Hi All, I have 3 lines on my account the 3rd line is a blackberry as a spare phone for the kids. T-mobile said Samsung has a promotion of $200 off if I get a Samsung device. So I got the Note 4 and once I got it I connected to my number not the spare phone number. This caused the promotion to be voided so now I have until Jan 13 to postmark it for a return.
The promotion should show up automatically by going to www.tmobile.com/promotions and entering the information.
Since the promotion is not showing up for me its voided. I switch sim card and try to see if the promotion appears again before Jan 13. if not I'll return it.
Hope this helps anyone so yo are not shocked if you loose your $200 off promotion from Samsung.
Those promotions are almost always for activating a new line of service.
i have not heard of such promotion from t-mobile. the only $200 promotion was through samsung for pre-ordering the note 4 with a valid trade in, that promo ended 2 months ago. if you're referring to a $200 rebate from t-mobile for trading in a blackberry, then that promotion should've ended on 12/31/14, that promotion started around the summer of '14 and not many people still remember it. the only current samsung promotion is you get 1yr of netflix for free if you buy a note 4, s5, tab s or uhd tv.
(This promotion was originally meant to include the Note7 but because of the recall they removed it from the advertising. THE GALAXY NOTE7 IS STILL INCLUDED IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PROMOTION.)
For the people who are swapping your defective Samsung Galaxy Note 7's or Loaner phones for a new Note 7 v2 replacement, you can sign up for this GS7/GS7 EDGE promotion for either the Samsung 256gb micro SD card or 2016 Gear VR and be approved. I just got my approval email yesterday 9/24 and I filled it out Wednesday, 9/23.
For some people it asks you to choose which phone you purchased, choose 'OTHER', if it doesn't ask you, just fill out the form normally.
When uploading proof of purchase you can use EITHER your eip or receipt of payment.
Here is the link direct from the T-mobile website that includes the Note 7 for this promotion:

I used my V2 note for the note 7 promotion that ended on the 21st. I said I purchased on 8-20 but receipt says 9-20. It's still under review. If it doesn't work I will call them and have them do it on the s7 edge promotion.

People have gotten approved within 5 hours when they checked their status online.
Says they are prepping for shipment. I guess there was a plus to this, free netflix for a year...and i get to try the vr. if I dont like it, sell it

Yes it's a GS7/GS7 EDGE promotion,
fill it out using your Note 7 V2 information & proof of purchase.
It might ask you which phone you purchased, if it does, choose other, if not just fill out whatever it asks you to.

You can be sure that I'll be trying if and when I get my replacement Note 7. I've already received the SD card for the original purchase and I have the VR pending shipment for the loaner S7. You can never have too many 256 GB micro SD cards, ya know.
I put in my request for the S7 promotion, unfortunately I didn't get a loaner S7, and input my Note 7 V2 Information. Hopefully it works but I will let you guys know the outcome

Should I call them to cancel it? Cause I tried to fill out the ones you guys are doing. But it says IMEI is used in another promotion.
Thanks so much for this tip. It was approved!!! Unfortunately I did not get to redeem the v1 the first time around because it was outside the promotional period but this way I get something

Worked for me! I exchanged my phone yesterday and submitted the promo today and it was approved.
I previously claimed the 256gb card also as you can see in the image.
Hi All,
I called T-Mobile today trying to find out what I can do with my "recalled" Note 7. I had ordered replacements over the phone and today was my last day to carry out the exchange at a store. I've had no problems with the 4 of them in my house. I was denied the exchange for the replacement Note 7 at the store. And somehow was also denied a refund/exchange for a different phone.
On the first try with customer service they connected me with an account specialist. She told me that the phone had been completely pulled from their inventory. As of today, the 10th of October the phone is no longer for sale. Even the replacement Note 7's were recalled. But here's the worst news for everyone who wants to keep the phone. She told me that as part of the recall I had to bring the phone back. I asked her about keeping it then using a JUMP upgrade when a newer phone came out. She informed me that they wouldn't accept the phone for trade in because sales were fully halted and customers have an opportunity to return their device.
So you're pretty much stuck with the phone and unable to have a phone to trade in, should you keep your Note 7. We can of course return the phone for a full refund and get something else. I'm eyeing the S7 Edge for the water resistance and the Micro SD cards I got from Samsung.I really didn't want to let this phone go, but I'm paying for JUMP (the very first one when they started the Uncarrier movement) and would like to be able to trade my phone in for the latest and greatest. I hope this helps you ease our concerns about JUMP and the Note 7.
TL;DR: You can't keep your Note 7 if you plan on upgrading to a new phone on JUMP. They won't accept it as a trade in because they're giving you a "choice" of getting a refund and getting another phone.

Wow, didn't think about that. Not sure what I'm gonna do, however historically I've kept all my Notes (2,3,4). Choices, choices.....hmmm
Wow!
Reps really don't know what they are talking about either.
If I would you, I would screenshot your post and post it to the twitter handle. Tag @JohnLegere and @Tmobilehelp and see if they would comment on this.
I'm not sure about a regular CS representative. But she was an account specialist. They are the ones with the power to make any changes to your account right away. I've had them do it before where a store messed up my JUMP upgrades and changed all the lines to JUMP 2 as opposed to the original JUMP. It took over an hour to get ahold of them that time, but the process was painless as soon as I got on the phone with them. They even credited me the EIP I owed on 4 phones because they were out of my hands and hadn't been processed yet, but the charge was on the bill. It happened again today, I had been credited for 3/4 phones and was still charged an EIP on the 4th phone, despite sending out all 4 of them on the same day. She credited the amount due and my bill was reduced.
I didn't get the Note 7 off of Jump! but if I understand the policy correctly, then this pretty much pays off Jump for you and gets you off the contract, which is great.
Right now you're paying the EIP monthly for the Note 7. Why don't you just pay off the Note 7 completely today, and then return the Note 7 device for the full refund. Doesn't that make you finished with the jump contract and free to get non-carrier phones like the Pixel? It also means you paid less overall since they bought back your first Jump phone for half the price, so you only paid half price for the phone before the note 7 overall which is a great deal.
No idea why that would be a surprise, or a wow moment. T-Mobile doesn't want to have any inventory of a phone they can not, not allowed to sell.
Makes my note 5 all the more the superior device lol.
Add into the fact that JUMP is also INS and if you break it, you're probably NOT going to get a repair. At least it is if you're on the original JUMP program.
This doesnt come as a surprise.
Once they cancel or recall a phone its obvious you cant use it as a JUMP device.

Don't waste your time at the @Tmobile account. I spent six days there getting lied to trying to get assistance on a loaner for the first Note 7 recall. Go right to John Legere's Twitter feed. I got an almost immediate response.
Maybe if his executive staff gets pestered enough, he'll fix his ****ty customer service.
I always got almost immediate answers from @Tmobilehelp .

Same here. Have this phone for only one day. I will return it ASAP before I get too attached.
If that is indeed the case (per what the OP said), then T-Mobile can't charge you the monthly charge for the Note 7. Which means, when you're ready to JUMP, you won't need to turn anything in.. you just get the new phone and start your new lease. IMO
I had posted a separate thread on this yesterday. Those of us that used JUMP! to upgrade our Note 5 phones are taking it in the shorts here. I had paid off half of that phone, paid $69 for the upgrade to Note 7, Paid a month or so on the Note 7 itself, and now I lose all of that money since I have to get another (non-flagship) phone. If I want to stay on the Note lineup, I have to go back to the Note 5, starting over on payments and losing not only the 12 months of payments, but also the upgrade taxes and fees to go to the Note 7.
Sucks!
Does this apply to JOD also?
so will we get to keep our note 7 for free?!
I tweeted John and TmobileCS said All phones can be returned for a refund including purchased accessories.

from what I was just told apparently not but I was also told the first JUMP! program wont be affected either. You can JUMP whenever you want without a penalty but again different CS different answer
I called about the JOD this morning. We switched to T-Mobile in January and I had the Note 5, then went to the S7 Edge when it came out, then went to the Note 7 (back to an S7 edge and back to the new and improved explosive Note 7). I want to get this turned in because it has got hot a couple of time while charging. However I want the V20 so I wanted to make sure that if I go in now and get the V10 that I will still be able to Jump to the V20 when the pre order comes out next week. I was told there will be no issue with that, at this point T-Mobile just wants their customers safe. So I am heading in after work to switch out our two Note 7s for V10's and then pre ordering V20's next week.
I want to keep my note 7 as long as possible. I was able to undo the newest update to limit charging to 60% using odin and going back to previous rom. I have everything working even sam pay and all so it's just fine. the only thong that worries me now is if Samsung strong arms tmobile into blocking our IMEI so that it won't work on the networks. I want to know when that will happen so I can be ready to get a blue coral s7 edge since they are coming this Friday the 18th on tmobile. But if they won't block us the I will keep note 7 until s8 comes out, but I'm doubting that they will let us have them that long. next best phone will be s7 edge in coral blue.. if anyone here's anything about us getting blocked, notify us all so we can be ready and not be caught unprepared with a non working phone.
I actually contacted T-Mobile to verify if I could return my device to take advantage of the BOGO on the Galaxy S7 this past Friday. Long story short I may have shot myself in the foot as they did not realize somehow that I still had a note 7 as it was shown as returned on my account. Anyhow, I asked if they had plans to block the note 7 from the network and I was told that nothing was in place for such action. Whether that is true or is to change in the future I do not know.

I got the same email? weird? still have the phone and still see the monthly charge on it. anyone knows anything? do we have a free phone in our hands? :cyclops:
oh my goodness, I got my monthly bill from tmobile and it was like 80 bucks less than usual( about 180$). and I dug I to see why and i found that the deducted the 25 for the credit for returning my first note phone. also I didn't see my note 7 on the eip list. so as of now I'm not paying installments on my note 7 )) does that mean when I get a new phone I don't have to use my jump or give the phone back since its "paid off". ? hmmm I wonder what's going on. I hope this doesn't prelude the blocking IMEI on these phones... But for now, wow, I'm it paying anything for this phone on my bill!!
Tmobilr cant blacklist the phone until samsung and the gov gives the ok.
And i got $100 credit for the frist 2 note 7 i had. No email.
Still beong charged for the second 2 note 7 tho.
I order an s7 edge sliver for my wife which should be here in a fee days and then i will return her note.
And i have to deal with samsung on mines since tmobile dont sell black s7 edge anymore.
So once all that is done. Tmobile is suppose to be giving me $205 cash pre phone and $100 bill credit pre phone from samsung.
My last bill (about 2 weeks old) shows $25 credit for returning V1, plus 1st installment charge for V2, but later also got an e-mail thanking me for returning N7 as well. Now this could be for returning V1, or they wrote off V2, won't know until my next bill. There is no other phone I want and N8 is long way off, so I'll just wait and see, since I have N3 as a back up and if I look hard enough I probably find my old S3 as well. I'm upset at myself for updating the phone, I should have known better, with root I would just change IMEI to old S3 number and wouldn't care what they do.

Anyone know the correct steps to ordering a Verizon note 8 on best buy and getting the full trade in allowance? I'm not sure if I am suppose to pre order on best buy first then go to Verizon's site and get the $480 bill credit. I don't know best buys deal - or any deals, I haven't looked yet. I will buy direct through Samsung IF they actually give me $425 for my Note 7. Often there is fine print and ways they can wiggle you down on what they actually give you for a trade in. So until I know for sure that I can get $425 for my Note 7 on a trade in for the Note 8, I am not doing anything. Although my Note 7 is not usable as a phone, just a smaller wifi tablet at this point.

just got done speaking with Samsung. here is the link to check your eligibility. I did qualify, they basically say the trade in has to be almost perfect, no cracks, black lists, powers on, good software. I think they should offer it through the carriers.
here is the link. not sure how long the promo is, they didn't have an expire date when I asked. I still think I may wait a little to see if they offer it in blue

Thanks. I have already pre-ordered the Note 8. I did use the $425 trade in program. You cannot trade in a Note 7 if you have one, but you can trade in many other kinds of phones. I thought that a bit odd as I thought the point was for them to get N7's OUT of the hands of people still using them somehow (I haven't had mine activated since early February).
I am trading my S7E in, which I bought mint, but used back in early February to take the place of my soon to be deactivated Note 7. I paid $275 for it back in February, so that is a good ROI on the phone, which has just been sitting in a drawer since April. It has been my backup phone and is in very good condition (almost mint). I am currently using an S8+ but I will keep that as my backup phone most likely. Again, thanks for the info and link!

I guess I order through best buy. Then go to Verizon's site to get the $480 bill credit which will put my bill at just under $13 a month. Tomorrow I'm going to call and double check before I pull the trigger. I wonder if Sammy would take S8+ for a trade in?
