Hi folks,
So I cannot use Netflix anymore because they blocked rooted devices. It appears the only way to get past that is using Magisk. But it looks like i need to revert to stock before I do that.
Wanted to find out if anyone has done this already?

Hi all!
Iv got a Galaxy S III I9305 here, and it has just been unlocked from EE, so it can be used with a Three sim instead.
But this seems to have caused some problems...
I have no idea how this person has unlocked it, but now when I try to open a Banking App, its telling me it cant be used as the device is rooted...
why would the person that unlocked it have rooted it too? just seems weird!
My question is, if I was to follow This guide to unroot it, would I also loose the unlock to use any sim, as I will probably have to flash a stock EE rom back on to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
cheers
Keith
You just need to flash a Stock Sammsung rom.Wich firmware have you now? When for example you.'re on 4.1.1 you need to find and flash true Odin Stock 4.1.2 firmware. This will remove the root.

Im not actually sure what version has been put on it to be honest, because it just looks like a stock rom to me, which is weird haha
It says its version 4.3.
So if I use Odin to flash this file... http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/38008/I9305XXUENH1_I9305EVRENH1_EVR.zip/
It should let me use banking apps, and also stay unlocked for any sim?
Cheers for your help!
Another option, would be to keep it rooted, install Xposed framework (which is great by the way) and then install Rootcloak.
Rootcloak lets you fool apps into thinking that the phone is not rooted.
I use it for some tv-streaming apps, which works quite well.

Tried giving this a go, but I cant get Xposed framework to install...
I just get a 'There was a problem while parsing the package" error :s
Its running Android 4.3 so it should be compatible.
I'm wondering if anyone has had success with magisk on the note 4 on epg2 or epe3. I'm currently running AICP on EPG2, 910T on T-Mobile. I wasnt able to find anything in the forums about whether Magisk will work.
It doesn't look like Niantic is going to pull safetynet from the game, and I'd rather not unroot. Anyone tried it? And if so, what Rom did you start with? I was thinking of flashing a deodexed rooted Rom, unrooting, then flashing magisk. Would that work, or do I need to start with a completely stock, unrooted Rom?
Any advice is appreciated!
Well, if anyone else is interested, I've successfully installed magisk, systemless root, and root toggle works perfectly. I even got it to work with ACIP rom, which is a cm13 build, on EPG2 baseband. About to install closed on top of it.

im running stock rom epg2 then rooted it with phh superuser 17, installed magisk, systemless xposed framework & was able to play pogo.
i was using dynamic kat for a long while and with pokemon go using safteynet its kinda difficult. i found the magisk trick but i need lollipop but there s no way to get custom recovery TWRP and cyn doesnt work and SS needs root so ive been looking but ive had no luck.
Hi peoole, today i found my netflix not working on my rooted N9. I can login and browse through but when i try to play anything, it gets stuck at loading? Does it have anything to do with a rooted device? I checked magisk for safety pass and it did pass. Plz help !
Most custom roms include a Netflix fix. Yo could try to hide it with magisk, see if that does anything.
I'm using custom rom based on Samsung's with root, and Netflix can't play in hd + widevine level 3.
Is it normal? What caused it from l1 to l3- root or custom rom or bl unlocked?
i have the same problem but i used the old version of Netflix.. the problem was resolved for me ...
this version is worded for me
.. 2018.10.01 ..
Go back to stock if you can, unless you're a developer there's no reason. Imo

Don't go back to stock, there is a module on Magisk that allows you to play Netflix.. See this thread..

That should fix it.
Hi all. Have used XDA for years but never posted.
I am looking for a completely stock ROM with GPS joystick app pre installed as a system app for use with pokemon go.
Every ROM I've used even a stock ruu then rooting with magisk, using magisk hide etc fails on me giving me the os unsupported error.
Has anyone made a ROM for this or anyone got a working joystick with pokemon go that can make a twrp backup to upload
