Huawei Home keeps setting itself back as the launcher - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

This is for the EVA-AL10.
I use Nova Launcher. I changed to it using apps -> settings -> default app settings -> launcher. It works fine, but then when I turn bluetooth on to listen to music during my commute, some time while BT is active, the launcher gets changed back to Huawei Home, and I have to go through the progression I detailed above. Unless I turn Bluetooth off, I run the risk of the default launcher being changed back to Huawei Home again at any time.
Has anyone seen this before? Does anyone have any ideas?

[Q] Unable to switch between multiple launchers in Xperia SP with Cyanogenmod 11

Hi,
I'm using Cyanogenmod 11 in my Sony Xperia SP and since Trebuchet is the default launcher, wanted to try out Google Now Launcher. However, after installing it from the Play Store, I'm unable to switch from Trebuchet to Google Now. The main reason being:
1. There is no Settings > Home options (where I can switch the launchers).
2. Tapping on the Google Now Launcher tells me to clear defaults in Trebuchet and then press home button, however, the clear defaults button in inactive.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem will be a great help!

Neither on stock there's. Have you tried to locate in settings > apps, the active launcher you have?
In its info should be a voice to reset "its default state" and then you could choose your favourite launcher pressing home

switching launchers?

I installed another launcher, now every time I tap the home button I get to choose which one I want to use.
What if I choose to "always use launcher X" and then I'll change my mind, the setting screen doesn't have launcher options...
Any idea how do that?
You go into settings -> apps + games, manage all applications, find the launcher you made default, go into it, click clear defaults.

Launcher changes to default after intalling Xposed

Ahoi!
Finaly I installed Xposed, but now I'm facing a problem:
When I set my preferred MicrosoftLauncher, it shows only until I press Home or Backbutton from other apps or reboot.
Then again the launcher/homescreen falls back to stock Launcher3.
The dialog, asking for default launcher does not show.
Same Problem, when choosing Launcher from settings, as when starting MicrosoftLauncher by app icon.
The dialog however shows, when I choose the "set-default" option in the MicrosoftLauncher settings – but the setting only persists until reboot.
Any suggestions how to set and keep my launcher settings?
problem persists

Problem is still there – any solution or hint?
I'm almost about to write some kind of script, that manualy switches to MS-Launcher after boot – does any1 know, where default launcher is stored in config-files – maybe it'd be enough to just insert the right value while init at boot…

Display Sometimes Fails To Update

I've only had he phone a few days, everything is stock (not rooted yet). What I've noticed is occasionally the display gets stuck. Like if I'm using a music player app (poweramp) and it plays to the end of the song and then goes to the next track in the playlist, but the display doesn't change. If I go to the recent apps (overview) and then go right back to the poweramp, it updates the display to the new track. The bug doesn't seem to be app-specific, I've seen it happen with other apps, including system apps.
Has anybody else encountered this? Is there any fix or any ideas? There was an OTA update today, but it didn't make any difference.
I had this happen to me, the way I solved it was to activate the labs feature in Nova launcher (you go into the settings front page of Nova then press and hold the volume down button untill you get a message telling you labs has been activated, then go into labs and toggle the refresh widgets on resume setting, it helps my system work, may help you
Thanks for your response, I tried it but it didn't work for me.

Question Weird launcher issue

I don't know what happened, I was going to pair my smart watch (non-samsung) to my S21 Ultra but it wouldn't, so I rebooted the phone, and it rebooted with the One UI launcher instead of Nova Launcher, so I switched back to Nova, checked the default setting in Nova settings and it was still set to Nova as the default, when trying to leave the Nova settings, it again returned to One UI home, so I checked in settings for default apps, and Nova is still set to the default. So I tried force stopping One UI home, and return home, and again, it opens One UI home, it will not open Nova anymore.
I tried rebooting again, and oddly enough, Nova was the default launcher again. Figured it was just a glitch so I went on with my day and it just happened again but I haven't touched anything, it was on my desk all day untouched and when I picked it up, One UI launcher again.
Now, no matter how many times I reboot, it will always pick the One UI launcher, but the weird thing is when I'm in Nova, I can't swipe to go home because it's already on the default launcher, but when in an app, I swipe to go home and it goes to One UI home, and swiping to go home does nothing within that launcher as well.
So some how, not sure what happened, but the phone is using both launchers at the default now and there's no way to stop One UI from opening.
I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, or if there's a fix for it, but would removing One UI with ADB (if possible) cause issues? Like if I force remove this with ADB will the phone even boot to a different default launcher if One UI home isn't there anymore?
I would do more testing but this is my daily driver so I don't wanna mess with it too much, but this is really annoying that it keeps defaulting to One UI home.
I was having the same issue at first. What I did to fix it was set OneUI as default, exit the menu. Go back into that menu and then change back to Nova Launcher. Reboot. It took a couple of tries repeating the same process, but it eventually sticks. I haven't had any issues since.
Also, side note. The Samsung widgets that aren't transparent, first set them up in OneUI with the settings you want them at. Then when you go back Nova Launcher, remove the the original and readd them. There is only 1 widget that I can't get to go transparent, Reminders.
