Never activated Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 semi-bricked after phone apps removed

PLEASE NOTE the tab will not do a factory reset, when I try that it tells me it has successfully erased all the data but when I reboot it it still comes up with the same screens as described below
Got a new S2 8 inch from Sprint but couldn't remember my password so I never activated it ... it worked fine. Great. No activation fee, no monthly access charge, no running up excess minutes accidently.
Truth is all I ever wanted was a pure WiFi tab to replace a Nexus 9. I just bought from Sprint because they were having a sale. Without activation I had exactly the tablet I wanted.
Than I got greedy ... decided to streamline performance by tossing out all the superfluous phone apps and system stuff ... this seemed to work well to ... or at least it did before I rebooted the phone. Now I get a black screen with a flashing red message: Kernel is not SE Android enforcing. Custom binary blocked by FHP block.
All this is Greek to me, but that aside when I try to boot up I get one of two options depending on what hard key compos I hold. One is an endless download loop, the other is the standard Android mini recovery boot page. Of all the options, the seemingly easiest delete cache and restore default system doesn't work. The other potentially useful items .... update from file, update via download, etc. require an ADB connection to work. I have tried to establish an ADB connection using many different cables on both a Win 19 and a Win 7 PC ... in each case I get the dread "wouldn't open Code 10) message .... I have tried it with specific adb drivers and generic ones ... the results are always the same.
A fw other tips, the Android System Recovery LMY47x.T817PVPS2A0L1 screen says:. in yellow at the bottom of the screen, dm-verification failed ... update from ADB blocked and gives similar messages under"apply update from external storage, and and apply update from cache
Meanwhile, back at the downloading loop page we are told:
ODEN MODE
DOWNLOAD SPEED : FAST
PRODUCT NAME SM T817P
CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
FAP LOCK: ON
Secure Download: Enabled
Knox Warranty Void: ZERO
HP: SWHEV: B:2 K:8 S:0
So please, please, please does anyone have any idea what's going on here and how I can fix it ... would it, for example., be possible to reinstall the ROM and OS via a USB stick and OTR cable ... if so how would you do it .......
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Forgot to mention Samsung G6 phone connects to PC correctly through same cable ... Device Manager shows Code 10 message when nothing Android is connected to a USB port or when the S2 is connected does not show Code 10 and works perfectly when G6 is connected .... would it be possible to boot and restore the tablet via a USB stick and OTR cable? Thanks again
Hi, Guys, girls, men and women ... I'm not to proud to beg ... one of you must have an answer to this puzzle ... if you do and it works I'll use the my G6 to send you a video of me pushing a peanut around with my nose. Is there really no way to bot or restore this thing via a USB flash drive?
this seems like it could definitely help you
If you can boot into download mode (press volume down and home button as you power on the tablet. Continue holding the buttons down until you get the download warning message).
If successful, download the latest version of Odin to your computer. Also go to sammobile.com and search for your device in the firmware section. Download the appropriate firmware to your computer. You will also need the Samsung drivers for your device on your computer as well.
You should be able to flash it back to stock with Odin. There several threads on xda that give instructions on how to use Odin.

Galaxy Note 5, RP SWREV: B:4 K:0 S:1

Well... trying to help a friend because his Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920W8), according to him, got bricked. We tried samsung switch to fix error message saying "an error has occurred while updating the device software. use the emergency recovery function" , but unable have a connection with my windows 10 pc although usb device drive is recognize on device manager, samsung switch said it needs to have it on recovery mode. Only mode it can do is either downloading mode(odin) or the error showing as mentioned. Tried flashing with stock 7.0 (carrier unknown, MTA) via odin and have the phone on downloading mode with the AP check and clicking AP button with downloaded 7.0 FW, but failed, I did again and stuck on analysis, still failed. And again before doing it for the third time I noticed, on downloading mode screen showing:
ODIN MODE
DOWNLOAD SPEED: FAST
PRODUCT NAME:SM-N920W8
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
FAP LOCK: OFF
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0X0301)
RP SWREV: B:4 K:0 S:1
can anyone tell me what are these codes, and I got failed with my first trial an error in red text saying SW REV. CHECK, FAIL DEVICE: , BINARY 1.
any comments and suggestion will be appreciated. thanks.

Bricked Korean Note 5 (SM-N920L) in Europe. Any options other than trashing it?

I got a cheap Note 5 from Amazon.co.uk that was shipped from South Korea. It looked like a used/refurbished SM-N920L in pristine condition, which at the time I thought it was fine with the price. I've soon found out the battery was at the end of its life since it was rebooting when under heavy use around 50% in Sweden's cold, so I was considering going somewhere to change it. But summer came and I forgot about that, now with Autumn with one of these reboots it wouldn't turn on anymore, only showing Galaxy Note 5 on the screen. I can boot into Download Mode (power down + home + power buttons), but I cannot boot into recovery mode (power up + home + power buttons).
I tried to flash different versions of the original firmware with Odin on Windows but it stopped at the Initialization stage. Tried flashing twrp and same thing.
Installed adb and Android Studio in Linux to try anything with adb and fastboot but it won't list the device when it's connected in download mode, maybe because I never enabled debug tools while running the device. (?)
I went to the official Samsung Repair service here in Sweden and they said they don't fix non-European versions (why is the "hardware region locked"??), and only Korea's Samsung Service would repair it but of course they wouldn't ship it there. It's obviously outside Amazon's seller warranty options (it was 30 days only).
Are there any options of things I could try to revive the device? Or things I could do with it instead of trashing it?
I thought about forcing the back open (I don't have a suction cup) and trying to disconnect the battery, but I doubt that would do anything.

Tried different firmware versions, from different models even, different usb cable, different ports on multiple computers, all ways exactly the same.
I was thinking, if I do a NAND Erase and start from scratch, where would I get a PIT file for the firmware?

First please confirm if it's original handset bcoz I had seen lot of China fakes for the Samsung note 5.
Secondly I think you have to search hard for the Pit files if I had the link then I would have shared but I don't so try to check few videos on Samsung note 5 pit files in YouTube so that you get proper idea of whole thing.
Usually pit files are searched for locked device like example FRP LOCK etc.
I had done an FRP lock reset on SAMSUNG A5 bcoz of the FRP lock.

That's what I think might be the problem, when I get into download mode it has FRP LOCK: ON. But how do I disable FRP lock with only Download mode access?

You should have mentioned that frp is locked, as I said search in YouTube for how to disable frp. I'm sure you will find it there.
For that you will need combination files for your device to reset everything off which will take you back to lollipop. Once frp is disabled you will have to flash marshmallow & later on nougat stock firmware. You can thank me later on.

No dice. I had already googled about unlocking FRP but most results involve some APK while running the OS, or something on the OS. Or flashing something with Odin. But Odin always stops at the Initialization step.
It's a refurbished 920L from Korea, so they could have mix matched other pieces that are failing the device identification (when I unplug or reboot while on the Initialization Odin fails with "FAIL (DeviceInfo)"). Kies also doesn't recognize the device.
Is there a way to flash a firmware in a Note5 without Odin?
I tried adb on Linux but it also doesn't list the device.

I guess odin is the only way to do it.
Sounds like the NAND chip may have fried. May be a cause of the frequent reboots. Might also explain why you cant get to anything except download mode, since thats the only thing that isnt stored on the chip.

How did I successfully recovered my soft bricked Samsung phone along with data:
1. My phone was soft bricked while upgrading from Android 9 to Android 10. It was stuck at the SAMSUNG logo after booting.
2. Phone was having FRP LOCK & OEM LOCK both turned on (We can this info from restarting phone in recovery mode by pressing Power & Volume Up buttons)
- From info available on internet, I realised that if phone is FRP LOCK or OEM LOCK, then flashing it with TWRP is NOT recommended.
- So I decided to flash it with stock firmware only (A Stock ROM/Firmware is an official software that is designed by the manufacturer for a particular device)
3. To flash firmware using Odin, we first need to turn on the phone in download mode. Generally we can do this by starting phone by pressing Volume down + Power buttons
However, for some reasons my phone was not going in download mode (even after pressing those eyes). But it was going in recovery mode.
4. I used USB Jig to put the phone forcefully in download mode. (USB Jig is available on Amazon)
- Turned off phone using option provided in recovery mode
- Attach USB Jig
- Then press power button. Phone starts in download mode. Remove Jig quickly and attach USB cable and connect it to computer to flash it with Odin
5. Then I used Odin to flash stock firmware. In download mode, Odin detects the phone.
- In my case the phone was soft bricked because of the Android 10 upgrade. Hence I flashed it with Android9 firmware.
- Android9 stock firmware available here: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...e/SM-A605G/INS/download/A605GDXU6BSL1/310956/
- Important: Read all instructions carefully on the site above how to use Odin to flash. Especially remember: Use HOME_CSC_*** if you want to keep your apps and data. This is VERY important.
- Also, first add all those AP, BL, CP etc files to Odin & then connect phone (which is in download mode) via USB and then click on Start button in Odin to start flashing
- After flashing with Android 9 firmware, I disconnected the phone from PC and restarted. But it was still hanging at Samsung logo. It was frustrating.
- But then I again rebooted the phone and this time just connected to PC, then it took some time to get the Samsung logo but then whoaaaa... it started successfully I was able to see all the data
