Apps not updating while wireless charging - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I replaced my bedside charger with my Samsung wireless charger. Received a notification of 50+ apps needed updating.
Apparently it isnt updating like normal when plugged into ubsc charger. Anyone else run into this? If so, please point me in the correct direction.

[Q] "Fast Charging" and auto-rotation questions

Just got my S6 Edge from ATT here.
I've been hearing many accelerometer problems and some people say that it has to do with the quick/fast charging thing.
While everything's working with my phone, including the accelerometer and auto-rotation, I would like to just regularly charge my phone
if that makes any sense? (Just to be safe and sure)
Need some clarification I guess:
Is there a way to regularly charge the phone with just the default cable and charger?
Is there a way to disable the fast charging option?
Does it automatically start fast charging with the default wall charger?
Or is it the default usb cable that came in the box that enable the fast charging?
I guess I could just plug it in to my PC's USB slot but I think that would be slower in general than a wall charger.
So if anyone could shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it.
(P.S. I have not charged my phone at all since I got it a couple hours ago, waiting for it to drain completely and then charge)

[Q]Problems with samsung Qi Charger

Hi everyone
I bought myself two Samsung wireless chargers (double pack) and tried them with the original Samsung S6 edge quick charger, with my old Sgs2 charger cable and with a cheap no name charger cable.
With all setups I have the same problem: almost every night at some point the qi charger starts blinking an stops charging. Both of them do. I do not know if it has anything to do with receiving messages or high cpu loads (when syncing/backup apps kick in at night) but this is really annoying.
I am not using any case or anything. Pure S6 edge. Right side up.
Does anybody have any idea? I mean, shouldn't it work properly?
Mine does that too with my Note 5. When I take it off it keeps blinking blue until I disconnect the cable. Seems like those chargers are not that good.
The only way I can Wireless Charge mine is using the Fast Charger that came with it. Using any other charger in the QI charger does not seem to work.
I have the same problem, i'm using the wall charger and cable that came with my phone, same problem at some random point the wireless charger starts blinking and stops charging, i think the problem its in the cable cause i move the cable around a bit and starts charging again, the weird part it's that this does not happens when i charge the phone directly from the cable.
will be sending mine back. really poor product. unusual for samsung
no idea how this made number one qi charger on amazon. completely unreliable
I bought a qi charger from ebay and i had the same problem with you, while was charging was disconnected. Finally i use my s6 edge stock charger and cable i connected it with the chinese charger and all perfect.. I send message to ebay seller with this problem and his gave me back partial refund...
I'm solved that issue with a blackberry cable.
Using standard plug and cable for my qi charger and when I put my s6 edge on have no problems at all strange how some do and some don't get it
tried cheap chinese cable, tried original samsung slow charging cable and tried the original fast charging cable that came with the s6 edge. all showed the same behaviour. i bought the double pack so got two qi chargers and both behaved the same.
maybe it is a software thing?
whatever it is, it renders the wireless charging capability useless

Yea mine did that to so I purchased DreamQi Wireless Charging Dual Alarm Clock w/ Bluetooth by VoltNow and just let it charge overnight with no problems. Its not fast charging but my S6 edge charges from 0 to 100 in about 1.5 hours with no charging issues when I have a notification or its fully charged.
wireless charger
I tried the Samsung flat round wireless, didn't work most of the time, exchanged it for the Tylt slanted upright, works flawlessly every time.

Unable to charge wirelessly

My son's S6 Active recently stopped charging wirelessly. It used to work flawlessly with a Seneo 3 coil charger, but last week it just stopped charging. It can still be charged via Micro USB, so its not the end of the world, just frustrating.
Few details:
It does not suffer from the "wireless charging paused" issue where it will start and stop. It just never even starts charging wirelessly.
We have used several different wireless charging pads/stands with the the same result. All of these other wireless chargers will charge my stepson's S6 Active and my S7 Edge without any issue, so its not the chargers.
Even when the device is turned off it will not charge wirelessly, so I doubt it's a software issue that a factory reset would help.
I'm guessing this is all pointing to an internal hardware issue, but has anyone else even heard of this? Everything else on the device is fine, no other issues. Any thoughts?

Wireless/Reverse Wireless Charging Not Working

As title says wireless charging stopped working on my phone two months in. It went off for repair and, came back still not right. I've tried 15W wireless chargers still nothing and, every time I attempt a reverse wireless charge I get no joy. Has anyone else had this problem? Huawei customer care are trying to fob me off saying it's because, I'm not using a Huawei charging pad however this doesn't explain it working when I first got the phone before failing. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Anyone having wireless charging issues?

I only got my phone last week but I'm already seeing an issue where it will stop wireless charging. If I'm just using it for a while and then go to put it on the charger and it will not charge or indicate that it's charging. I have been keeping a simple Spigen case on it but that doesn't seem to matter - did the same thing case or no case. I also tried multiple wireless chargers - same on all of them. It's definitely aligned properly too.
I do have Battery Care turned on (custom, after 10pm) - but even when that is active it still shows that it's charging and everything functions as expected. And this has happened outside of those specified BC hours.
A restart seems to bring it back - but something is up given that it's happened a couple times already in less than a week. Anyone else seeing this?
I'm just waiting for it to happen again before reaching out to Support.
Follow up: it just did it again this evening.
I wanted to avoid restarting the phone just to see if I could get it working again. I tried a couple chargers again, no sign of charging at all. I went into Battery Care and turned it off - still no charging. I plugged a cable in to charge and it worked normally. I waited a couple minutes, removed the cable again and then tried a wireless charger again and it worked this time!
I'm leaving Battery Care off and have now restarted my phone again. Will see how it goes for the next couple days.
I also found this thread on Sony's forums: https://community.sony.ee/t5/xperia-1/xperia-1-ii-wireless-charging-stopped-working/td-p/3686459
I'm not sure he was having the same issue though, as it appeared his wireless chargers at least detected the device and tried to charge - they just couldn't establish the connection to do it. Though his solution did sound like it was the "custom" option in Battery Care that may be the culprit.
It did it again this morning. Plugging a wired charger got it to work again but I've emailed Support now. This is dumb. Will update with any additional troubleshooting or possible solution.

Multiple chargers. A 15W Anker charger, a 3 coil Ikea charger, a generic 10W charger at work, and a Pixel Stand. As it's happened I usually have multiple chargers around to test, so I've tried any of them available. Temperature hasn't appeared to matter. I definitely have not had the phone "hot" when trying it but I have also waited like a half hour or so to try it again thinking about potential temperature issues.
I also posted it to Reddit this morning on /r/sonyxperia and someone responded saying that there's a new update from Docomo that appears to call out a fix for wireless charging occasionally not working. So I'm hopeful that might be what I'm experiencing. Still waiting to hear something back from Support.

I use one from Belkin. https://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F7U083/
When I use the phone heavily and it's sort of hot it doesn't charge for a while. Once it's cold it works flawlessly. I have the US version, latest firmware. And an addition to that is my Spigen case.
only thing I noticed is that it is very picky about positioning, as it is a long phone it easy easy to miss place
I've got issue with an ikea wireless charger plugged to a Sony clock.
Issue fixed with an other cable from the clock to the charger.
Use quality cable like the stock Sony one.

I dropped mine on my wife's Samsung wireless charger, and it works.

Help...
Purchased on release day directly from Sony Store online.
No issues with wireless charging until a few days ago.
Will first initially register as charging, but after 5 seconds, will stop and pop up window will indicate that wireless charging cannot start.
This issue is with several wireless chargers.
No issue with direct charging.
Tried BatteryCare function off/on, but no change.
Any assistance in helping resolve this will be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE:
For some sort of strange reason, the wireless charging has corrected itself.
The issue has disappeared and functioning as designed.
Call myself "Lucky"
Hope this doesn't happen again.
