I mistakenly updated the update-kindle-10.1.3_D026_1326620 (update for Kindle Fire 2), into the Kindle Fire HD. I stuck at the lock screen page when it start up. The touch screen is unresponsive but the power button and volume button is still function. When starting up, it will first show a vertical "kindle fire" logo, after a while it changed to horizontal "kindle fire" logo. Then it turned to the a horizontal lock screen.
Is there anyone can help to solve this problem? I can't factory default or update to the correct firmware at all as the ADB is not turned on in the settings.
PLEASE HELP........
Your ****ed return it

I see some similar threads in this forum but nothing that was suggested helps, so I thought I'd create a new question:
I got a kindle fire X43Z60 that is stuck at boot. I was told it had a problem with the charging port that needed to be replaced. I'm assuming after a while a lot of jiggling was needed to charge it and even that stopped working after a while.
I purchased a main board off of ebay, the board was described as from a broken kindle and but was tested and was in working condition. I replaced the old board with the new one but the symptoms are exactly the same. Then I bought a replacement battery off ebay, but new battery did not help either.
I don't have the original charger for the kindle but have multiple micro USB chargers and I assume one of them would work (from Galaxy S4, original nook, others).
The way it looks (with new and old, battery and main board), is that when I press the power button initial "kindle fire" shows up and then disappears. When I press and hold the power button, the "kindle fire" logo disappears, I let the button go, then the logo appears again, disappears for a second and it appears again but now there's this graphical effect rolling over the logo as if it was booting up. At some point after it just powers off abruptly. Occasionally I'm able to boot it up all the way using that method and it would stay on for a minute until a message would appear "are you sure you want to power down" and it would power down without me having a chance to respond. It kind of looks like the battery is drained. When I do boot it up all the way the battery indicator shows it as not nearly drained.
When I hook the kindle up to a PC using USB cable, the initial kindle fire logo just appears and disappears in a loop. I dont see the kindle being visible to the PC.
What else can i try to fix it?
Is there nobody that knows solution to this, or at least give me a hint where to look?

You could simply google it
I think you have to call Amazon's Customer Service.
Hi, I could use any help or advice you guys might have to offer, the problem (at first) seemed to be just a bootloop - I am able to get the device to boot by connecting the device to the computer then disconnecting and reconnecting the kindle battery ( usually works 1 in 7 times ) .. I have tried a factory reset through the device menu which completes without issues but once the power button is pressed (tapped or held) the device freezes and then starts the bootloop again. I have been able to use adb to get the device into the recovery menu but trying to recover this way starts the boot loop again, possibly because the power button has to be pressed to confirm the option.
edit: forgot to mention that when the power button is tapped it asks if I want to power off - it doesn't just turn the screen off (I'm not sure if this is normal or not)
I'm unsure what to do at this stage, so any advice would be gratefully welcome.
helpful info:
kindle fire hd 7 (4th gen)

I have been having problems opening my device for months now because the power button isn't working anymore for me. So when I open my Kindle I just usually plug the charger. Then one day, I don't know what happened, when I opened my device it was so slow and the launcher (original) is always not responding. So when I finally manage to go to Settings > Device > Restore Factory settings... my account was deregistered and I waited for it to reboot. When it did, it was the same. I didn't think that the Reset settings I did, worked. My power button is broken, right? So what I did next, I opened the back case of the device and tried to push the power button with a pin, then all of a sudden it restarted and ended up being stuck with the Kindle Fire logo. Anyone could help me with this problem? I'm still hoping that it could still be fixed. Please reply, any help would be much appreciated. (My KFHD is the first gen btw)
and I couldn't reboot again the device, it's still stuck with the logo
I had trouble with my Fire tablet running very slow after adding Google play store support via Fire Toolbox. It worked fine for awhile and then slowed way down. I had the same experience a while back after side loading the Google play store. which was fixed with by resetting to factory settings.
When starting up the login screen would show up and not allow touch input. Most of the time the start screen seemed to restart one or more times before I could get the number pad to show up. Then it would take forever to get to the main screen. The device responded slowly and if I started an app it would often drop back to the login screen.
I tried to do another factory reset and it would not work. The screen would get to the Fire logo with the flashing red lights and not go further. Left it on overnight and now it will not power up at all. Dark scree and no response.
Is there any way to get past the dead screen and possibly reboot it?
