides? Any benefits over FreedomOS? And the same question to FreedomOS users who have used RR...any feedback on why you prefer FOS over RR?
i'm on freedom rom right now wiht xceed kernel, loving it, i woudn't do AOSP or LOS based roms because you'll loose the camera functionality and manual mode

Do all Lineage-based ROMs (for the 3t) not have camera? What do you mean by "manual mode?"

They have, but no other ROM will have the same quality than OOS-based ROMs.
You can try this ported stock camera if you are using LineageOS: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/port-oxygenos-stock-camera-cm-t3451721
Remember to flash "HAL1 Enabler for LOS(and based on it): LineageOS" also from the same page.
Not sure which things are working and which aren't, some says that 1080p 60fps videos are not, but atleast I was able to take the video with that ported camera app, not sure was the outcome really 60fps.
Can't test any more of it for now, went back to H2OS 7.1.1 beta

yeah basicaly non OOS roms won't have the same camera quality in terms of processing and features.
Camera blobs are out and there are some ports but non function similarly to how the camera functions on OOS

What do you like about H2OS? Is it difficult to get gapps working properly? How about other launchers? Any issues for an English-speaker US-based user?

I dirty flashed it over OOS 4.03, everything seems to work fine, since Google apps were already there. I'm using Nova Launcher myself, can't spot any difference except language, since I was using finnish before, but there is english of course to choose.
Remember to take backup with TWRP if possible before flashing it easier to go back if you don't like it or something goes bad.
Edit.. seems that OOS 7.1.1 open beta 3 is here! http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_openbeta_3/
Well, if you really want 7.1.1 for OOS, you can just flash their Beta released today.
I'd say you should go for FreedomOS for now. All of the LineageOS and AOSP based roms have a buggy camera due to the buggy Camera HAL3. Only the ROMs based on OOS have a fully functional camera. You can also try out the OOS Open Beta 3 released earlier today, its based on 7.1.1

In fact, Hydrogen OS has gapps, just disabled. Install play store directly should be okay.

Yeah, I think I'll probably stay put on FreedomOS unless I discover another OOS-based ROM with a dedicated dev. Resurrection Remix looks nice, but a buggy camera would be unacceptable for me.
I really appreciate all the feedback/advice. I'm not a newb, but am new to this handset so I really appreciate all the info you've shared.

It's not my daily driver right now, but I've flashed it earlier, so I would say it's really good
Performance is smooth and fast, any bugs (so far), camera is fine, nearly compared to OxygenOS
I like a big amount of customizations the most ^^
I've just taken stock of my new MI8 128gb in white and love it after 24hours.
The question is should I update to MIUI 10 and Android Pie or just Pie - I heard some things are not so good with Miui 10 namely GPS which is important to me.
Before I update what are your thoughts as i'm already thrilled with the speed and look, also is there some really good camera app should get or other useful apps?
I have Spotify, netflix, whatsapp, FB + messenger, Samsung health + Galaxy wearables ( to go with my galaxy watch).
Thanks for any tips on next things to do to improve this phone
Pro: The MIUI camera really isn't very good with old versions. And you won't be able to use Google Camera Port(which is vastly superior) on those old MIUI versions.
Con: Most people report worse battery life with newer MIUI Android Pie versions
Flashed havoc Rom and never looked back. If you are okay with unlocking bootloader and doing a little flashing, Havoc is a far far far superior rom to miui, with great Google camera.
Havoc-OS is very good ROM, but it is not superior then MIUI. I have been used Havoc and liked very much, but i am back to MIUI XEU ROM, and it is better then Havoc. Also you can install GCam on miui without root. This AOSP PIE are good but all they have something missing. I recommend you to install XEU ROM
Yeah no Glonass or dual gps support on havoc os
gcam

Yes here is link for XEU ROMs https://xiaomi.eu/community/forums/miui-rom-releases.103/
but to install this ROM you have also to unlock Bootloader and install TWRP recovery
for GCam https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/themes/mi-8-google-camera-mod-t3803984

Hi, I'm not very tech savvy but I thought one person reported you can get gcam without rooting.... is not your suggestion of unlocking bootloader and install TWRP recovery - rooting? I assumed there was just some apk we could download and install.
I dont understand what you mean about rooting? twrp?
this thema is name "Android Pie and Miui 10", i understand that you dont know what to use, AOSP Android Pie, or Miui Pie? i hope i am right. If you want to use AOSP Android Pie, you need twrp, and unlock bootloader. And if you unlock bootloader and install twrp then it is better to install XEU ROM then AOSP Android Pie. AOSP Android Pie or XEU ROM you cant install just as apk.
you dont need root for GCam, just download apk and install , for example this one https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog355/
I give you link of Gcam thema here on forum, to read, not just first post.
i heard that the camera should be fine on 8.0 but it seems to be slim pickings for oreo support these days.ive tried mostly pie roms on this phone, theres a problem with camera with all of them. ive been using lineage 15.1 oreo and the camera gives almost the same amount of issues. so i guess my question is the camera just going to always give me an issue no matter the version? the lineage oreo also has been noticeably slower than the pie version
this is a same problem speak me and nothing answer, i flash-pixel-lineage the problem are always bluetooth and camera.
the only work well are the port partial xiaomi and the original

Which xiaomi port? And when you say original, do you mean stock?
The bluetooth has been working fine for me but I rarely use it. Camera has been a consistent issue

Heyyo, Google camera mods have been kinda touchy on S2, but luckily nullby has made s2 specific gcam mod ports.
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-nullbytepl/
As for custom ROM support for these? You'll need either a custom ROM that has selinux enforcing policies for it like LineageOS 16.0 (which I did a crapload of work on to ensure nullby gcam mods would work perfectly on with selinux enforcing) or any other ROM port based on LOS 16.0 selinux enforcing trees. Otherwise? Any custom ROM that is selinux permissive.
I recently flashed miui and am really liking it. Enough people don't talk about the port for some reason, maybe they don't like the skin perhaps? It's been the best rom I've tried from what I remember

Which v of MIUI port r u using?
How's the Battery SOT, Stand-by Stats & GCam compared to MIUI stock Cam?
I previously ran ROS MIUI 9.3.21 ROM only to find the Camera crash while trying to take photo and Video call in WhatsApp.
Now I'm on EUI 6.0.030 by Cuoco92 & it's fine. But I'm looking for a good & stable MIUI ROM without crashes but with decent Battery stats and Camera system...
Thanks...

Hey whatsup!
Im currently on Pixel Extended 4 Android 12 and the rom is really great. However, I still miss many features from the Miui camera so I want to go back to Miui. Whats the proper way to do it?
Regards
You can flash the recovery rom if you need your bootloader unlocked even after flashing miui but if u don't need that you can flash the original rom from mi flash tool
Thanks alot..i already tried and it worked. Thought I couldnt flash MIUI in Recovery due to encryption. But it worked flawless. I still need to get used to the "slow" experience on MIUI compared to Pixel Extended 4. But I want to use the camera to its fullest content.
Thanks

You can try the European miui rom, it has better speed than the other ones
Im using the EEA europe version right now. you mean the xiaomi.eu rom? Thats even slower and stuttering is pretty common opening apps.
I should have said this earlier but there is an mi camera port called anx camera. But not sure it will work or not
Theres no working ANX for Android 12 as far as I know. And IF, theres no 1080 MP sensor. But nvm..Ill stick with Miui for now. Maybe theres some upcoming stuff in the future.
Thanks
Ok good luck
Hey there hello
So I've been playing around with custom roms for a 1.5 year. I think I have enough experience and now I'm starting to get interested in mods and ports
Idk much about that and I just want to start asking how do I install the Xiaomi stock camera app in my Redmi Note 10 Pro with a custom ROM installed on it.
Also if anyone can explain me what does been "ported" mean thanks

Ported/Porting/Ports means a specific software that only works on selected devices and giving it support to work for other devices.
In the case of your question, Xiaomi Cam, or MIUI Cam, is the default camera application for Xiaomi devices tunes by Xiaomi themselves and only works for Xiaomi devices, with specific features for each devices.
ANX Camera is the port of MIUI Camera that works for Custom ROM and some non-miui based OS. ANX is a Magisk Module too meaning you'll have to root your phone to install systemlessly. Link to the download:
ANXCamera by AEonAX
Download latest ANXCamera, A Miui Camera Port for Xiaomi's Devices, Install via Magisk or TWRP
camera.aeonax.com
I recommend you to use v204 even though it's an alpha release to get the closest camera quality similar to stock. If that doesn't work, try the stable release which are 190R or 185R.
