Hi I started with a Galaxy S7 and now I have a Note 8. When I used the S7 i really like that when you open the phone/contacts app there is a search bar on the top and you can search for your contacts or even for nearby places and call them directly. I am pretty sure that this is also working in Note 8, BUT recently it stopped working. if i go to the "places" tab it still shows recommendations of restaurants, shops, etc nearby, but whenever i try to search for those on the search bar, it always returns with "No Results Found" (even for restaurants that are being shown in the recommendation).
Is anyone having this issue?

While on idle on my AT&T Note 3, I eventually and regularly get the following message:
"Samsung WachOn isn't responding. Do you want to close it?'
Then I select either 'Wait', 'Report', or 'Ok'
Is anyone else running into this? I have cleared its cache, deleted it's data, re-set-it-up, but this still occurs. Outside of disabling the App, does anyone have any suggestions?
I do like this remote app given its show views and suggestions. It integrates well into my Cablevision box, Panasonic TV, and linked Denon receiver.

The last update that I received for WatchOn completely broke the app for me. It is 100% useless as it sits on my device, not that my device isn't bricked anyway. Could always do what I did and get a different 3rd party remote app.
While it is running it is very good. Basically in the background it cannot be left active and needs to be turned off or archived. Just surprised others in this forum aren't also complaining.
Hello all,
I've been using a non-rooted Galaxy note 3 and Gear combo now for a while, but recently decided to take the plunge and flashed Tizen onto my Gear. However, after the upgrade, I can no longer access any of the gear apps in the samsung app store. The initial app store homescreen displays a few apps, such as the editor's picks, etc. but once I select any of the displayed apps, it gives me a "no data" message. It also displays the same "no data" screen if i hit the "Top" or "Category" tabs at the top of the screen I've tried reflashing different versions of Tizen, and presenty have a rooted version of NE9 running.
Has anyone else come across this problem? or better yet, has anyone actually been able to remedy it?
I am getting the exact same problem. Note 3 and Gear 1, just upgraded to Tizen last night and now Gear Manager apps show no data. Hope someone can provide a fix.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with Nougat and am using a Bluetooth mouse to control my phone. Everything seems to work fine except in the Google app and certain other apps. When I initiate a search with OK Google and click on search beneath the voice results which redirects me to the Google results of the Google app, I am unable to left click on any of the links within Google search through the app. Some of the other apps that I installed, including ESPN fantasy, also will not let me click on anything. If I use Chrome and use Google search that way, I am able to click on any of the search results web links and it works without an issue. I also just noticed that when I hold down the left click on my Bluetooth mouse to select and copy text in almost all apps, including the Google app, the pop-up menu allowing me to choose those options does not show up. I am still able to do both of these functions using my finger on the screen. On my previous Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, I discovered if I downgraded to a previous version of Android system webview to a version several months old, I am able to click on the results links using the Google app without a problem. However, I do not see Android system webview listed on the installed apps and therefore cannot downgrade to a previous version. Please help me with this issue because it makes the Google app and a lot of other apps useless. The reason that these factors are so important is that I am in a wheelchair and I am using my wheelchair joystick which acts as a normal Bluetooth mouse to completely control my phone.
im not sure the note 8 would be ideal for you seeing as the s-pen might be impeding some of the mouse interaction, but that aside, have you tried the universal switch in
Accessibility-->dexterity and interaction-->universal switch (ignore the post if you have looked into this already)
once you slide this on you should be able to add custom switches from connected devices, unfortunately i do not have a mouse bluetooth or otherwise to test this out
edit: you might want to try and turn off the power saver under settings-->advance features--> S Pen (just guessing but it might be ignoring click commands due to disable pen input)
Your suggestions did not work. Also, I have tried the universal menu button but I am unable to click it with the Bluetooth mouse. Do you think it is something related to the Android system webview or the Google app? Because I remember last time on the Samsung S7 Edge marshmallow that downgrading those apps to a older version made these problems go away.
Hey folks,
I got an unlocked GS10 (SM-G937U1) straight from Samsung recently and set it up per usual (coming from a Samsung-unlocked GS9). My apps were automatically re-installed by Play Store, I took the latest Samsung update and rebooted. When it came back up, I noticed a little cross icon next to the camera hole punch (see attached). I cannot for the life of me figure out what this is. It wasn't present on the GS9 and I verified that I didn't install any new app that wasn't also installed on the GS9. As a matter of fact, I haven't wiped the GS9 yet and compared the app list on Play Store. Same exact set up of apps, no cross icon on the GS9. I did a few searches on Google and on this Q&A forum but couldn't find anything, so hopefully someone here knows.
And no, I don't have anything remotely related to Christianity or any other religion on my phone.
Your Bixby is Christian... #CrossGate
It's a sign from god to upgrade to s10 plus
probably related to whatever the KYM thing is
Hey, I got a few chuckles out of these replies. Thanks!
Tim got it right though. It's on the wallpaper itself (this).
Ever since Play store changed Interface and got rid of hamburger menu I have been experiencing weird annoying problem. Let's say I type something in search bar, I instantly get the search results suggestions , I click on the suggestion I get the results, but then if I wanna add something to my search request in the bar ,another word, number or even space,as soon as I add another single character the Play store crashes. I tried all the usual fixes, clearing data ,cache, uninstalling Play store,Play services, download manager. After Play store gets automatically reinstalled, for a while I get Interface with the hamburger menu and I have no problems but then it gets changed to new interface after few hours and the problem returns.Any tips would be appreciated. Running non rooted LG velvet 5g on Android 11.
