Hi,
I need the gtalk android_ID as mentioned in http://blog.codepainters.com/2012/01/17/how-to-obtain-gtalk-android-id/ and at the bottom of https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/35659/where-can-i-find-the-android-id-on-my-device
Note that this is different than the android_ID that is given from running adb shell.
The problem is that dialing *#*#8255#*#* does not return anything in the dialer, it just disapears.

I am trying to play around with the SIP client for WM6.
Everything works fine, except on outgoing calls
Until I can figure out how to modify my ipdialplan.xml to ignore () is there a way of disabling my Kaiser from using them when dialing?
Thanks!

The only way I have been able to remove the () combo from phone numbers is to edit the number in Outlook and synchronize. Also, even when I have () combo in a phone number, I have no problem dialing it.

Thanks, but it adds them in to non-outlook contacts as well...
Oposite problem here
I actually had to figure out how to add them I found that when my SIM numbers were imported they all came in from my previous phone as 1234567890, and I wanted (123) 456-7890. Try taking out the parentheses, space(s), and dash(es)?
Had a check through the search but didn't find anythging relating to my minor problem.
I have set up 2 contacts and asigned them to speed dials to activate and another to deactivate call forwarding and this works fine through the phone applet. However, when I try and asign the same codes to a third party app, like the favourite contacts tab in HTC home, the speed dial will not work and returns an error mentioning signal or incorrect number.
The codes I use are
**21* number # to activate
##21# to deactivate
Could it be that these GSM codes are not recognised through the third party apps?
Its not a huge problem but I am curious as to why it doesn't work - I also tried with voice dial but the same error comes back.
Anyone with a similar problem of fix for this?
I am on o2 with stock WM6.1 Rom.
Hi all...
Not quite sure how to search for this particular "feature", but when dialing a number, the numbers show up all together. For example, dialing 555-555-1212, it shows up as 5555551212. Is there a way to get it to show up like (555) 555-1212 or 555-555-1212? Or do I need to install a dialer skin for this?
(Using the Kaiser_HyperDragon_III_Raphael_NoM2D_WWE_20090113 ROM)
TIA!
I downloaded Phone Fusion Visual Voicemail app to my G1. Its an interactive application that displays a list of your voicemail messages which you can also organize via touchscreen, rather than having to call your voicemail number and listening to the automated operator and press buttons. As part of the registration process you must enter in your cell number (Its either your cell number or your voicemail number, I cant get it to work so I dont know for sure.)
Whenever I type in my number a notification pops up that says, "! Registration Failed. Unable to determine this devices phone number."
Now I went to my Settings/ About Phone/ Status/ My phone number...all that was listed under "my phone number" was "unknown". As of right now I dont see an option to edit this status. If anyone has any suggestions or a way to fix this dilemma so I can continue to have fun with my beloved G1 it would be greatly appreciated. Please Help!
The only real information ive heard was: "if your on "flexpay" forwarding is disabled therefore you cant use any of the visual voicemail apps on the market besides the app by t-mobile"
use the official tmo visual voicemail app. its better and it actually works. u just need to have the android data plan and ur good
Ok I am not sure if this is an issue with my mod (cyanongen 5.0.7.1) or and android/google bug or if im simply not using my phone correctly but my issue is this:
When using the text msg app (android 2.1 stock app)... When I start putting in a phone number or name of a contact it should automatically give you suggestions below the field of who you want to send the txt to.. This seems to work with some of my contacts and not with others. I double checked the name and number and they are both correct in my contacts on both my phone and on contacts.google.com so not sure why it isnt working. Any ideas?
