I had the same issue, only charging. But then I try to clean microusb with alcohol then otg work and computer recognize it. But charging is slow with original charger. I was mad so few days later I clean it again with alcohol now everything is working normal . Yeah try to clean with alcohol it might work. Be be gentle with it don't break the pin then you're screwed.

[SOLVED] USB Sync/charge cable confused by phone with a TV OUT??

Hello,
Recently, whenever I plug my HTC Fuse into my laptop, the "Video Out" selection screen will appear on the phone and the display will turn into landscape. Opening/closing the keyboard with or without the USB cable removed will not change it back to portrait .. the only way is to go into settings and change it back, or soft reset the phone.
I also rebooted the PC , and the phone .. the problem still occurs. Any idea why my USB cable is being confused as a TV OUT? It didnt happen all the time with this cable, it is a new problem. It is really frustrating to have teo switch back to portriat after plugging my phone in , every time.
I will try another cable on Monday, I have to fetch my other one from work. Maybe the pins are somehow crossed? It does sync and charge perfectly fine. Also, I am using an older Energy ROM, and I will upgrade soon but dont have the time right now. I am hoping this is just a software issue and not hardware.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. (I wasn't able to find any threads that discuss this problem in my searching.)
welll ...thanks for all your help guys
Anyway I was able to determine it was just the cable, as another cable worked fine. Did some research which indicates you have to remove a pin from a USB cable in order for the phone to recongize it as a TV out .. so I cleaned all the pins in the USB cable I have, very carefully .. and now it is no longer prompting as a video cable.
Now I am upgrading my rom

please is there anything i can do my phone cannot work beyonf the startup samsung logo
would really appreciate some expert advice. i don't know how to repair it all i know is software. any ideas and what could be wrong!!!
Try a different ROM if you can boot into recovery and if you're rooted. But there seems to be a problem with the USB port. I guess you'll have to clean it with alcohol strips or replace it soon.

I'm seeing where i can get the charging port but do u know where i can source the motherboard if necessary just weighing my options right now
thanx a lot tho
You can buy the stuff on ebay. And i guess the replacement of USB port will do it, don't change motherboard or other stuff. And mate don't say thanks, click it!!!
my daughter's Note 7000 was not charging properly, it cost me GB£4.00 for the small circuit board which has the USB connector on it, and it was very easy to replace it, as shown in this video which I found on youtube:

Recently I paid nearly USD 80,00 for doing the same repair. Sadly, Android shows the device as charging, but in truth it's not charging at all.

[Q] usb host mode error

I've searched and tried everything.. can't get my phone out of. Host mode... Some times it randomly works but then goes back.. I've wiped tried New rims.. nothing seems to work..
I can't put it back to stock if ish doesn't work either do I doubt they will cover the warranty..
Help? <3
Computer? USB Cable? USB Port? Drivers?
It detects everything in fastboot.. all drivers are installed.. it was working before a nd randomly dif this.
As I menioned in other threads I'm convinced that is either dirt or rust in the charge port. My HD2 died that way.and it was well documented that the problem was the charge port.
You can try a tookpick in the port to try to get dirt out but if it's rust I don't know...
I tried the toothick on mine and got some crap out, I also tried contact cleaner and didn't help either. My error is solid not random like yours I can only charge on wall charger.
I looked into the port with a magnifier and I can see some discoloration in one of the contacts but I don't want to try anything more radical at this moment because I cannot afford to be without phone.
Once I get past these couple of months I'll try to replace the charging port (fingers crossed it'll last that long...)
This is what I'm talking about...
The pics are not great but you can see the blueish spot there on the second to the left contact.
I'll try to clean the port later and report back

[PRA-LX1] no USB detection on any computer

Hi everyone,
I am running out of solutions for my LX1. It is currently running PRA-LX1C432B210, and I am unable to:
Boot fastboot
Detect it with a computer, in any mode (MTP, PTP...)
Use it with Hisuite (the phone is not detected)
I am able to boot to recovery, but it is the Huawei stock, and I can't do much with it. It would not be that bad, if the phone was working properly, but it can't seem to get a good signal anywhere (I'm using an Orange SIM card in France).
This phone is driving me mad... Any idea?
Thanks in advance!
Have you tried another usb cable ? Motherboard can be cause of these problems . Sorry for my bad english

Not any problem whatsoever to charge it, but for the benefit of the doubt I ordered a new daughter board to see if it is faulty. It cost me a few €, not a big deal.
Will keep you updated

"Can't play audio through adapter" notification when charging

Hello,
since a few days I get the message ""Can't play audio through adapter" from the android system when I plug in my charger. That's really annoying
The only way to get rid of this notification is to unplug the charger an restart the phone.
I never used a usb-c audio adapter, I cleaned the USB port & I tried different charger & cables.
The only thing I've changed the last time was to connect bluetooth headphones
Who can help with with this?

it is your USB-C Port , it is getting mixed signals (some pins are touching due to dust or damage), try cleaning it well with a touth brush , be gentle though. (dont use metalic objects to clean , nor use force , you will damage it )

You sure? I think its a software issue. It always happens when i remove the charger.
I tried removing the charger without electricity to be on and the error didnt appear.
I noticed that a USB connection to my computer does not work anymore. Also the selection of the connection type does not appear any more.
Has anyone tested if a reset to factory defaults helps?
I hope that it is not a hardware failure.

This was also my first idea, but I have cleaned it several times. It looks clean and not damaged. No dust or something else is inside.
What somehow indicates a software error is that even after disconnecting the cable the error message cannot be deleted...
I have the same probleme, only since today.
Whene I unplug the charge cable that notification appears. And its impossible to clear it. I have tried with different cables and always the same. Only one time when I connect to pc and disconnect, theres no notification. I have noticed tha the data conection with pc is unstable; depending of the position of the cable it works or not.
Firstly I think it was a software probleme, but now i think is hardware. The usb-c connector is damaged.
This week Ill try to use the oficial xiaomi warranty and tell you what they say me
The last thing i did was a factory reset - also without success.
I have now sent the device for repair under warranty.
Ok, please tell us when you have news of this
Had same problem. It is a hardware issue. The message used to appear when I removed charge cable, so I needed to reset and it was gone... But it would appears
again after a while.
Connection with pc was really unstable too. In the processe to fix it, I almost bricked the phone trying to flash stock rom through "mi flash tool", it always got "disconnected" before flashing process ends.
Need to change usb port: https://a.aliexpress.com/_msMZGNj
Got my phone back. It was a hardware issue. Something was replaced, now it's working fine again.

same problem with my poco x3 india version ..
I had the same problem with that message being permanently there but now it's sorted.
It only came up after I was in heavy rain but the phone did not get wet (or so I thought)
I used a hair dryer up the USB-C port and the message disappeared without any reboot, must of got damp or something.
Hope this helps
