Hi!
So, i was checking Y6II because it have almost the same hardware than P8 Lite ALE...
The apps almost all work, now lets check the camera, nicefood and makeup options why P8 Lite ALE doesn´t have???
So i go to the libs and in found that is missing some libs in P8 Lite ALE and some libs seems the same but they aren´t! ( pictures bellow)
Makeup and nice food is not write inside some libs with the same name and size on P8 Lite!
You think [ lets just port to P8 Lite! ] ... The phone doens´t boot :crying:
Dilemma!
If any one with more knowledge then me want to "dive" into the subject this is how you can make windows search inside the lib files:
open windows search bar and write indexing options
opne it and go to advanced options
select file types tab
In add new extension write so
now select index properties and contents of the file
Hit ok
close
DONE!
Now in folder:
Tools
folder Options
search
select always look for file names and contents (it may take a few minutes)
apply
DONE
now when you search a word it will seek inside the lib files!
I hope this helps in porting funtions and get some ideas!
.
It won't boot because it is either missing files, or they aren't compatible with some files.
You can flash the Y6II ROM without any problems on the P8 Lite and it will work.

You need also other partitions.
Flash it by TWRP
I try boot and system and brick it saying that the boot was damaged...
Then i try y6ii boot but with p8 lite zram and bricks in splash screen...
Some how kernel is connected to system.
Only y6ii doesn't work with p8 lite boot.img...

You need to flash everything. Just try flashing it in TWRP. Just don't forget to flash recovery.img right after flashing the Y6II ROM.

I would guess it's related to Oeminfo. You can change the initial splash screen image. Its stores inside Oeminfo. Someone in this forum made a tool to replace that image.

A little bit of help needed...
Hi,
I basically did the same mistake as the other guys, unlocked the bootloader and installed twrp, all fine. Then I ***** up by trying to root fellowing a tuto made for the non-Che2-L11 ones.
I have no problem going into TWRP, the bootloader, or the black screen from huawei (witch looks like.. some kind of second recovery ?)
I managed to download the stock software from huawei ( Honor 4X Firmware (Che2-L11, Android5.1.1, EMUI3.1, C636B360, Malaysia)S.zip ) and also managed to download a version of HuaweiUpdateExtractor ( 0.9.9.5 ).
My problem now, is that if I understood correctly, I should extract the image files from the APP from the firmware zip I downloaded from Huawei.
Unfortunatly, there is no HuaweiUpdateExtractor profile for the honor 4x Che2-L11.
There I may need assistance, or guidance.
Does the profile already exists somewhere ?
How can I create my own, is it not too complex ?
Maybe someone already extracted thoses files and could make them available somewhere ?
Or maybe is there any other way to unbrick my phone ?
************************************
EDIT: Nevermind. I managed to extract the files without profiles. I flashed them 3 but nothing really changed.. So.. I'm kinda stuck. no Idea from here.
************************************
************************************
EDIT (of the edit) : Nevermind the previous nevermind ! It actually worked ! Well, kinda.. Seems my new "stock rom" is quite buggy, strangly, but nevertheless, it work Thanks
************************************
Thanks a lot.
Hello
Hello friend, i also have the same problem. My huawei honor 4x che2-l11 stuck on huawei logo i can not unbrick it. if you succsed so plz attach the file you extract to my email plzzzzz.

Since you have TWRP I guess you somehow deleted all the files ....
If you have a backup file (created with TWRP) you should be able to return to a previous state.
I had a problem intalling official builds, after installing a custom ROM.
You could try to install a custom ROM, like sokkoban's (very similar to the official one).

this is the link for sokkonban's ROM. This is for ALE L21 (Dual sim if I am not mistaken). He has made some other custom ROMS for other models. You can check them out if you want, but I suggest you use chrome with translate extension.
Good luck!!!

If you want to install a custom rom you can install it through twrp. If you want to install the official build (which is very messy with emui and I do not suggest that unless you get to the service center - or anyone else can provide a working guide) you must install a custom recovery.
In my opinion, you should install a custom rom (for instance Sokkoban's) in order to have an operational phone and then find a way to install the official build.

It's weird. Try to install TWRP 3.02 again.
Then try sokkoban's ROM (the one with SU preinstalled). As long as you have the european model (C432) it should work. You should be patient, it might need more than one tries.
An other option is to try setting it up from the beginning:
go to this thead and head over to chapter 5 and install the EU dual sim files.
Also do not forget, when in fastboot mode, you use the fastboot command, not adb.

I know something like this was asked before , but i've got confused and need help with that .
i have Chinese Dual sim version EVA - AL00 and i want to convert it to international dual sim version EVA-L19.
Is that possible ?
I've unlocked bootloader , i also found Software for L19 (all needed files : recovery, boot, userdata, firmware) . i even found Nougat (android 7.0) firwmare ..
So , can i cross flesh them ? and how can i do that?
L19 firmwares

http://www.gizrom.com/android-7-0-emui-5-0-huawei-p9-eva-l19-2/ (nougat files)
*#*#2846579#*#*
And then update from sdcard doesn't work!
use adb/fastboot to flash system, boot, cust and recovery image from L19 marshmallow and next flash with sd card method nougat update

Hmm , you did that before?
i mean in theory i understand it's possible and i did something similar to other brands (like htc m7) years ago , but don't really want to brick this one , because i really like it
anyway what's order ?
1) fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
2)fastboot flash boot boot.img
3) fastboot flash Userdata ?? (don't think i've ever used this one before)
4) fastboot flash system update.app
this one confuses me more then others, because there is only "update.app" and not system.img or something like that ...
Ok so i've bricked it , because fastboot flash system update.app didn't work because of error
"targed data reported max download size ..."
no i'm just waiting for huawei Erecovery to download file
Install Adb/Fastboot, download lastest Marshmallow ROM for L19, download and extract Huawei Extractor, extract update.app with Huawei Extractor(system, boot, recovery, cust image), connect phone to pc with enabled debugging and flash images with commands :
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot reboot
After flashing make factory reset.

Hi. When I click the links, it just stays on the loading screen.
I imagine if you at least have the huawei logo try to get to fastboot. Or there is twrp but device is not booting? If that so, just download latest full stock rom, copy to sdcard, in twrp make a normal wipe and install the zip.
But be sure that installing your stock rom back will remove your TWRP and root, at least that is what happens at an old P8 Lite.

Which CAM did you install? B197?
My experience with CAMs
+No special twrp, your TWRP_3.1.1-0_ALICE_BL.img work fine.
+Install zip file with TWRP
+Dont let start the device because first you have to root or you can flash boot.img pre-rooted, why? because you avoid encryptaction, root systemless change automaticlay the parameter "forceencrypt=footer" to "encryptable=footer".
+Then you can enjoy the EMUI 4.1.3
-boot screen, ... your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted... is really annoying
When I had P8 Lite I've flashed CAM EMUI's for testing purposes and had no problem with it + with P8 Lite TWRP. I could just make a clean wipe and flash any other ROM I'd like because the partition sizes were unchanged.
It was CAM-L21C432B197, twrp from p8 lite doesn't work it fails showing that recovery was damaged.

You have to try more times
At first time can be scary, but if you know how to handle soft-brick then you can enjoy it.
The problem to have a smooth return is because the partition "mmcblk0p4" is different in the both models, in the CAM is FRP and as you know in P8 lite we haven't it.
Unfortunaly we loose NFC, did you notice?

Hi!
I found a pretty cool way to release data from the apps!
It will auto send the apps to a ext4 partition that i create in sd card, no need to root or any other app to do it!
Another advantage is if the partition is not wiped when you do factory reset they will auto installed, but the first boot it will take a while...
Cool, no???
