[Q] How to Fix/Unbrick/Write my Note 3 AT&T

Ok need help badly, trying to recover my note 3, it is stuck at a Firmware Upgrade Error screen
It says:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N900A
CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0X0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0X0

Firware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.
Tried, Kies, and it will not recognize connect to my phone.
any help greatly appreciated

you need to get a windows only machine.... don't use virtual machines..... it will not work properly........ the usb will keep dropping.....

Long story short: my beautiful international version GT-I8910 has died on manual update of firmware. I have never tried to update to other rom's, custom or no custom, i never tried USB Debugging, recovery or anything else. The phone is stuck at : see picture 1, i am not able to get into recovery, in kies update i'm beeing asked for recovery code, only can acces Download Mode. I'v tried another stock rom from sammobile.com, i've tried every wipe etc. On Odin i got this error: see pic. 2. In Download Mode somewere in the left down corner i had "HW REV : 0x5""
Ooo..and Odin give my FAIL.see pic 3
Guys..i'm crying..please help...

are you flashing the correct firmware from sammobile, if not will fail, try a different usb port & make sure fone is recognised in "ID:COM" window & flash as pda

i'm flashing the correct rom...in odin it says Added...at sistem.img write give me Fail error... (
LE: 1) Is there a way to do a full system, app and file backup using adb commands? 2) Is it possible to enable USB Debugging via methods using adb commands?

Bring to the Samsung Service Center, and pay for it.

S6 edge t-Mobile Stuck in Bootloop SW Rev. CHECK FAIL DEVICE: 3 Binary 2.

I have tried to flash twrp, Stock Obin, and so on. My issues are this.
First, then phone boot loops and says " Custom Binary blocked by FAP Lock,
Go to flash a Stock file in Obin it errors out with SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE: 3 Binary: 2
When trying to Flash Twrp I get in green " Custom Binary(Recovery) Blocked by FAP LOCK "
I know the phone was supposed to be put int OEM Unlock but the phone was brought to me by a customer. Any way to get this phone to work once more?

You are correct, you needed to enable developer options in settings and then turn on OEM unlocking as well as USB debugging.
You can download Samsung Kies software and restore the phone to original firmware by entering model and s/n. Once you've restored the phone, enable those aforementioned items and start over.

How would i get Kies to see the phone? right now all i can do is get into download. Plus, i don't have the serial, no idea on how to get it when the phone is in a boot loop and can only get into Download Mode.

You'll need to be booted into Download mode to use Kies. I've done it at least half a dozen times on 4 different devices.

OK, but the issue is i don't have the serial number to the phone. Is there another way to get it?

You can get to the s/n by booting into Download mode and then I think it is HOME button once there.

Yes, that was it Thank you. I had to use Smart Switch instead of kies, kies no longer supports the S6 edge

I have a S6 flat. Kies will give you that message but eventually it should work. Glad u got it figured out.

just downloaded smart switch put my s6 into download mode and it says its unsupported. Tried kies and it says the same.
also i cant find the serial, im in download mode i pressed home and i dont get any serial please any help is appreciated.

When your in the menu before pressing up to confirm to get into download mode you hit the home button. It will show barcodes and the phones serial.

im freaking stuck in a softbrick, flashed a rom without reading the bootloader/baseband need to be flashed. So i go to odin make sure im on 3.10.6 and flash the modem, but when i go to flash the bootloader it fails each time. So I downloaded this firmware and it fails. I dont know what else to do im about to throw this S6 against the wall.

I'd be surprised if Kies or Smartswitch doesn't work provided you are entering the correct model and serial number.
My brother blew out the entire system on his Tmobile S6 and I used Kies to restore it to factory.

How to Unbrick S6?

Hi friends,
Please help to unbrick my phone after unsuccessful flashing to root. I used Odin3-v3.10.6 and CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.far.
I started downloading mode, connect phone with PC, Windows found new device and installed it. After start Odin, open tar file. Odin found device in COM port. Start flashing.Odin fill half 1st block and stop with error "no connection". Phone freeze with screen:
Odin mode
Product name: sm-g920f
Current binary: Samsung official
System status: official
Reactivation lock: on
Secure download: enabled
Knox warranty void: 0 (0x0000)
RP SWREV: B:5 K:2 S:2
Custom binary(RECOVERY) blocked by R/L
Phone do net respond anymore to button pressing or long pressing screen remains the same and on.
Please help!

Samsung Galaxy A6 plus bricked when upgrading to Android 10

My Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus phone failed to update Android system software. And now it doesnt boot. It stucks up forever at SAMSUNG logo after it boots.

How did I successfully recovered my soft bricked Samsung phone along with data:
1. My phone was soft bricked while upgrading from Android 9 to Android 10. It was stuck at the SAMSUNG logo after booting.
2. Phone was having FRP LOCK & OEM LOCK both turned on (We can this info from restarting phone in recovery mode by pressing Power & Volume Up buttons)
- From info available on internet, I realised that if phone is FRP LOCK or OEM LOCK, then flashing it with TWRP is NOT recommended.
- So I decided to flash it with stock firmware only (A Stock ROM/Firmware is an official software that is designed by the manufacturer for a particular device)
3. To flash firmware using Odin, we first need to turn on the phone in download mode. Generally we can do this by starting phone by pressing Volume down + Power buttons
However, for some reasons my phone was not going in download mode (even after pressing those eyes). But it was going in recovery mode.
4. I used USB Jig to put the phone forcefully in download mode. (USB Jig is available on Amazon)
- Turned off phone using option provided in recovery mode
- Attach USB Jig
- Then press power button. Phone starts in download mode. Remove Jig quickly and attach USB cable and connect it to computer to flash it with Odin
5. Then I used Odin to flash stock firmware. In download mode, Odin detects the phone.
- In my case the phone was soft bricked because of the Android 10 upgrade. Hence I flashed it with Android9 firmware.
- Android9 stock firmware available here: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...e/SM-A605G/INS/download/A605GDXU6BSL1/310956/
- Important: Read all instructions carefully on the site above how to use Odin to flash. Especially remember: Use HOME_CSC_*** if you want to keep your apps and data. This is VERY important.
- Also, first add all those AP, BL, CP etc files to Odin & then connect phone (which is in download mode) via USB and then click on Start button in Odin to start flashing
- After flashing with Android 9 firmware, I disconnected the phone from PC and restarted. But it was still hanging at Samsung logo. It was frustrating.
- But then I again rebooted the phone and this time just connected to PC, then it took some time to get the Samsung logo but then whoaaaa... it started successfully I was able to see all the data
