Any news about the software? Is based nougat o oreo? And has it the MIUI 9?
Sorry for my English
3400mah battery, no OLED screen and no headphone jack. Really unimpressed. I've been looking forward to this for months but now I have no interest.

Definitely feels like form over function. I guess we'll just have to keep looking out for something that suits our needs.

They are to busy with the ''full screen'' and forget about specs.
What can I say? This truly is disappointing. Not only certain specs and omissions as others have mentioned, but looking at a few hands on, side bezels appear thicker than the Mix 1 with bottom only slightly smaller. Looks nothing like the Starck concept video! Lol... Hell, I'll prob just grab the original Mix now that prices will be cheap as it gets.
I'm especially disappointed about the same thick bezels like on the Mix 1. The digital render photos of the Mix 1 were photo-shopped to have a thinner bezel. Looking at hands on videos of the Mix 2 with case removed, it looks as thick as on the Mix 1.
The only thing that seems to be cool display wise, is the DCI-P3 gamut. But I don't know how many % of that gamut is covered. If it's 100% then it's similar to HDR, which is nice, once you saw it in real life. AMOLED would have been much cooler tho. 3400mAh is a joke, as the Mix 1 had 4400mAh and i thought it's loosing against my girlfriends Galaxy A9 Pro with 5000mAh and 6.3" screen.
I'm curious if it suffers from the same random restarts as my first Mi Mix.
White is only available with the special edition

I see a discrepancy for the battery capacity:
http://www.mi.com/en/mix/#section7
4400mAh
https://www.mi.com/mix2/specs/
3300 (typ) 3400 (max)
https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/b62b4448
3400mAh
http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_mix-8400.php
3400mAh
So I guess the official mi.com/en/mix site made a typo? Would be a dream if the Mix 2 would have the same battery capacity as my Mix 1 (4400mAh)

Is it worth to pay extra 70$ for the upgrade of premium edition 512 / 12 instead of k20 pro 256 / 8
I am still waiting for my k20 pro by start of november so I am thinking of selling it sealed new when it arrives and add 70$ difference to get the premium top version
I am thinking of this but at the same time feeling I wonot feel the difference and note that I am not a gamer but I love performance and speedy UI
I had a poco with 256 / 8 with custom roms earlier
I am a kinda of person that always seeks the top variant or trims to have the max specs within a value for money concept
- 8 Ram vs 12 Ram , feels that I won't feel a difference here
- 512 GB vs 256 GB ( the MIN I can deal with is 128 while a 3rd card slot is present like realme as dual sim is a must for me ) , comes in handy sometimes but if we think straight then an external hard drive would do the job for movies, series , etc
-855+ vs 855 , this is my main question if it worth it or not ???!! as I saw in gsmarena review that antutu for k20 pro is around 37X000 while Premi Edition is around 45X000
Please guys help me in this one
I have thinking about buying this phone and the price is being dropped to 23k.
So according to all of the users that have been using this device is it still viable option or i should skip this now.
I Like flashing roms and modding so this phone ticks that box aswell.
So wondering if someone could share their experiences so that i can decide if to buy it or not.
23k what ? I haven't seen this phone on sale (as new) for months. I even saw one used on amazon at more than 400 € while I paid mine less than 300 mid octobre last year. I recently bought a Mi Note 10 Pro but I prefer my 9T Pro (it's faster, and has no cut in the screen). I've flashed several ROMs (Syberia, cdDroid) but had problems with Camera apps. Now, I have both phones using the latest xiomi.eu beta (and there's nothing else for the Mi Note 10).

ON upcoming sale from 6th august k20 pro will be for 23k 6-128 variant and thats why i am planning to get this but have doubts about heating and battery backup..
Is "k" a currency ? I wouldn't never buy a phone at 23000 €, even not a car. Maybe I have to guess your country and where you expect to buy a phone which seems to have disappeared months ago. The phone is cold and battery lasts long (especially when not used).

23K will be Indian INR - Also FlipKart is an Indian online retailer, so there's a hint there.
Just had a look and that's coming in at around $305 US.
Probably not much difference in price to what you could get it for, last year, on AliExpress.
On one side, it's not much of a sale discount, considering it's over a year old.
But on the other side, there's been a bit of a price hike all across the board this year, so it's a better phone than all the mid range SD7xx phones that are available now, for around the same price.
If you can stretch to a bit more money, the Poco F2 Pro should be a better option. But if 23K is about your limit, This phone, will probably be the best available for that price.
Battery life and performance are very good, with not a great deal of heat under heavy load.
Its still great phone for 23-24k Rs price range SD 855 , 6GB Ram , 128GB storage .. no notch display with hdr and good cameras (can be made better via gcam mods) and great redmi has release kernel sources so you have custom os and rom development .

Poco F2 Pro isn't available in India and in current pandemic situation with India China dispute Buying anything from AliExpress doesn't make sense.
my budget is 25000 max and at 25k i also have Realme X3 which might have better camera(Though I don't care for camera's) and a 120hz ips panel with 855+ chipset but the development situation for Realme devices is bad so i won't choose that one and also it doesn't has a 3.5mm jack.

K means Kilo = 1000 everywhere (not just in India and not only 1000 Rupias):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilo-
Still, it can be Kilo grams, Kilo meters, Kilo bytes, Kilo Rupias, Kilo Euros, etc.
Hence the price "23K" without a currency is meaningless - in India it would mean 23000 Rupias, in Europe 23000 Euros, in US 23000 Dollars
Since this is international forum, nobody should guess that the poster was from India and that 23K meant for him 23000 Rupias (not Canadian Dollars or 23000 in any other currency)

i will mention the prices in full currency next time on..
But i have seen some review stating that the device gets heated up very fast and the metal frame and screen becomes too hot to touch or use..
Also Miui 12 Indian stable update has ruined the phone as much as i have seen the reviews.
So was skeptical if this phone will at least last me 1-1.5 year without any issue from now on if i buy it.

as far as i know there are no heating issues with this device
since i have K20 (not K20 pro) i haven't seen any issues in that device
and talking about MIUI 12, even i didn't liked that they made it exactly like iPhone. Only thing i didn't like about MIUI 12 is notification center else everything is fine
and custom roms are always there
and if you have ICICI or City bank card then you will get the phone for around 20,700 and for that price i think that steal deal
its almost at same price segment as poco f1 was
BTW even i am planing to but this at 6th aug

Ok thanks for your response now i am sure to buy this one on sale.
23k INR will be a good value for this phone. I bought it for 32k BDT (around 350 USD) and price has been same now after dropping somewhere to 30k. Worth mentioning it's not manufactured anymore so will be unavailable any time.
For the comparison with Realme X3, amoled is superior over lcd on phones anytime, regardless of refreshrate.

Hey, I recently bought the K20 Pro ( almost 2 weeks ago) and I am more than delighted with it...
I did pre-order the Oneplus Nord but I that the phone was overhyped and not worth it.... The other competition is Realme X3 but that phone doesn't have much ROM support... So no..
I just love this phone.... The built quality is more that Awesome.. and the pop up camera is more sturdy than I expected.. I got it for ₹2 25k.. And for that price it's the best in class according to me..
It does get warn...( As all phones do ) but I don't think that's a problem..
I did compare it with POCO X2 of my friend and I found its camera wayy better.... This phone's main camera is kinda average.... But I feel it's just the best deal you can get...
Also don't even think that this phone is an year old and all that stuff.... It's still the best. I personally believe that one year old flagship killer with good support are the best....
Previously I had Lenovo Z2 Plus with SD820...( for ₹1 13000 for a new one) and that was my life..
I hope that after reading this you too will become a member of our community....
The only ? thing is MIUI... And I am sure you will change that.... ..

Same here, just bought a few days ago for 24000 INR. It is the best bang for the buck. The only other competitors are Realme X3 which has LCD screen and no dev support, and the Nord which looks uglier imo and is a plastic build, with slower processor. The only upside for it is the 90Hz screen, but the K20 pro does go upto 72 Hz, so its not that of a big deal. Only downside is the camera, my old Mi A2 felt better (GCam in both). Especially, the selfie camera is very bad in a few indoor conditions. But even the Nord has the same main camera sensor, so there's that.
I think you should go for it.

Hi just wanted provide some details between the differences between the two this time difference is not just a extra 10x camera and cemeric back but alot more
1 . Extra 10x camera
2. SFS 1.0 ( 2 fold faster than ufs 3.1)* see the explanation below
3. 12 gb ram standard on both 256 gb and 512 gb
4. OIS built in 50MP camera please note that mate 40 pro has the same camera but without OIS
5.Ceramic back
6. 3D Depth Sensing Camera instead of laser sensor which you get on mate 40 pro
all in all mate 40 pro plus is a different phone than mate 40 pro
price difference isnt much on JD.com mate 40 pro 256gb is 6999 yaun ( 1060$) and mate 40 pro plus 256gb is 8999 yaun ( 1360$) so for 300$ more you get so much more that matters alot.
Based on the results of measuring the homegrown Huawei SFS 1.0 flash module, it was possible to establish that it provides almost a twofold increase in the speed of operation in comparison with the UFS 3.1 flash memory.
According to reports, the sequential write speed was 1280 MB/s, and random 548 MB/s.
In comparison, these figures for UFS 3.1 are 700 MB/s, and 200-300 MB/s, respectively, GizChina reported.

I have always liked and used them in the past, very polite and fast deliveries, they get items fast, but this has just amazed and disgusted me. Can't stress how disappointed I am.
Look at those insane prices. Disgusting behaviour!
Almost 6 thousand USA dollars for the 256gb model...!?
They want 10 thousand dollars for the 512gb model...!? Wow

Liaow.com
I have always liked and used them in the past, very polite and fast deliveries, they get items fast, but this has just amazed and disgusted me. Can't stress how disappointed I am.
Look at those insane prices. Disgusting behaviour!
Almost 6 thousand USA dollars for the 256gb model...!?
They want 10 thousand dollars for the 512gb model...!? Wow

Liaow has been really overpriced in the past few years, Def wouldn't buy from them again.

I just received my Mate X2 yesterday, but not really getting on with it as it's a little large, so going to stick with my original Galaxy Fold. If anyone in the UK is interested in a Huawei Mate X2 - Black 256GB (opened but immaculate - new condition), let me know. I'll post some pictures later.

There are reviews already, like this one:
I'm definitely interested in buying the Global Version since it seems it'll work a little better with T-Mobile USA. Hopefully it goes on sale soon. My OnePlus 7 Pro has served me well but it's time for an upgrade

I ordered the MI11 Ultra in white ceramic today at Trading Shenzhen. 12GB/512GB version. Showed 2 units in stock.
Damn.. been a long time since I was that excited to get a new phone. And the first time I paid that much. But now all my amature camera's can leave the building.

I've considered it, but stuck between waiting for the Global variant and having everything work easily, and impulse buying the China version having to flash Xiaomi.eu and losing band 66 coverage. Also worried about having to deal with a janky China Rom while I wait 15 days to unlock the bootloader

I pulled the trigger on one from trading shenzen after reading that folks were using the Mi 10 Ultra China model on ATT last year with no problems. This has basically the same band support. I can always flash xiaomi.eu if I need to. can't wait to get the phone now.

Nice... Let's share our first impressions here.
I would order one from Trading Shenzen right now .
Only problem is that i dont know if i have to pay VAT or other customs fees when importing it . And the main doubt i got is regarding the network bands , 4G and 5G ones . Will this phone work in UK and european countries ? Thanks in advance , waiting a reply from someone who used Trading Shenzen before regarding VAT or extra customs fees .
Do i risk having no signal if i use it in Europe 4G or 5G ?
On the (Dutch) Tweakers forum in regards to ordering the Mi 11, someone stated:
Tip: select Global Priority as a shipping method, you pay a fraction more for the shipping, but you are guaranteed no extra bill for any import duties.
So I hope that will work as well for us with the Ultra, as global priority was selected automatic.
