A simple question and a small request. All the specs I found couldn't answer me the question whether the RAZR i has a gyroscope sensor. Could you, lucky RAZR i owners, do me favor and answer me this question?
To discover this information the free app "Android Sensor Box" can be helpful. If a gyro is built-in the icon "Gyroscope Sensor" is accessible and you could check the function of this sensor. If not this icon is grayed out.
Thanks for your support!
I was pretty sur it has one ... but the app tell it doesn't ...

That's what I suspected :crying: Unfortunately the gyro is the basic requirement for the photo sphere camera in Jelly Bean 4.2
Maybe it's built in but not activate... maybe ...
if it doesn't have a gyro, how does auto orientation work?
Sent from my XT890 using xda premium
For screen orientation is a less complex sensor sufficient. With a gyro is your phone able to measure the amount and speed of rotation in all axis.

Hi, I just wanted to ask you guys, it seems that my i8190 does not have a light sensor, also, i cannot set the brightness to "automatically" in screen settings.
So, does Samsung Galaxy S III mini have a light sensor?
Thank you in advance.
No, it only has a proximity sensor and the VGA camera next to the speaker grill.
It also doesn't have a notification LED, which seems to be a "premium feature" nowadays... X(
you can get it from custom rom like cyanogenmod

Well, if there is a light sensor, i can imagine that a custom ROM can access it somehow and make auto brightness possible.
BUT, there is no LED, so that is something we can never expect to be in any custom ROM, or am I wrong ?

Its not the sensor's fault, its the default settings samsung had set for different light levels, you can modify it though
hi guys, so was anyone able to enable fingerprint wakeup while screen is off (without turning screen on first) in miui8 global rom? I mean with soft touch on the fingerprint without pressing the home button...
this feature was added in custom roms, but when I tried the same trick in miui8 it didn't work.. anyone suceeded? TIA!
Add this as a custom control using kernel audiutor. It's not perfect though sometimes you need to disable and then re-enable it on reboots
thanks for your help mate! but I don't use kernel adiutor.. and to add custom controls probably it is needed the donation version so.. I prefer to buy xMIUI donate version atm will look for alternative solutions thanks again though!

You can build his apk from source and remove the function for requiring donate key I just bought it though, it is only cheap and I use it a lot
way beyond my capabilities...
I could buy it too, that's not a so big expense, but also I don't use google services/play store, so I don't even know if I could actually! (don't think can get a unlock key after donating but only buy it from the play store..) so...

Hello everybody.
We all know that Moto Display is very useful and shows incoming notification. In Moto G and E devices, it activates when the phone is moved from its position, or when a flip cover over the phone is opened. However I have heard that in Moto X devices, it activates even if you wave over the proximity sensor.
So I thought of making a small app that does the same. It is on Play Store.
MotoDisplay handwave

Thanks for giving your feedback.
As far as I know, CM 14.1 does not have Moto Display.
You can check that out by going to the "More Info" option at the bottom of the app. If you see that Moto Display is not supported (in red) then the app can't do anything.

Did you switch the app on? Please press the toggle button at the top of the app to switch it on.
Of course I turned it on. The wave to sleep works, but the wave to wake doesn't.

Never mind, finally got it working with a fresh install. I was using it in a darker room earlier. You might want consider a sensitivity adjustment, just a thought.

This app does not use ambient light sensor. I have tested this app on stock 6.0.1 on G4 plus and G3. Also on stock 5.1.1 on G3. I didn't get any issues. I don't know what's wrong with stock 6.0.

Sorry for double
It works nice on xt1540 with stock 6.0
Can't turn screen off with the handwave and hold though, but I've been using nova's double tap so it's not a problem for me
Great work, thanks!
Working Well, thank-you:fingers-crossed:

Do also try the music volume notification.
The "Wave-n-hold for screen off" will be made better in the next update.

I think this is aimed more at people still running stock, as all the custom Roms have ambient display built in.

and check "motodisplay handwave", that worked for me
sorry, i'm mexican and i'm not sure if my english is understandable, and if the path that i gave it's like that in english
Incredible! That's what I missed in moto Display. I think moto Display is very good, but ambient display from custom Roms have wave wake. With this app I can combine the best of the two.
It really works great (rooted, Xposed, 6.0.1, stock rom).

Moto G(3rd Gen) now feels complete.....
I'm wondering if we can hide notifications on the lock screen until the phone reconises the face, but does not unlock the phone with the face. Only allow the pin code or fingerprint.
