Iam using ginger eliteV3 for last one week.I really like this rom.But i can't controll music from my head phone buttons.only volume buttons working others (play/pause,FF,REV)dont. Is there any remedy for this problem?
Maybe our Android dont support that? Nowadays headphone dont usually have that buttons.

Thanks for your reply. But it was worked in all the roms which I tried except ginger elite v3. Also x8 have special jack for these controlls.
Its the compatibility issue. If it worked on other ROMs, copy the libs from there or ask your cook to update.
Hope this helps

Maybe you install with other ROM. If it's ok, your ROM may have a bug.

What rom are you on? I've just upgraded to lrq and the volume is about half that of previous roms.

I was on LR6 earlier and now on LRQ and no issue with vol ever, are you sure your Note isn't faulty?
Did you try reflashing the rom using odin or some custom rom to compare?

Switch to an AOKP ROM and flash this App. save the file on either of your cards. Its called Awesome beats and really does wonders for the sound quality.
I will not be responsible for whatever happens. I do know that the DSP can be flashed onto most CM based AOKP projects. Have flashed it on to diff roms with out a problem. here is the Link to thread
Hi guys,
I have the same problem on all roms except the Liquid Black Rom 3.2.1
If you want Pure Loud Volume use the Rom with the build in plugin Musicfx.
Be Careful do not harm your Ears.
Its not the Plugin itself it has something to do with the Rom itself.
I send already an Pm to the Dev to investigate the issue, feature....

Hey killer am sorry but i didnt get what you were saying....."pure loud volume" being? personally, the quality of sound using the FX module distorts the sound quality anything over 80% but works wonderfully when used with Awesome Beats V3.
Personally I'd recommend - SpeakerBoost from Googleplay.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.omegacentauri.SpeakerBoost&hl=en, It's as loud as it gets... and the best of it all, it's for free. Just download and install it and your done. Boost the volume and you're gonna get what you need.
I'm using it for quite sometime already and sometimes when use my phone for calls, It's boosting up my speaker and the headset as well. Sometimes it's get my ears already as the volume get's a bit too loud for my liking...
Anybody can help me. My vibration phone can't work and my headset jack going wrong, My notification and when I make a call, my microphone can't work. So this is a hardware wrong? Or my custom rom...
Before my phone wrong, I use Chocobread Rom, then my Vibrator can't work, then my headset jack wrong, when I use CM10.1 by Rohan.
Please anybody if know my problem give me a solution...
Sorry for bad english

Oh! the water must have obviously caused the problem. Water causes these problems like bad or no display, no sound or vibration etc.
You will have to change some part of the hardware from the Samsung service centre

if you have any previous experience with opening a mobile, i'd suggest you to give it a try and open it up. Most of the problems will be fixed in most phones just by opening it and taking off all connections and putting it back properly. But make sure you remember which parts go where.
If you are brave enough to open it yourself, do it and clean it up.
hello guys i'm runing XenonHD rom and my problem is when i plug in the headset and listen to my music it sounds like an audio effect is applied but i searched in settings and the Apps Effets Audio i disabled all the options and try many ways but nothing changed note that when i listen music through phone speakers it's amazing but only when i use the headset it goes bad so any suggestion please !!
da sound already applied, u can choose different kernel thou, but be real cautious when choosing kernel
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
please @compacity can you be moore clear !!
i actually forgot about xenon (flashed it before), but sound effect depend on kernel, if its already activate voodoo sound or cmc, it would be natural, but if u telling me ur earfone sound awful but speaker ok, what kind of earfone u used? if it juz earphone (without mic) then da sound would n naturally be suck, as da jack support for mic also (3 line on da plugger earfone). earphone for iphone (mic included, not da one u need to push da button to speak but mic already on) or original earfone from samsung would be good.
before this u flash mackay rite? there's a dsp manager on setting>sound rite, that's da controller for sound, but if its not there, then its already activate.
so there is two basic solution, either u using wrong earphone or da kernel. try other earfone also
ps; so now u already know how to choose ur own rom....

actually i dont hav any privilages to compare others work as all of them were good n sorry u need to choose it by urself as i hate comparing hardshipness of dev, n u can see da kernel name on setting>about fone.
why dont u take voodoo equalizer, thats will work without changing rom. u can get it at theme n app section
flashing rom quite easy, but there is specialize kernel for each version. so read carefully, juz put da kernel.zip into root of internalsd n flash it via cwm or twrp after u clear dalvik cache n cache.

Hi
I'd like to use an external DAC with my Nexus 6 but with CM12 it looks like I have no OTG support on USB port ! Is it a limit of current night build of CM ? or hardware limit of Nexus 6 ?
Thanks

Have you used this particular DAC before? If so, did you use it with your Nexus 6 before going to CM? Did you try another OTG cable?
I know those are basic question, just trying to find the root of your issue, I just plugged my Leckerton Audio mk II in and it worked with the newest CM night so it makes me think you are having an issue somewhere else.

I just switched to Nexus 6 and I switched it to CM*before checking if it was working I'll check with an other cable and perhaps upgrade to latest night build of CM*(I installed the first nightly avalaible for N6*!!

Im running CM 12-20150115 . Yeah try the newest build and perhaps try from a clean wipe in case you have some app interfering.
What DAC are you trying to use?

The Fiio E18 CM12-20150112 here !
I dont use CM, but do use BlissPop and it works fine with my AudioQuest DragonFly. Also if you use HD files you really need a HD player like USB Audio Player Pro.

So Vince I thought I just had an issue with my DAC, couldnt figure out what the problem was after a whole bunch of troubleshooting then realized I had my USB and OTG cable flipped (Phone->USB->OTG->DAC which is wrong). Perhaps this is your issue?

Good point, will check that thanks
I'm facing the same issue. I cannot use my USB drives on Nexus 6. My N6 is running the latest CM12.
It's not a hardware problem as the USB storage is accessible in TWRP recovery.

Can't you just use stick mount from the app store?
