Hi there. Does anyone's P10 also get hot while in jeans pocket? Maybe some app is working when detecting movement? I disabled Huawei health completely as i wear a smartwatch, thought maybe it's counting steps. Wifi, mobile data is off, no facebook or messenger installed.

Hi,
I bought this phone a week ago and I like it very much, but I am having a little trouble with it about the way it communicates with Pebble.
I have B609 update and the problem is that when the screen is turned off there is no background connection with pebble apps. All the notifications pushed from the phone work fine, but when pebble calendar app or weather watchface wants to refresh data from a sleeping phone - it doesn´t work. Pebble app is allowed for location services and in the phone manager it is set to be prevented from getting killed in the background or when the screen is off.
Do you guys have any experience with this kind of trouble and how to solve it?
Thanks a lot for any help.
I really didn't know where to pitch this issue, but here's the problem:
Google fit has been working nicely for a long time on my GWR, but recently I installed a health app on the phone, and it required GF to be installed on the phone to pull the steps etc off it. However as soon as I installed it on the phone, fit on the watch stopped syncing to the GF server. It just refused, for days. I checked the web app, nothing there either. I uninstalled both, reinstalled, changed settings, tried everything really. Not just that - but when I turned on the body sensors option in the phone app, it just started using the phone's sensors, which is no good., I wanted it to read the watch's data. It just wouldn't have it.
Eventually I got the watch syncing again, but with a lot of messing about, and the phone app not installed.
Has anyone else got the same problems, or can shed any light of this perhaps? A quick scan online shows quite a few have had these sync issues over the last few years.
EDIT: Just looked at the history on both the watch and the web view, and the steps for most days completely differs between the two. That is if the watch app can be bothered to sync at all, sometimes patches of empty entries on the web view will eventually appear with data, sometimes several days later. Yet still be mismatched.
GWR: OS 7.1.1, AW 2.0 (2.8.0.182823779)
S8+: OS 7.0 (G955FXXU1AQL5)
I have a Pebble Classic smartwatch (I know, old, unsupported, and discontinued) and a Huawei Honor 6X. My Pebble watch is able to pair and receive notifications fine. After some time, it stops receiving notifications. Sometimes after 5 minutes or even an hour. It doesn't re-sync till I disconnect it via the Pebble app (or settings on the watch) and then reconnect it. After that, it begins the process over by staying in sync after some time then stops receiving notifications.
Also, a strange thing I notice is it syncs in the morning when I wake up just fine without having to do anything.
When it stops receiving notifications both devices say they're still paired.
I have tried forgetting the device and then reconnecting. I have checked that my Pebble app isn't in the lock-screen cleanup list for the Huawei management. The Pebble app has Permissions to notifications. I do have the persistent notification within the Pebble app enabled. This happened before the Pebble servers went down and even after switching to Rebble. I do have Google Wear OS installed. Should I try using GadgetBridge?
My brother has the exact same watch with his iOS device and it works flawlessly.
Phone: Huawei Honor 6x Android 7.0
Pebble: v3.12.3
Is there something happening with the phones Bluetooth connection? Is it the Android operating system putting the app into sleep or something. Is it going into power save mode or something? If rooting my phone will provide a fix I am willing to do so.

You can try to exclude the app from androids Power saving. Also gadgetbridge can be tested(I'm using it with my PTS).
I tried gadget bridge and that does the same thing. Also I have it removed from my power management, nothing. I downloaded an app that supposedly keeps the Bluetooth alive. I'll give that a go.
I found a workaround.
I installed an app called BluetoothKeepActive and that seemed to fix the problem. It seems that my presumption was correct. The Bluetooth is going into standby mode or power management mode or something.

Seems to be an kernel issue of your phone imo.
Hello everyone
I have a problem with my P10 Lite. Once the phone is plugged in to the charger google play automatically updates app, which is fine, however the screen always lights up once the app installs. On other phones e.g P20 Lite google play does this in the background. It is quite annoying when I'm in bed trying to sleep and suddenly the screen turns on and off constantly as apps update.
Does anyone else have this problem and know of a fix?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Lay your phone screen side down. ?

Super great answer :good::crying:
Doesn't fix the root of the problem though..
You're here in the P10 forums, please post into the P10 Lite forums.
You can try to disable the notifications for Play Store for testing if this issue is produced by the notifications.
Whenever i plugin my s21 ultra to my kia seltos for android auto ,
Even on idle without the music playing / navigation the phone heats up like crazy .
I have tried resetting the infotainment on my car as well as the android auto app on my s21 ultra but nothing gets better .
Anyone can help out ?
It heats for me FWIW...I was initially fascinated by android auto but considering the damage it does to the battery I seldom use it...
I don't find mine heating up more when using AA, but I use it wirelessly. Now, my headunit is an Android powered one, so we're comparing apples to oranges, but on on the phone it should be the same.
What I don't like is that lately AA started to control the headunit beyond what it used to : turns on BT and WiFi all the time, because the headunit stays in low power mode for a while after turning off the engine, I find myself at home getting calls and audio gets routed to the car despite me being inside.
I gave up on it....

I have yet to test it out however will do so . I did check on play and they have a beta programme which is currently full. Maybe use a service like APKMirror to try the beta? See if that fixes your issues
Try clearing system cache.
Disable all power management... destroyer of worlds.
Try using the factory load version of the apps causing trouble.
Parent apks, dependencies... the apk causing the trouble may not be the obvious one
Check memory and individual battery usage to help isolate the apks causing trouble.
