Where do you get these from since the S7 edge thread seems to be getting smaller and less active with everyone getting new phones?

1) Root it and use Titanium Backup like always. The downside is that the eng-boot has some performance issues.
2) There are a couple of package disablers that still work, but they are both paid now, and you still can't disable certain services.
3) Run the U firmware to get rid of about 90% of the bloat, with the remainder being either capable of being disabled, or fairly harmless. You do lose any AT&T specific features, though.

Are you sure you're not using the unlocked firmware? If you are, you have to use a special version of Odin. Download it here: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591023225177749
You shouldn't have that error anymore ?

do you have the files for g935aucs4bra1

My name is Fabian A.S.
I send this message to inform you that I need an update, it is the security patch of November 2017, what happens that the link expired and then if you could give me another would be very helpful. Beforehand thank you very much.

download?
Does anyone have the download for G935AUCU4BQK2?

SM-N9200 HK version root?

Hey guys, do any of you know if we have root already for this version for Note5?
I found this the other day:
http://apk.tw/thread-706898-1-1.html
But... I don't speak Chinese and I don't know that website so I'm not risking it. Would love to get a root on my HK SM-N9200 as well.

Thanks bro. I don't think I will risk it either. There are also no comments there that confirm that it works...
At the moment I don't have a real reason to root, but i'm sure I'll need it in the future. Hopefully we will have it soon.
Good luck!

Since you have the N9200 as well, could you do me a massive favor? I'm really dissatisfied with the scrolling behavior on mine. I've made a thread about it in the General section.
Could you let me know what software version you are on? Have updated to the latest one (N9200ZHU1AOI1)? But most importantly: do you notice stuttering behaviour in scrolling through apps like Google Play store, Youtube, Facebook etc...?
You can capture the behavior by following the steps described in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/note-5-scrolling-behaviour-t3195672.
Thanks in advance!

No problem, I'll try to get to it as soon as I get home, Going to Uni now.
Though I must say that I dont really use those apps because I live In china. If I use them I have to open Astrill VPN. I just Tried it with facebook, and it seems pretty smooth, except when it loads new content because of Chinas great firewall.
(Im also on the new version, but today I tried the "Package debloat" app from the Q&A section and disabled 150 or so apps)
So does anyone found any clue for N9200 root (OI1 firm) ???
Still no :\
@Seven Winds @tisfo @Willyman just got my device, im on it.
got twrp so far..
roots next..
then arter's kernel with dual sim intact..
Edit:
current progress and planned
unlock bootloader
install twrp
backup everything
reboot
notice GAPPS get removed when you unlock
verify my knox container still works (says KNOX has been locked contact your IT admin need to change lock type)
flash stock n9200 kernel with ',verify' removed (aka allows system to be mounted and modified, without this change a kernel cant boot a rooted system)
reboot and verify knox container still works (same message)
flash gapps reboot and verify
flashing back gapps didnt restore everything i was missing (looked like every app i downloaded from play store was also removed), so i reflashed the stock system i pulled out of odin tarball
restoring data
Damn im glad I backedup everything as soon as I got recovery, first boot after unlocked BTloader, it was next reboot that it deleted all my data ( so after reinstalling stock system and restoring my data, everything is back to how it was)
*** im here ***
twrp su root
reboot and verify knox container still works
flash arter kernel that I merged n9200 sources for dual sim support
reboot and test
(ii know knox wont work with any other customer kernel (i really want knox workspace with custom roms and plan on making it work)
Thank you gundal for your hard work!
I am using n9200 HK version. And I rooted my note 5 already!
Thanks for my friend in China, he helped me a lot and everything works fine.
I also installed xposed framework in my note 5.
Can you please share links to the files you've used? I tried to install twrp via Odin and I'm getting error RQT_Close and the phone writes something in chinese in the download mode.
Any customer ROM for dual sim yet?

Hi, and thanks for asking! OTA update downloads should go to the system/cache folder. Once the update is downloaded, can you check using a file explorer and copy the file?

...I have access to 2 g890a's right now, in differing states of update, and neither even Has a system/cache folder.
You may not see it with your regular file browser because the phone is not rooted. However an app called "Root browser" (it's free in the Market) will get you through most files (you do not need to be rooted for it to work, though it becomes more powerful if you are). I use that frequently without root access.
I'm not noticing a difference with anything on this update.

Hello Friend,
It's really simple , before , you must install kies; in ODIN just place the files :
AP = AP_XXXXXXX
BL = BL_XXXXXXX
CP = CP_XXXXXXX
CSC = CSC_XXXXXXX
Enter in Download Mode. Turn off your device and then press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously for 2-3 seconds; in ODIN Click Start, without touching anything more.
phone says: secure check fail : (pit)
when flashing ( if i flash an older version it says that the device is 4 and the binary is 3 )
Can you upload the files to other server? Because I cant donwload the big file (1.7GB) beacuase the free limit its like 1.1GB and the file doesnt donwload complete, I will really appreciate, thanks!

Stock Firmware for SM-935A (AT&T) ***UPDATED 7-8-2016***

For those of you wanting the recovery file for AT&T either because your phone has stopped working while rooting or just to keep yourself covered, here you go. Credit to @br3w3r as he spent a lot of time last night helping me get this done when my phone stopped working.
YOU MUST USE THE ODIN FILE LINKED HERE. ANY OTHER WILL NOT WORK.
Trying to use any other will result in a model mismatch failure.
Download the June firmware here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688242
Necessary version of Odin - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688248
Credit to @Venom0642 for the updated links!
Standard process. Open Odin, put your phone in download mode, select the firmware as AP, hit start and let Odin do it’s thing. Saved my bacon when I got stuck with an issue last night.
very much appreciated, i couldnt update due to being on a different carrier then at&t. Im still on the original firmware when the phone came out.

Yeah, my bank isn't fond of these types of payment methods either. And honestly, pulling out my phone is no easier than pulling out my wallet. And my wallet won't shatter if I drop it fumbling around. Either way, same amount of steps. It's a cool novelty but that's about it (to me personally). But if anyone does test it, I'll definitely update the post to say definitively one way or the other for those who love Samsung Pay.

I would wait for someone to post one specific to the 930A. This is for the 935A and as far as I know they're not interchangeable. So I would wait for a post on the 930A (which I'll do if I find firmware for one and someone verifies it works), or wait for someone to verify this worked on theirs.

I think he means after flashing back to this firmware. I have seen other users posting that it seems to result in Samsung Pay working but haven't seen anyone claiming to have actually used it. I'll update the OP once someone states they got it to function at a store after flashing back to stock.
So far, having root for certain disables it unless @sy7hf7tgtgrf found a method that no one else has yet.

Haven't tested at a store yet but will try to soon. I am on the stock firmware you uploaded so no root here.
I've noticed that somethings aren't fully working correctly though.
A lot of AT&T's modifications seem to be missing.
For one I can't really setup my Visual Voicemail now, and some sections in device settings are a bit different.
Pretty sure all is fine though.

It actually had the opposite effect for me funnily enough on VVM. I never was able to get it working after buying the phone and it was a pleasant surprise to find it working on this firmware. It had always given me an error about contacting AT&T because it seemed my plan didn't support it (though it did). Never followed up though as I very rarely use the phone for calls. Also was happy to see a toggle for LTE was added instead of having to dig in the settings to turn it on or off! All the stock AT&T apps seem to be there for me, though I'm not sure on the modifications. It's noticeably faster in Geekbench than it was the day I bought it, which leads me to believe maybe this is indeed stock, but before AT&T messed with it much. I hope you can get VVM working. But do keep us posted on the results of Samsung Pay in store!
MUST use the files linked. Saved my A$$ so listen to him...hahaha!
BTW, I successfully installed G935U roms on G935A.

BTW, I successfully installed G935U roms on G935A.
It is so much cleaner with no ATT bloatware and much fewer samsung bloatwares.

Can I flash this to my unlocked ATT Note 9, want to change it to the U1 version regardless of what Samsung has coming...
Got the OTA today and the size is 1.6 GB, whereas, the download here is close to 4 GB. Why the difference?
