Hi, my samsung galaxy s 2 recently broke and I'm planning on using my old phone until my galaxy is repaired. I have my old htc incredible s, but the only problem is that it's locked to Virgin Mobile and I'm with Fido now. How do I unlock my phone so that I can use my Fido sim card on it?

Contact Virgin Mobile and ask them for the SIM unlock code. If they will not provide you with it, then you will have to resort to one of the paid services that will sell you an unlock code.
Are you certain it's network locked? From my experience Virgin generally don't lock their devices - I've had a few different phones from them and they've never been network locked.

In Canada, Virgin Mobile is owned by Bell mobility, and these phones are locked. Without unlocking the phones the only sims which can be used, are those from Bell and Virgin.
Hi XDA,
I have purchased 2 of the SGH-T599 from tmobile for my parents who are on WIND mobile in Canada.
I wanted to unlock it for them to use in Canada, but the unlock codes are $25 or more.
Is there a known way to unlock this phone without an unlock code?

I have an offer from work to upgrade a modem line and get an S6, which I could drop my own AT&T SIM in. Unfortunately I'm with T-Mobile. I successfully have unlocked several other Samsung phones following instructions from XDA.. wondering if this will be possible with this device? I'd love to hear any thoughts on this.

Can you elaborate? I'm certainly speaking about a US Carrier lock, that is being able to use the device on another carrier besides AT&T. If It's an AT&T S6/S6 Edge, why would I attempt to/want to unlock the device, to then just use it on AT&T? I'm so confused.
Can anybody who have AT&T confirm this,i can't find it on Google or on XDA yet.I know some people's have AT&T Galaxy S6 already,does the bootloader lock? if it does i'm buying it from T-Mobile

I think you will have to buy the unlock code on the internet, do not try to apply any random numbers so it doesn't lock forever...

Where did you buy the unlock code?
This was a code for the AT&T s6 edge correct?
Yes for s6 edge AT&T g925A.. I bought in eBay, seller name unlock_depot.. 4 dollars..

If you bought your phone off contract you can just request the code from AT&T, that's what I did
Was your phone in contract when you purchased this code. Mine is in contract and would like to know if I will get the code from this seller?

I bought my device online from USA and it was AT&T, so all I did was I contacted AT&T on the unlocking portal website and I only provided the IMEI and they emailed the unlock code for free.
Note: it took them almost 10 hours to send me the free un lock code
to get your IMEI on your android device dial *#06#

Oh no!
I live in Brazil, and got my G925A in a regular electronics store in Paraguay, a year ago.
It was network unlocked, I was using it here in Brazil in TIM network...
Today, I rebboted the ohne and now it is network locked !
I have tryed AT&T site, provided my IMEI an then got this message:
"Looks like you haven't paid off your device yet. Follow these steps to pay off your installment plan. Then, wait 48 hours before you submit a new request."
What now???
