NFC / Google wallet (4.3) issues...

Hey everybody ! I'm a regular user of Google wallet and since the android update to 4.3 I'm unable to utilize the apk.
I've tried with stock rooted and with custom rom but to no luck
I'm trying at a McDonald's location that I know works based on the fact that I've used it many times in the past. At least prior to the update.
Had anyone been able to use Google wallet since the 4.3 update?
Edit: I'm using an ota based rom

Interesting. I had no issue setting it up or enabling tap-to-pay, but I haven't actually tested it yet. I'm sure the custom ROM wouldn't work if it was anything besides Sense based, but I'm not 100 on Sense based custom ROMs. I'll test it out this evening when I swing by PetCo.

What rom are you using please?

Have the same problem as OP. Tried it Stock rooted and BadBoy which im currently running. Both no go. Setup was fine, but when i try paying with it, nothing happens. And yes, my NFC was on and had a stable LTE connection.

No issues for me. I even got used as a training experience for a new PetCo employee. Apparently they'd been waiting on me coming back in so they could show them how to handle NFC payments. I'm not sure how I feel about being that well known at PetCo for using Google Wallet.

Tried Google Wallet at CVS Pharmacy and Best Buy both times the transaction was declined even though I wasn't close to my max credit line or on my debit card.

I've had issues since the update to the Google Wallet app. Not sure it's 4.3 the problem. But I'm getting a transaction declined when I use it. But I know it has nothing to do with my limit being reached because I always endup paying with the actual card.

@rougegoat & @Deathsnuggle was your use while on the new 4.3 rom or something else?
My experience is nothing happens. No vibration (which normally happens when you place phone on nfc placard to pay)
no denied (because it doesn't connect or communicate)
and after trying to communicate with my wife's phone (HTC evo 4g lte) which normally at least vibrates to acknowledge something's attempting to communicate, nothing happens there either (which used to before the update)
And just to clarify I did the radio update, firmware update, recovery update, then rom (android 4.3 w/sense 5)

I'm on omjs bad boys rom. Did you guys do full wipes? I cleared cache, dalvk cache, system, and data about three times. Everything's working from first flash.

I wiped everything. Coming from 4.1 I wanted a fresh slate. Haven't even transferred my music and pictures back yet. I haven't tried badboyz rom yet though.

Stock 4.3 + root.

Stock 4.3, root, s-off. I had a few issues the first day, but have had no issues since. But I really don't like that they set the password requirement to once a day as the default.

Ok I wanted to post that I found out what was causing MY problem... I was using exposed framework. I'm NOT SAYING that it breaks nfc but some combination I had going was causing my issue.
I installed my rom again without exposed and it works again.

I had a feeling it was related to this, but I love toolbox too much. What module were you using?

Well interestingly enough, the nfc function works with the android beam but my Google wallet apk isn't functioning.
Looks like back to the drawing board.

Yea I full wiped the other day and didn't install anything EXCEPT Google Wallet and couldn't get it to work. Wallet says tap and pay is setup correctly, but can never authorize a transaction even though my phone beeps and vibrates when it makes a connection with our vending machine. I'm on Badboyz, which is pretty close to stock.

I get the beep and buzz with android beam but nothing with Google wallet. I need to try another store. I keep trying the same McDonald's. Lol. Maybe I'll goto Starbucks and buy a muffin later. Their coffee taste horrible.

They just pushed another update to wallet yesterday, maybe it contains bugfixes.

Headphone Jack stops outputting device music, not Pandora

Hey everyone, I have had this perplexing issue with my phone and wondered if any of you had input.
Pandora works fine song after song over bluetooth and headphone jack.
When I try to play music from my SD card via the built in music app or play music. Sometimes it won't output anything via the headphone jack, other times it will play one song and when it finishes (or I hit next) it will show time progressing and it playing with no sound output. This doesn't happen over bluetooth though.
I'm rooted with some minor xposed mods (activity force new task, and sense 6 toolbox)
Any ideas what could cause this?

Phone model? Launch or H/K? ROM? Firmware Version?

Sprint M8. Bought about a month ago. Not H/K. Stock ROM. Firmware 1.54.651.8
Just some xposed mods, LTE tether script. Few unrelated apps (Facebook etc.) with auto start services disabled.

Update to firmware 1.54.651.9 should fix the problem

Is there anywhere that outlines that process fairly well? I'm new to the HTC realm of things and I don't want to lose all my data.
I have just found nandroid backups but it is unclear if data is affected or not, though it sounds like rerooting is necessary.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173 this forum has it on the Op all you do is rename the zip and put in the root of your external sd card boot to bootloader and it'll flash, nothing will be erased it just updates radio and a a few other things, welcome to HTC land
Edit: it just updates firmware nothing with your current ROM will be affected, unless you have a .8 only ROM no need to reroot

This problem has come back to me again for both the headphone jack and internal speakers.
Pandora and Bluetooth still work fine. I'm on the latest firmware version.

Installed the adsp patch and that didn't seem to work. Reinstalled the latest firmware then the patch and now it seems to be working *fingers crossed *

Galaxy Camera 2 Keeps losing Google Settings

Love my new galaxy camera 2 but I have a strange issue the camera keeps signing out of Google so I lose all my contacts and calendar plus have to sign back in to use the play store
It has done this twice now anyone else having this issue and if so how do I stop the camera from doing it ?

Same thing here. Happens 4 times so far. And any time it happens, it starts to reinstall a lot of apps of other devices I don't need in the camera. Really annoying. Hope Samsung will fix the bug asap.

I have returned mine to where I bought it as it is not acceptable
I looked at the k zoom and to be honest I think I'm gonna go away from a camera / phone and stick with my dslr
Not much of an improvement over the original samsung camera such a. Shame

Mine loses my Google account every 1-3 days. Once it stayed for a week!
Annoying that I have to keep going into the Settings/Accounts and re-add it. It is the only account that gets 'lost'. I have Dropbox and Samsung account on the camera since day one and they are still there.
Oddly enough, I have not heard any other discussions of this other than here; that I am glad I found.

It's weird how settings all of a sudden get removed ?

Exactly.
I did manage to find several other folks on Android Central.com forums that report the very same issue.
No answers though.

Ended up buying another galaxy 2 amazon is a German version (they did refund me £68 when I complained) and I can confirm the German one does the same this is DBT VERSION not BTU so it is definitely a firmware issue

Might have solved the issue it seems that Facebook is causing the issue - I've removed Facebook app and haven't had one single issue with Google logging out .. can anyone experiencing the issue confirm that this is a sort of a fix until Samsung issue a patch

It keeps forgetting my google account even without Facebook app... In fact when I first got it I entered the data, it all worked; went on vacation, when I got there, I had to enter it again. 8 consecutive times. Then it remembered. Until today... Contacted Samsung support, let's see what they say.

I'm in the same position. Even without FB I keep losing my Google data. Please feed back on what Samsung support say!

I never have had FB app installed yet have this issue.

Via a tech chat session, a Samsung support tech told me to force stop and clear data/cache on the Google Account Manager app. Seemed like a reasonable solution, but it didn't work/last overnight. What was interesting is that there was literally no delay in the chat when I posted the problem and the tech offered that solution. Clearly, they are aware of the issue. Now they just need to solve it.

I think I've discovered a work-around solution -- I turned off the Fast power-on feature (Settings/More/Power/Fast Power-on). I haven't haven't had the Google account disappear nor the wallpaper (which usually happens at the same time) in almost 48 hours. Of course, the caveat to that is that is that it can take longer to startup your camera after it's been idle for a while, but you can resolve that issue by increasing the auto power off from the default 1 hour to something more when you're going to be using the camera more frequently.

Same issue here, i am reflashing the rom and i will check off the fast power on if fix it.

Well, it's been about two weeks since I disabled the fast power-on feature and I've lost my Google settings only once during that time, so it appears to help.

Icon not going away

Anyone else on 5.1.1 having an issue with the spen icon in not going away after you put the pen back in? Also the headphones icon doesn't go away when J disconnect headphones.

After messing around with 2 T3 phones, I am thinking it is developer options. If you unhide the developer options, for some reason, it is messing up with notifications. I went into the settings and into all apps and cleared the data in the settings app and haven't experienced it again. Thought what I had was a bad firmware download, but it seems to be the developer options after convincing T-Mobile to send me a new phone.

Just had this happen for the first time this evening (phone is only a couple days old). Rebooted it and it went away.

It's a stock 5.1.1 bug. Nothing big

Another bug I've noticed is that sometimes Google play music and a few other apps will randomly start up after unlocking the screen

Anybody know any good apps to dl music? I use to use a couple different ones but they all seem to suck now. Frostwire use to be good. Anybody have any recommendations? Tia.

I got this downloading app from the android Play Store a while ago and they have since removed it about 1-1.5 years ago. It's pretty good at locating mp3s and so far have seen it is the most efficient way at finding music on the go instead of searching in google. Since then i kept the APK backup. Enjoy!

I use Deezer to listen to albums offline, but it doesn't allow you to save items in a standard file format (I'm guessing due to piracy concerns).
