Hi fellows,
I bet that this request is a tough one. Does anyone know a way to unlock the bootlaoder of P10 without having to fully wipe the phone ?
As of now, impossible on any phone except for OnePlus One due to a bug.

Hello xda,
so I killed my EFS Partition on my last Moto X and had to send it in. That cost me 100€ but I got a new phone, with a locked bootloader. I confirmed this with 2 Motorola Chat Supports, but if you unlock your bootloader, they wont honor their warranty, even if its a hardware problem that was there from the beginning. So I'm kind of scared to unlock the bootloader again, but I really want root. Is there any way to root without unlocking? Thanks in advance !
Hello fellow nexus 6 owners
I've a question regarding the unlocking of the phone.
So if I root my phone and get screen issue's(Burn in) in the future will I get problems with a RMA if I have a unlocked bootloader ?
I have the phone for about 4 days now and haven't seen screen burn in as of yet so maybe I might get it at all
You just reflash and relock it first.
just flash back to factory images and relock the phone.
RE: Huawei's bootloader codes
Currently I have a stock non-rooted EVA-L19 which is currently out of warranty.
I'm planning on rooting it soon (I'm unable to download required files due to bad internet) and with the recent changes in Huawei's bootloader code requests, is it possible to generate the unlock bootloader code now then hold unto it till the day I decided to root the phone?

There is one and single bootloader code for unlocking and relocking. It is bound to your device ID, it has no timestamp or expiration day. Keep it on the safe place, once you get it, you can reuse it for unlocking/relocking/unlockung as many times as you want, whenever you want - for your particular phone.
Be aware, unlocking or relocking triggers hard reset with wiping Internal memory. For hard reset you must be on stock TOM, unrooted, with stock eRecovery - that is, if you ever want to relock (or want to initiate hard reset), you will have to unroot before that, return from custom ROM to stock, and re-flash stock eRecovery before relocking/hard resetting (otherwise you risk to brick the phone).
^ thanks for the reply. I thought unlock codes were generated randomly similar to keygens
I went ahead and generated the code.
I'm aware that unlocking the bootloader triggers the hard reset, learnt it the hard way on my nexus 7 2012 yrs ago -_-
Thanks!
Hy guys,
I have a question conderning my P9. I unlocked it some while ago and I don`t have the code any more.
Is there a way to relock it or to set it back to factory mode.
The Problem is that I am not able to install updates any more and I am somehow very unable to follow complicated instructions So something easy would be great.
up this post... similar issue i'm having.
Hi guys,
I wanted to ask 2 question about flashing, i havent done this since my old samsung days.
1 - Can i downgrade from miui 13 back to 12.5 and if so must i unlock the bootloader to do so?
2 - If i unlock the bootloader, is there anything i should be aware of, will i lose anything etc, like on old sonys unlocking bootloader would lead to loss of DRM ?
Thanks all, im new to Xiaomi so im just double checking things before making any decisions.

Unlocking bootloader will erase everything from internal storage, like a factory reset. You can downgrade MIUI without unlocking bootloader, just watch this video:
