For some odd reason, App Locale is not working on Nougat. I think it is based of @rovo89 module of App Settings so can you please @rovo89 update you App Setting module so we can change the language of specific apps? I really need it for my day to day. Thank you.

Yep, I'm looking for this on Oreo, as well. Doing an initial search, it looks as though Google changed the way locales work in Nougat/Oreo APIs, but I don't know enough about Xposed development to be any use in trying to fix it...

I dont blame @rovo89 per say for it because like you said, it is documented that locale settings changed in Nougat but App Settings has a great proof of concept for other devs to learn a bit about Xposed so it would be nice if he updated it.
Hi,
As @bobertfishbone said, Google changed the way locales work. So I forked the repository and added Nougat & Oreo compatibility.
Here is the link to the git: https://github.com/Flo354/XposedAppLocale
I also made a PR but I don't have much hope for it being reviewed, the project has no activity: https://github.com/jiefoxi/XposedAppLocale/pull/14
Man, I'd LOVE to have a working App Settings on Oreo and Nougat.
App Settings:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-app-settings-v1-9-2014-05-14-t2437377
The app development stopped years ago.
And if app specific notification capabilities could be added to it, that would be icing. Total control of app notifications, size, etc. etc. etc.
Take my donations now!!! $$

Just got back into the country and got the chance to try this out--it works perfectly! Thanks so much for sharing.

On KitKat I used MultiWindow Manager but it doesn't work on 5.1.1. Wanam Exposed works otherwise (for the few things I've tried changing like moving the clock to the center) but NOT for adding more apps to MultiWindow, at the moment anyway.
The app that finally relieved my frustration was MultiWindow Commander [root]. :victory:
Just thought I'd spare you all the time, frustration and refund requests by letting you know which app actually works for us.
I'm using Tab Pro 12.2 SM-T900, but this app will very likely work on any 5.1.1 Samsung tablet running a TW based rom or rooted stock that supports MultiWindow natively, as reviews seem to suggest. I'm running the excellent new Tool ROM btw (it's rooted, deodexed stock with Knox disabled plus Aroma installer to choose which stuff from stock to keep or discard). Works with Xposed as well. Check it out if you have the SM-T 900.
Don't forget to hit the Thanks! button if you found this useful. :good:

Follow directions in this thread regarding Xposed and it works just fine for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...12-2-5-1-1-t3206156/post62914108#post62914108

It only takes a Play Store search you know
Sorry for the late reply. I've been mostly off the grid for a few weeks.
The problem is outside of the T90x (12.2" Tab Pro Series), this thread won't be of much use or interest to those with either the T52x (10.1") or those with a T32x (8.4") Qualcomm based Tab Pro. Since Samsung have basically told their users to go fourth and multiply. Or at the least to by a newer Phablet. Which IMHO works out about the same.
Hey guys,
There are a lot of posts up on XDA with the Pixel XL's feature port for the Nexus 6P. But it gets convenient when everything's under one hood. Also not all are technically sound and well versed with flashing ZIPs, wiping the caches and so on. We need it simple! The common language that we all understand is that of apps.
I've come up with a Nexus 6P-exclusive app that puts everything together and makes it convenient for everyone to get all the features of Google Pixel XL with just a button click.
CREDITS:
gerad_f for his quick update! Please view his thread here.
PREREQUISITES:
1. Google Nexus 6P
2. Root Access with SuperSu installed
3. Android 7.1.1
4. Build N4F26J only (make note, otherwise your device will brick)
5. TWRP installed
NOTES:
1. This app doesn't have a roll-back-to-stock feature, though I'm working on it. In the meanwhile if you want to roll back, simply flash the stock 7.1.1. OTA ZIP which you can fetch from here.
2. There are a few features missed out in the package from Pixel XL though I'm working on porting them too. Read below to know more.
3. The in-app download as of now is about 161 MB so make sure you have enough data / internet before proceeding.
BUGS:
1. A weird one in Google Camera app that the HDR icon randomly disappears. (P.S. same camera version from stock) It requires a workaround which will be updated soon. Though, it isn't a bug with the camera. Just that the HDR icon inside the camera app doesn't show up!
2. In case your wallpaper app crashes, just follow,
i. Open any File Manager (preferably get Root Explorer from Play Store)_
ii. Grant it SuperSu access
iii. Head over to /system/app/Wallpapers-wallpaper/
iv. Just tap the Wallpapers-wallpaper.apk and install it
v. Now try setting a wallpaper to set it.
WHAT'S THERE:
1. Pixel Navigation Bar icons + animation
2. Pixel Live Data Wallpapers + Pixel Live Earth Wallpapers
3. Pixel Launcher
4. Blue Theme
5. Google Assistant
6. Pixel Round Icons
7. Fingerprint Notification Gestures
8. Cherry Picks Store that makes it convenient to select custom MODs and install them!
WHAT'S NOT THERE:
A full roll-back to stock.
DOWNLOADS:
Though the APK has been attached along, kindly take the efforts to download it from the Play Store (links given ahead) and also comment up there; that would be a great motivation for me.
PLAY STORE LINK:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.theincredibleinsider.thegeekylad.nexel6p
Thanks and cheers!

Awesome someone finally took the time to wrap it all up in one. A selection process would be nice for people who might just want the Nav Bar and not the Launcher, or any combination. Also I assume you'll be working on DP2 compatibility now?

I do want to ask though, every single time I unlock my 6P I get a little toast notification that says an app "has been granted Superuser permissions", I can't tell what the purpose of the app actually is. I even denied superuser for it and everything continued working just fine.
So can you just explain what all is in this?

Haha let's hope so. I just changed the build number in the build.prop to force the app to work anyways, and lets just say I don't recommend doing the same. Reflashing the system image now lol.

Pixel Swipe is the app that requires SuperSu access everytime you unlock the phone and that's the app that enables fingerprint gestures for pulling down the notification bar!
The notification bar can be pulled down with a tap on the fingerprint sensor and a press and hold for a subsequent pull up. This is similar to the swipe down and swipe up feature on the Pixel XL. Kindly grant it manual SuperSu permissions for this add-on - it's quite cool, only that system reprioritizes background apps and at times it may not really seem to work at first. At such times, either wait for the system to resume the fingerprint service or manually just tap the Pixel Swipe app in the launcher - it doesn't have a user interface. The tap just starts the service and you're done. Tap the sensor to check its working!

Awesome! Great explanation, thank you. I just updated to DP2 and manually flashed your mods to no avail. Had to reflash the DP2 system image because I was stuck in a bootloop.
I have to say I agree with the previous comment as well that it would be great to essentially have an Aroma-style installer for all your mods. For example, I'm only interested in the launcher, nav bar with animation and the blue system them.
You've really done a great job getting all of this put together. Cheers!

I'll roll out an update that pulls in an aroma-style installer for specific features.
Just heard the news up here regarding the 7.1 NPF26F Developer Preview 2 OTA roll-out for the 2015 Nexus couple. My college's WiFi service is down till 4am after which I can grab hold of the 1.3 gig download.
I guess you can expect an update to this app by evening! You'll be notified to update your app after which you can fetch the same mod, but this time for DP2.
Kindly stay tuned and bear with me!

This is great! Thanks! Also, if you need any assistance with anything just DM me and I'd be happy to help out. I've got decent internet speeds. Also, I remember working on something for the Marshmallow preview back when it had betas for the N6 and we used torrents to share the files back and forth rather than uploading each revision.
In your torrent client, just go to File > Create Torrent and locate the file. Then all you have to do it upload the torrent file rather than the entire file. The more people using it, the better the download speeds. It really saved us quite a bit of time.
Thanks!

Wow that's great news senior! That would have been the perfect strategy with the help of torrents. It wouldn't be required in the current scenario, as I'll fetch it off their servers in exactly an hour and a half when my college WiFi would resume. Plus early morning speeds are slick when my peers are asleep!
Thanks a lot for your support senior, I'll surely need your guidance, shall PM you in which case!

Hi
Mokee's SMS & Keyboard app have some nice qualities (like automatically copying the received verification codes into the clipboard & having emojis in whatever app you use) I would like to have in other roms too.
I tried to port them, but as I'm a noob I faced crashes due to missing dependencies or something.
Could anyone be nice to to so?
If it is possible do it for both MK71.2 & MK81.0
Thank you in advance.
Also Aegis is pretty awesome to have as a Magisk module too.
I know, there was a dev who tried it before but with no success.
Here is the unsuccessful attempt: https://github.com/kvsjxd/Aegis4All
AND Here is the original Aegis source: https://github.com/MoKee/android_packages_apps_Aegis

You can build AOSP keyboard using Android Studio, and then build your own module with the apk, look stackoverflow for tutorials.
Mokee's SMS & Keyboard app are awesome, and "Aegis" is the best most have feature of all. I cant do it myself, but can anyone port these?

Hi. I use a tablet permanently in landscape mode. But in many apps when keyboard pop up, it uses all the screen. In many cases you don't even see what you typing regardless the all screen view.. I really don't understand why they made it this way. I remember in past there was an xposed plugin to fix this. Can't be done something with magisk? I think it is just to much to install xposed only for this. Is there any way to use xposed only for this, without making the system slower?
Thanks,

It's so so annoying, I fully agree! Unfortuately I don't know other ways to do that, but you caught my attention with this Xposed module... Do you remember its name? If it's old, it probably won't work on newer Androids, but maybe worth a shot since I use Xposed

Actually I did a quick research and found out that this module is present in Play Store. And moreover, it's still working on Android 11! Thank you so much for the hint!
As for Xposed, these days we have much more device-friendly Xposed solution named LSPosed. It allows to hook only the apps that are necessary for a module to work. I really recommend it for you if you won't find any other solution. Also I use many other useful modules, if you are rooted and familiar with Xposed to some extent, it's a great field to explore

I readed that an xposed plugin, Apps settings reborn, is still has a working version of full screen keyboard fix per app, and dpi changing per app. And jt works in android 11.. It looks good.

Oh, I have this module installed too and didnt know it has this feature! By the way, LSPosed doesnt have the official thread on XDA (the one existing is unofficial, created by a regular user to discuss about it), but they have official Telegram chat and channel, easy to find
Well i installed it, it looks promising. But for full screen keyboard fix, it doesn't looks like app settings reborn sstting is working.. Most other settings work, so it looks like, some do, some doesn't.. Perhaps i must find an xposed plugin especially for this if it still works..
I'll post if i have a solution.
Edit, it works after all. I set to not display keyboard in full screen, to the app i wanted + system ui + SwiftKey keyboard.. And reboot. Something of all this did the trick..

does gpay with nfc payments and banking apps work with that?
regards
Gpay works fine for paying in apps like Dunkin, etc. but I have not tried NFC. I use my watch for that. My banking apps all work well too. Only Chase complains about root and won't let me use fingerprint for sign in, which is typical for their app without jumping through a bunch of hoops.

Where did you find this audio mod and which one works with the P7
I came across the module when Googling for alternatives to V4A.
The project is here on Github: https://github.com/reiryuki/DTSX-Ultra-ZTE-A2020G-Pro-Magisk-Module
Since Viper4Android doesn't work with my P7 due to unsupported CPU architecture, I use this one instead. It works better than many I've tried. I mostly use it for the built-in compression which is on par with V4A. It's a massive help to smooth out the volume levels in podcasts while I'm out running.

Thanks for the link! I checked it out, but the Playback gain control and FET Compressor that I was looking for are not operational yet. Still, there is a lot of good functionality there and progress is coming along nicely.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the project as more features are added.

By coincidence, I noticed that update to AML this morning. Looking at the changelog, I saw the V4A-RE support but didn't even realize what it was until you brought it to my attention, lol. Perhaps I'll re-enable AML and run it alongside DTSX for a while.
